I'm having Nexus 10 with broken USB port.
I need to unlock the bootloader to flash CM 13.
any idea how to unlock the bootloader without USB?
Give the magnetic pin port a try. Solder a female port to it. Should be able to access bootloader from there too.

Hope someone here can help me.
I have rooted and unlocked my Nexus 7, and now I am able to use an USB stick to put my movies/music/books on. Which works great most of the time. But, I do come across a tiny problem. Its impossible to charge my Nexus while using the USB stick, or the other way around.
Do they exist, USB connectors for in my Nexus 7, with 2 USB-plugs, so I can at the same time charge and use my USB stick for movies?
It's possible with an otg y cable and a kernel that allows this mode. HERE a Thread about this function.
Thanks for the answer, but as I am not an expert on Rom/Kernel. I have paranoidandroid 3+ installed with stock kernel. What kernel would be recommended for this to work?
Try M-Kernel a46 if you have an y cable.
first tried to unlock but said couldn varify device
then clicled ulock again and this happend

Try using a different USB port and/or cable. If that doesn't work try a newer/older version of the unlock tool. I had a similar hurdle and using an older version of the tool and a different USB port got me through it. Good Luck!

also it some time doesnt detect the device
says press any key to shut down on phone screen
I am trying to unlock bootloader, I've done everything correctly and it told me I had to wait 360 hours
I've waited this period and now that I'm trying to finally unlock it, it says that the unlock tool couldn't verify the device
I did enable OEM unlocking and USB debbugging
Edit
Now that I have retried the procces a couple times the unlock tool magically was able to verify the device but now it gets to 99% and then "Couldn't Unlock"
(See new attachment)
I had the same problem, turning off USB debugging and then turning it back on fixed the "couldn't verify device" error, for the "couldn't unlock" one, take a look here https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/help/unlock-bootloader-failure-t3920565

Hi,
Since two days ago, my phone USB connection is only working for charging, no data transfer of any kind (Windows/Linux computer, Android Auto, OTG devices).
I was using latest Xiaomi Eu weekly, but changed to Pixel and Xiaomi Eu stable to test, without any luck. The same happens from TWRP bootloader or in Fastboot mode.
Tried many cables that are working with other phones.
What else can I try? Any idea?

That is strange, mate! I don't think USB c port is broken. I would try a clean install with Mi flash (clean stock). Some partition may be corrupted
I also had the problem with an original cable. there was only loading no flash and no data transfer. to test I had used a different cable and it worked! to this day one cable only works for charging and that was an origibal xiaomi.
test it out before you repair the usb-c!
also, use a flashlight to see if there is no dust/cloth fibers in the phone/cable port.
Thank you all for your support. No luck yet.

Can I do that without USB connection? Phone is not recognized by PC even in Fastboot or Bootloader.

At first sight there is nothing inside, I will try to clean it somehow just in case.
you can use ftp to send files if you need.
as for usb you use compressed air and needle to take out dirt
if that won't work, buy USB board - it costs about 5$ and replacement is just plug and play
I think I know the answer but..
I've got a TB-X704F with a broken USB-C socket (charges, no data - system, adb or fastboot).
I've had an electronics store replace the socket, but still no data.
Is there any way I can unlock the bootloader without fastboot/adb shell?
SD slot and wifi work fine, I just want off the stock ROM.
Thanks
