I need help.
I have a galaxy S7 edge. I got this phome for gaming only. But now most of the best high end games are not compatible with it. Even modern combat 4 which was earliers compatible is now not compatible. Many games which are able to run smoothly onndevices with lower specs are not compatible with my S7 edge.
Some games like brother in arms 2, seven knights, modern combat 4, batman akhram city lockdown, call of duty strike force which can be played on my galaxy J7 but are bonot compatible with galaxy S7 edge.
How then S7 edge is a gaming smartphone
Can anyine pleasee help me to resolve this?

the gpu powervr sgx544mp3 in i9500 is it still strong enough for upcoming games like modern combat 5?
its not about strong enough, its about how much optimization its going to get, the i9500 lags when playing gta vice city, an old galaxy s2 doesnt lag, this shows that the optimization is not that good, lets hope it gets better ones....
I am considering buying the note 4 snapdragon version.. I currently have the s6... but I have seen some videos and the heavy games seem to lag: modern combat 5 and real racing for example.... Have updates solve this problem or performance is not that great on the snapdragon note 4?

Doesn't the S6 come out on April 10th?Also Exynos and Snapdragon are both good...maybe the Exynos has somewhat higher frames and if you are about that then go with the Exynos variant.
lol i meant s5 sorry lol
Hi, I have the Note 4 910F, the snapdragon version, and Real Racing 3 runs perfectly on it. No lag, no overheat. The Exynos version has more temperature range between start and máximum performance where at this point is higher than the snapdragon versión.
For the rest there's no differences you could appreciate.
Greetings.

Mine's goes perfectly smooth and it's stock version. Something goes wrong on yours.

Really? Your W8 that bad?
Should run great. Have run that game and other high demand games on both stock and rooted/rom'd.
TW is brutal, yes but on this beast it's actually "manageable" and runs everything just fine. Maybe it's something else in background holding yours back?
Currently still using my Note 4 as my daily but may switch back to my Nexus 6 now that LP 5.1 has been pushed out.
i have 910G with snap.. I played games and benchmarks . I don't see any heat on it.
if some one have heat wipe his phone
Not that good?? Lol have a look at the score I got on Antutu for 3D Graphics. The Exynos Version can't touch that ;D. So for gaming get the snapdragon Version.
And for CPU stuff get the Exynos Version.
Sent from my SM-N910F.
^ have to agree. The Snapdragon version and it's GPU can hold its own and should work more then fine

I am using the n910w8 and I do not experience any lag while gaming.
n910f no lag wile playing real racing 3 but the game has bad grafic no antilaizing
does that mean all videos on youtube are fake? cuz the heavy games really lag on the snapdragon version
On mine 910F, stock 5.0.1 (Snapdragon), not rooted, Real Racing 3 and also many games lags terribly. Tried factory reset, won´t help...but for example Subway Surfer runs great even for a long time...don´t know what´s the problem.
Galaxy S7 Edge should be supporting Vulcan API, shouldn't it? And I think the game I try to play is not ran under Vulcan, meanwhile the game, NFS no limits is supposed to support Vulcan. Yet there are a few problems I encountered:
1. The game is not guaranteed to successfully launch every time. After I installed it from play store, I have tried about 10+ times to successfully launch it. However when I try to open the game again, it occasionally crash immediately. I don't know if anyone of you having the same device encountered this too.
2. Gaming graphics and performance seems not showing my S7 edge's potential power. Graphics-wise, I have seem many videos on YouTube that people ran this game on their S7 (edge) with very nice graphics. However my S7 edge doesn't have such graphics, and the graphics is just similar to the Note 3 I have. Performance-wise, I tried to upgrade the graphics by replacing the graphics json file by the one from Nvidia Shield Tablet, the game definitely looks better, yet it is still not as good and runs smoothly as those S7s I saw on YouTube, and my S7 overheats quite easily.
As a matter of that, I suspect that my S7 edge is not running this game in Vulcan API, or my game is not a Vulcan version. Are there any extra settings to be done to enable Vulcan instead of OpenGL?
My S7 edge is definitely not a counterfeit, and it's the S820 version, which supposedly supports Vulcan API.
Exynos here and Vulkan doesn't work on my S7 Edge either. Maybe it's because I have a custom rom. Not sure. When You go to "Devices" in Aida64 it should say "No vulkan devices found". Anyone knows why?
Mine too sayes "No vulkan devices found". And I'm on stock never rooted. No idea.
same here!
We have to wait for android nougat to support vulkan api...nobody has vulkan api yet!!!
Exynos user here.
NFS No Limits is working every time.
Also, the default graphics (at least on the exynos version) is high, almost the same level of graphics as NVIDIA shield.
But, on most of the kernels (Stock + 99% of custom kernels) The game is almost unplayable after 5-10 minutes of actual gameplay, Because of samsung DVFS.
Only solution to this problem is to set the CPU governor to Performance, then the game works pretty smooth.
Another option is to use ImageBreaker kernel, he fixed the DVFS problem. This is the onl kernel which doesn't need to set the cpu governor to performance.
Every game work smooth using it.
Well, I found just one game, Dream League, that runs smoothly. (3d games)
And there's my question, why does the gaming on this phone suck? Can't play NFS No limits, Real Racing 3, Fifa 17, without lag... even low titles lag.. like pixel bus simulators etc.. i disabled also DVFS.. still laggy ..
Try to disable power save mode.
Also disable battery saver in Game Center.
Hi everyone,
I've an old unused Galaxy Note N7000.
Do you think it could be possible to turn it into a retro games emulation station?
Is there any ROM built for that?
Or it has to be done through Android and other apps (such as RetroArch).
I would like to build a handheld console for retrogaming with a controller that holds the smartphone.
any advice?
this post is useful but obviously it is pretty outdated:

tried retroarch. It's so slow even SNES games are slow.
Don't know if it's because of the core or other problems
