Im in Perth and my S7 Edge is rooted while using the German Firmware APD1.
Thats it, no Xposed or any other modification.
When I launch my NAB bank app, its just black screen, can anyone else try? Im trying to find out if its the firmware or just NAB itself.
thanks
Banking apps sometimes dont work with root. Root cloak for xposed may help

Latest firmware is not out for Australia yet. I keep checking Sammobile every day for it. It shouldn't be too long now before they release it.
Does it matter which carrier your on. As optus vs Telstra vs the rest... When we get the updates of the ota, what's good about Sammobile?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
nevermind, I just checked the Play Store link for NAB,
people are complaining about it. Seems the app is not compatible with the April Update of Android.
I had root on my S7 Edge when I was in February 1 Update and the NAP app works. it stopped when I updated to April 1

I got my update there. Its gonna be awhile for the update to come here in Australia. Samsung S7 EDGE around the world is updated to the April 2 security patches, Edge touch palm fix, native DPI change and Camera shape fix, and were still in the February 1 update. h
Flashing unbranded or another country firmware means you'll lose VoLTE. Might not be an issue for many people, just thought I'd mention it.

whats VoLTE? is the LTE?
LTE/4G is working fine
EDIT!, just looked it up its Voice Over LTE, It seems to be a rare thing to have in Australia, only one telco has it and im not with them.
EDIT2: hey mate your from here too!, Telstra offers them to some few places, im with Optus
Telco devices in Australia are on the Feb patch, unbranded has March.
I debranded my phone with Aus fw, no root. This means Samsung Pay should work when it comes out here.
I like the firmware but not willing to root/cfw as yet... Kind of like being on a standard rom. Everything works as expected! Plus I'm sick of the setup process starting from scratch.. Does unbrandeding, root, new firmware loose all settings?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
You don't get root, so warranty is not affected, but you start from scratch.

That's why I did it right away.

Yes, you loose all settings (just like new device), you start from scratch, Knox will be tripped if you root (warranty now voided), but you get the latest security patches and device updates,
Also de-branding and rooting it removes carrier bloatware and unlocks your device.
Got a new Nexus 5X yesterday and unlocked it before I got going. After installing all the security updates I installed the NAB app to find I also get the black screen. Was wondering if it was something to do with rooting etc but if you guys are having the same issue after the recent security updates would that be a more likely cause?

Hi I have just started to get a message in my notification bar saying I need to do a security policy update. However when I try to do this it tells me that it cannot due to network issues.
Can anyone tell me what is going on here and how to fix it?
I'm using an S4 unbranded on the 3 network.
same issue here, unbranded on o2
im on an unbranded i9505 on o2 and it will not install for me eithr

Same issue here. I'm unbranded on T-mobile. Not sure if it's a Samsung problem or an issue with another app. I've seen on other forums that people have had this issue before and it's always been related to another app causing Knox to get over-protective.
---------- Post added at 02:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:21 PM ----------
Just out of interest, have any of you guys rooted or installed ROMs via Odin at all? I'm wondering if Knox is blocking the update due to the Knox-warranty-void flag. I've unrooted but still seeing the issue.
Same issue, stock unrooted on Vodafone.

It happened the same to me when I tried to install the new .apk of Wallet app. KNOX SUCKS!

Have same issue today on my i9505 unlocked on O2 - prompted to install but times out with network error. I have to press cancel to do anything with the phone.
Stock firmware all delivered OTA in case anyone asks.
Well It's just plain old stock firmware that I'm using. Though I don't have any app called knox.
Knox isn't an app. Its security features that Samsung are building in to their ROMs now.
I have flashed to BTU (from EVR) and it just popped up. Annoying that it doesnt install.
Ok how does that work then?
Ok I'm attempting to ask samsung directly via twitter @samsunguk and @Samsungmobileuk. There are others also in the UK asking them on twitter too!
im not seeing a lot of talk about this error message
for some reason, I thought it would of been a massive conversation today but doesnl look like many have this issue, but Samsung have not even said anything about it

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone in the UK has received the Lollipop OTA or the update via Kies yet?
I am using a EE Note 4 with the BTU 4.4.4 stock rom (BTU CSC aswell). There hasn't been much news that I've seen since around early january about the Note 4 Lollipop update. If anyone has any input on this, it would be great to hear from you. As you can probably tell, I'm new to XDA. But I feel that the best people to speak to about this stuff are on here
P.S. I'm a techie, so any questions or things to talk about regarding this post I would be more than happy to discuss

If its a 910F it should work.
Just to cover your ass, install TWRP, and make a full Nandroid backup.
First flash TWRP via ODIN and backup.
Then install the firmware.

As more and more branded and unbranded Note 4 receive lollipop around the world I find it very difficult to understand why the Note 4 which I bought from the official Samsung Website last November has not received the update.
Has anyone in the UK received the official lollipop update OTA for the unbranded Note 4?
I have just spoken to the UK Samsung support and they said I should get it on 27th April and to phone them if I don't get it.
They said it has been delayed because of bugs but couldn't explain why it has been delayed longer for me compared to most others unless I am getting 5.1 instead of 5.02.

Interesting to see if the come through with that update on that date.
Uk unlocked note 4 user here. They bug reason does not surprise me at all, my other half has a S5 has the lollipop update back in Jan she has regretted it ever since, all sorts of issues with the radio particularly when disconnecting from wifi back to 3/4g she is left without a data connection.
From what I gather the 2 phones use the same if not similar radios.

