Hello I tried to flash dorimanx 11.2 kernel onto lgg2 with cloudy g2 2.2. It is the T-mobile LGG2 so D801.
I tried to flash using twrp. it said flash was successful. The screen came up with
[900] Fastboot mode started.
when I plug the phone into my computer it says
--reset--
--postchaerge--
When I go to devices on my computer it has under unspecified "Android" and it says there are no drivers installed for it, though lg g2 drivers are on my computer and I've been using them lately.
My phone does not stay off. It automatically boots to LG logo then to fastboot mode
If I hold down power and volume. It goes to LG screen and stays there for 5-10 seconds then the screen goes blank and the red LED indicator starts flashing. It seems to keep doing this until I release the power and volume down and then it goes to LG to fast boot.
If I reboot the phone by holding power+vol down and when the LG logo appears release both and then press them again it goes to factory data reset screen.
Thanks for any help, KipKipK
Okay, I waited overnight and no replies. Has no one seen this before. Is this phone dead. I will be sitting at my computer for the next few hours if someone would help walk me through something
*** update
tried to get into download mode this morning. power + vol up plugged into PC
IT WORKED! However it only had the download screen up for a few seconds when it changed to firmware update.
Going from the top of the screen down it says.
1 firmware update.
2 then has a connection symbol with rotating circles around it
3 it says DO not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete.
4 Then a progress bar at 0% that isn't moving
5 Lastly it has a panel that says USER B100 and a few lines down ROOTED
Under devices it is now detected as LG AndroidNet Phone
Under device manager it says under ports. LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM14)
you Are OK my friend don't worry ... now you should flash the original firmware for your phone ... read here carfully and you should be just fine

you can also try to go to TWRP again first (before flashing original firmware)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534981
Awesome. I'll follow that guide + what you said to do and inform you how it goes.
*** THANK YOU! phone is revived. Time to start the process over again and figure out where I went wrong.
I have no idea how this happened since i just did this yesterday and it worked perfectly but i'm in a boot loop now.
1. I got stock
2. updated to 5.0.2
3. rooted
4. installed auto rec
5. rebooted
6 flashed twrp .
7 restarted. and now i'm in a boot loop.
The only thing the phone does is repeatedly go to lg logo. No LED light on.
I can get to factory reset screen.
It doesn't seem like I can get to download mode. I am trying by holding power button until phone goes and stays black. Then I press up vol button and plug into usb, but it just goes to LG boot loop again.
***Okay. NOW I ****ED UP. turned the phone off again to try and get it into download mode. Now the screen is black and it won't even go to LG screen.
So, It looks like I probably want to try and do the factory reset, which will get me to twrp, if I can get back to the factory reset screen but now the phone is just stuck off. (no blacklight on)
***Because the phone wouldn't turn on I decided to try to remove the battery. Somewhere in the process of removing the back cover the phone decided to start the boot loop again.
- I used this to get to factory reset, which got me to twrp.
- What do I do now? I found some posts that sound similar to what I want but really don't want to mess anything up so i'm just going to wait for a reply
- long term goal is to get cloudy g2 2.2 and dorimanx.
Since I didn't get a reply I just kind of said eff it and flashed the cloud g2 2.2 rom and the KK baseband. Device is now functioning. Time to decide if it is worth getting the kernel
what is the situation now is your phone go to twrp or not what is the situation here .

if your phone can go to download mode just flash the original firmware . and tell me what kind of original firmware is it KITKAT or JELLYBEAN and don't upgrade to 5 LP

http://www.gregtwallace.com/lgg2-projects/twrp/?version=2.8.7.3

I have tried to use the quoted 2nd link, downloaded the dload file and used it. somehow on the middle of the installation process it stops and all the button lights start to blink faster than their initial frequency when the progress bar is going. i don't know what the fix is for this. i have a feeling that this can help me get back my lost 8gb internal SD if i would have been able to flash it successfully on my ideos7.
has anybody tried this already, would be happy to know.
Blinkers
Do not use battery. Use only power connector. First press back and power on and after a few sec leave power button. You should see a white bar. Leave Back button and disconnect charger. Keep stock firmware in external sdcard formatted to FAT32 under dload and make sure you have only unlmt.cfg and along with UPDATA.APP and upg.
Reconnect charger and press power on. If the flashing does not start try again. Fast blinking happened to me, say after 5 bars or may be 6. After rooting device I tried some mod and ended up in a mess. Had to start all over again. But it started and went thru properly after two tries.

Hello as the title says my phone wont boot into download mode. I got the phone and downgraded it and was able to root it. The phone was working perfectly all day, I plugged the phone in at night and went to sleep and i woke up and the phone was booted to recovery (Philz Touch 6) and when i try to reboot the phone it shows the LG screen then goes straight to recovery if i power off and hold the volume up button the phone still goes into recovery and trying "adb reboot download" wont work, it just hangs in terminal and never completes command.
Sounds like it did an ota update without your permission as lg does try wiping caches data system not I ternal storage your going to have to flash a custom ROM through adb sideload

I had some problems last night when I wiped my baseband so I reverted to stock using the lg flashtool. I decided to update the software before reinstalling paranoid android. I left the device plugged in and when I installed the official software but when it rebooted , it errored and I was stuck in fastboot mode. I couldn't even get into download mode. I started up adb and decided to flash the recovery through fastboot after some brief reading and now when it reboots , following the lg logo , i get the fastboot stuff again for only a brief second before it shuts down. Also , when I connect the device to the computer , I get a message telling me to format drive (F) which I assume is a problem with the phone. PLEASE GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS. I AM DESPERATE AND FREAKING OUT A LITTLE

a little update - the fastboot text says something about boot certificates when it flashes and apparently it doesn't shut down , the screen stays on but displays black. Also , more than just drive (F) appears. I get nearly 20 drives and only one of them works. (E) has a folder title "image" and lists of files
There is a way. I had to fastboot laf and recovery. For my spicific model ofcourse

Try qfil method, between the reboots there is a chance your device gets recognized. Before that: empty your battery completely(otg) and check if bootloop is gone
i have the same issue someone guide please.