I want to make sure we can still unlock the phone. We should be able to get a complete CM13 now if the bootloader can still obtain perm unlock and we have perm root.
I haven't seen any new phone released since our Note 4s that delivers every feature I want plus more, so I'm planning on sticking with our note 4s for some time to come.

I bought G935FD from Amazon 3 weeks ago- it's unlocked and carrier-free. I've been using it out of the box, no root. Some parts of the box was typed in Arabic indicating it's from/for UAE.
I live in US and have been using MetroPCS (uses T-mobile network). It seems to work flawlessly.
1. Will I get OTA updates? I doubt MetroPCS will do it for this international version from UAE.
2. If above is no, what's the best way to get the latest updates / how do I know my phone has the latest version?
3. What are CSC and PDA?
4. I came across this link: Which country is best for me living in US? Should I continue to use the stock UAE it came with? Any advantage for other countries? (some countries get latest updates faster?)
As for updating FW- a step-by-step guide is appreciated. I've been reading up, and it involves using Odin, but there seems to be tons of different country/region versions for G935FD- and I get concerned about bricking my phone or messing it up.
So many questions.

1. You should get OTA updates. They will come from Samsung and not your carrier.
3. CSC is your region and or carrier code that identifies your Samsung firmware.
4. OJV may not update as often as the other UAE firmware (XSG). A lot of Americans run XSG or Spanish AMO. If ya need help. You can PM me and I'll help get ya sorted.

1. So why XSG or AMO for G935FD users in US over hundreds of other countries? What's makes those two compatible? If I use other countries, what happens to the phone?
2. Which one do you use?
3. This is bit of a different topic, does your phone suffer from Media Server battery drain? Mine does and that's what prompted me to update my phone hoping there's a fix out (deleting/backing up pics help, but it reoccurs)

Most people use those firmwares over others because they support Samsung pay. I personally use AMO because it has the add benefit of wifi calling and and white pages. As for the battery drain issue. You shouldn't be having that issue. I know I don't experience that issue with AMO. It could be a problem that was fixed in a later patch.

That's the correct one. Since you're switching firmwares use the AMO_CSC file rather than the Home_CSC file. That way it'll wipe your phone clean. Make sure youve got security PIN setup because you'll be asked for it after reset. Other than that. Just follow the instructions and it'll be smooth sailing.

Thanks. I'm learning a lot here. Getting ready to do it now. More Qs:
1. So with AMO, I can now use Samsung Pay? Is this the correct version for my phone? I presume this is not available on Google Play because it bypasses Samsung bloat if done through the phone? (if so, I need to manually update this app as new versions get released?)
2. Will wifi calling also work too as MetroPCS supports too right? (it did for my previous phone on MetroPCS)
3. This G935F firmware should work flawlessly despite my phone being G935FD right? I think I read this, just making sure.
4. How does whitepages work- AMO comes with it or do I need to download White Pages app?

You'll need to install the Samsung pay framework and Samsung pay app in that order from APK mirror website. Just read the description for the app before you download to be sure its the US version and it's compatible with the frame work. In order to make white pages work you'll need to enable it from the Phone app settings. G935F works with FD.

Hi All,
I'm a little confused as to where us U firmware users stand with Nougat. I've seen differing reports of what the known plan is with this. I believe some are saying we're waiting for Verizon to release it to the 935u, otherwise I'm reading that we're on a quarterly update schedule and won't be seeing anything until April.
I bought my 935V from VZW and flashed over to unrooted U firmware - actually by using the normal flash method and then doing a firmware restore from verizon's utility to get full unroot. Not exactly a typical method, but it gave me peace of mind knowing everything is completely stock U.
Everything is running great so I'm not in urgent need of an update for any reason, but would like to see some new features.
Lemme know if anyone has any clues here as for what to expect. Thanks in advance!
Not exactly sure what you mean by going full "unroot".. unless you ment, you wanted the U firmware for a smoother "root" can you please clarify bubby?

Good to know. Thanks.
I had to root in order to flash U FW, but the root process we have for GS7 is really process heavy and battery draining. I wanted an unrooted version of the U firmware with no bullsh*t and good battery life so I unrooted and restored using the software tool.

Ah Gotcha, sorry I misunderstood the op. Maybe give the T or V carrier FW a spin till U gets released? I haven't upgraded yet but am tempted. Been using stang 5.0 rom and been pretty impressed. I'd say I would recommend it even with the faults of the eng boot.
I also believe I seen a "no root no bull**** playstore Nougat rom" by jkruse, or something to that effect. If that's something your into
Lots of cry babies over in the Samsung forums. I can see why everyone is so upset but Samsung never promised faster updates for unlocked variants over carrier models. I'm content waiting at least until April for the nougat release of the 935u. Screw Verizon bloat. It's not worth putting up with it for Nougat.
There are some articles with Samsung's new commitment for monthly security updates on unlocked devices. This should mean that the 935U will get Nougat this month with March security update.

I've downloaded the nougat U firmware and can't get it to install over the latest VZW firmware, the one that came out in the last few days. Has anyone been able to, if so please outline your steps.
I have U firmware on Verizon s7 edge works as charm. Use latest Odin to install the firmware

I would flash the full Odin package for U 6.0 and then use Smart Switch PC to update to 7.0.

Yes i have the original UDP and the tethering option works. How ever i cant get the verizon video calling to work??
So from what I'm getting, to install (if I'm on Verizon Nougat), flash Unlocked 6.0 first, then smart switch to 7.0? Also, I read that someone had been having issues with using LTE while in a phone call, can anyone confirm? And what happened to all the other fix files, since I remember the first time flashing the unlocked software required more subsequent flashes as well.