Even I have the same problem.
I locked The bootloader after installing cm13, and the phone went to bootloop, now I cannot unlock my phone. Somehow I went to fastboot mode and tried all the commands to unlock the phone. And the phone responded "Access denied".
Tried with qfil also and it didn't work. Some or the other error. My phone is dead, someone please help me..
Try this..
Remove battery belt,
To switch off your phone.
Then attach it again,
Keep pressing UP volume button while your phone is off and attach USB.
As your computer detect Qualcomm Port, click on DOWNLOAD button in QFIL & install stock firmware again.
Try at your own risk.
Been there.. Had the same issue..
Exactly the same.. Flashed zui, then mokee and boom.
Unstoppable boot loop. Just zuk logo followed by a small vibration and restart.
I am giving you the solution.
1. Let the battery die. It will take 7,8 hours.
---------- Post added at 04:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:53 PM ----------
2. Download these-
a. Tool all in one
b. Fastboot drivers
c. Lenovo/zuk drivers
d. Pc
e. Twrp 3.0.2(flashable img format)
f. Rom and gapps (download them afterwards only if rom isnt present, You will know it after the process.)
---------- Post added at 05:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:58 PM ----------
Steps.
1. Let the phone die.
Press power button when it stops - this will start the whole bootloop process again.
Do this till there is just a 2 min loop mode ie. It loops for just 2 min, then goes off.
*power + any key combination doesnt work. No twrp and no fastboot mode.
*pressing power button for 30 second to switch off the phone doesnt work.
2. Install all softwares.
---------- Post added at 05:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:03 PM ----------
3. Press vol up and down both and connect usb from pc. It goes to fastboot mode.
*dont remember exactly if it was vol up + vol down OR vol up+ vol down + power. Try both please.
4. See if phone shows up in connected fastboot devices. If not, do this-
a. Remove phone. Check driver status of pc.
b. Retry if all seems right.
5. It connects in fastboot mode.
6. Now let me tell you the basic problem - you have a relocked bootloader courtesy zui.
So, you will have to unlock it again.
*full data gets wiped due to this process. Your internal memory is formatted.
7. Check bootloader status. If its locked, unlock it. Then, flash twrp again.
*flashing twrp isn't compulsory, but we are doing it as an added safety check.
8. If it isn't locked, you are lucky, just flash twrp again.
9. Reboot to recovery from tool all in one.
10. If successful, reboot to system from twrp. If your previous rom is present and it boots up, its great.
Otherwise, you would have a zuk logo that doesn't restart, it stays there continously. Press power button for 30 second to switch off the phone. Download rom and gapps and flash them via external usb through twrp.
---------- Post added at 05:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:16 PM ----------
11. If this fails, there is a method called qfil (as stated by @strongst).
There is also a youtube video for qfil method. Channel is dtech terminal, watch it to see how its done. It also has the links to all files for qfil.
*I am in no way related to dtech terminal. Sorry moderators if i am violating any policy by giving link kf ylutube channel.
I'm in the same situation and found solution as below link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/help/boot-loop-cyanogen-logo-t3666056
Hello,
Sorry I came here with such noob things but I really dont have idea of what Ive done, I rooted my Moto G4 plus and all went good, but then I noticed that I wasnt able to download certain apps because of the root so I wanted to unroot my device and I ended up in twrp recovery wiping my system and had no clue of what I did until I noticed I had no OS. So then I started looking how the hell I was going to get back my OS, and when I was in the twrp UI, I pressed the power button+volume key because I wanted to get back to the recovery screen and the device turned off.
Now the phone doesnt even turn on and the white Led light blinks when I plug it in to the charger but thats the only thing the phone does now. I tried the 2+ minutes power+volume pressing with no success, could you guys please help me?
I was going to suggest the two minute volume down and power button thing but I just noticed you tried it already.
---------- Post added at 07:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:41 PM ----------
Did you hold the volume down button and then press and hold the power button, in that order, for two minutes?
You have hard bricked your device. In TWRP, you can wipe the entire system and the internal storage. I have done it and then I connected my device to the computer. Because of adb drivers, I was able to push/copy the zip file of ROM into the device and then just flashed the ROM and it worked.
Connect the device to the computer and it should hopefully recognize as "qhsusb_bulk" or "qualcommloader" or something like that in the device manager's port options (I am referring to Windows).
Similar thing happened to my device and the LED light would glow when connected to charger. My phone was recognized as qhsusb_bulk by the computer and I followed this tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-hardbrick-solved-guide-t3657761
There is a youtube video too for the following tutorial in which the creator purposely bricks his device and then brings it back to life. Here is the link to his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2NqpY6X-X4
However, your case is different than what happened to me so it may or may not work. Anyways you can give it a shot and I would recommend watching the video first as it will give you a brief idea.
Here is what I understood how the process works (I might be wrong). While flashing image on MediaTek devices through the computer, we switch off the device, connect it to the computer and then flash image without loading the bootloader. Here, we are doing a similar sort of thing and flashing some other bootloader to our device while it's switched off. Then we boot into the new bootloader and then flash the bootloader of our device. Once you have access to the bootloader, then you can pretty much do anything.
Good luck!
