Device is A6000 plus running official Lollipop ROM. Stock recovery. Not rooted.
Question.... how to set both sim to 3G? On custom ROM it's possible but on Official ROM seems not possible. Is there a way?

Both SIMs can't use 3G network at the same time. But, you can set any of the, SIM1 or SIM2, to use 3G network. For that, dial *#*#4636#*#* from dialer, and first set the other SIM to GSM only mode and then set, the SIM you want to use 3G network with, to WCDMA preferred or WCDMA only mode.

i have an italian Galaxy s4 i9505, stock rom, no root, nothing modded yet
it is an LTE version and, but i'm surprised that going in settings --> network mode i can't choose LTE, but i have just GSM and WCDMA or GSM/WCDMA auto connect.
anyway, where i live there is still no LTE network. could this depend on the SIMcard?
is that normal?

Yep, same on my Switzerland S4 (i9505)
You will require a LTE enabled sim card.
Whether you have a LTE sim or not you will see the option for LTE.
Your provider / carrier doesn't support LTE since the option was removed.
If you just want to see the option, grab another country/carrier firmware.

i have a no brand terminal, so i should be able to see the lte switch...
i'm surprised of this
i will flash a custom rom when i see one that i like, there are still too few
I also have an unbranded i9505 and didn't have the lte option, tried many different stock roms/modem/csc combinations, but it still didn't appear.
I changed some the lte pref mode setting from gsm_wcdma_only to gwl and still don't have the option. But my carrier activated lte yesterday in my area and i got a 4g signal, so even though i am not able to choose that in the settings it will connect regardless.
ok!
this is good to know, i hope i can try if it works soon
thanks!
Flash it with the uk btu firmware available from sammobile
I am using G2 in India on Reliance CDMA.
It works either thru OMG sim or thru NAM settings in NV mode...
Call / Text / EVDO all works perfect in stock roms as well as CM based roms upto JB...
I tried all the KK based roms out there for G2 VZW..
But, EVDO or 1x is not working in any of KK Roms in NV or RUIM mode.
I see menu for network settings in JB based roms is different in KK based roms.
JB roms used to have many options like EVDO, CDMA, GSM, WCDMA, etc
But in KK only 3 options viz 3G, 2G or Global. Also, in KK, I had to go to phone info thru *#*#4636#*#* n select WCDMA preferred n that way GSM was working fine with data even on KK but no success with data on CDMA.
Pls help if someone has pointers...

Did you have any luck with fixing this ? I have a similar issue with my Sprint G2 on Airtel , here is the thread
I have tried many CSC but no luck
I check Volte option in CSC also
What is rcs?
Article about Rcs
https://www.geekiest.net/post/Reliance-Jio-RCS.aspx
I get 4g network but i cant make call as my network only support Volte call only

Is their something to do with band with
On my more search i found that s5 has some bandwidth modifications
Since JIO volte bandwidth may not be supported by s5
My questions is that. In which rom are all bandwidth open.
Jio network band 40(2300) ; 5 (850) ; 3 (1800)
Galaxy S5 SM-G900F - LTE 800/850/900/1800/1900/2100/2600 Europe(LTE Variants) for Europe
I guess my S5 does not have 40(2300). I not sure but i guess that is i cant connect to internet but i cant mak call.
May be for internet JIO use band 5 and 3 but for volte may be we need bandwidth 40. (Cant say it truly
I tried to change band setting from QXDM
For 40 - 549755813888 ( no network)
Then agian changed to 549755813908 (which is total of 3 ,5 and 40) network is back but still no volte
After so much of reading.
Still no luck. I wonder how did oneplus team get band 40 and 41.
The problem is that after going nv setting via pc i did change code but still no luck.
In india Volte is on band 40 and band 41. As per knowledge 801 support both band.
Why cant i get to work.
If see the below attachment i have volte option but on my provider it work only band 40 and 41.
Then did add all Lte band as per post
If you i have two option for band all at last.

Okey , is there any way to enable volte ,in g900i....currently I cant
It bought g900i.
You can try phonix rom with csc that has volte option.
I guess it will work for you since your bootloader support band 40.

I found the link..but it says the ROM is for g900F is it safe to flash that ROM on G900I
Install TGY(HONG KONG) lollipop firmware on your 900F .you will get volte option in setting/more network/ mobile network/ volte toggle will be there and a volte toggle button in quick panel .
Also in marshmallow but not works try newer or older MM .volte works in all 3 bands as i tested in note4 901C which does'nt have band40 in JIO 4G
I had this problem for Years before. On the first day, I didn't even have signal in a well populated area with my network Three Ireland. Make sure your phone is set to the 4G/3G Option or even use 3G/2G when calling and switch to 4G when using Data. I'm pretty sure certain networks don't support VoLTE and so they don't do well when you try to configure your SIM on 4G. It should work if you use 3G or 2G. I updated to Marshmallow and this fixed the problem. When I go into the Settings of my SIM Card (Call Forwarding etc.), My phone switches to 3G or 2G and once I exit that menu it goes to 4G again. Not a complete fix but I figured it depends on the Network.

Yes, volte only provided by some carriers like in india jio 4g .i saw some post that having problem while call that 4g network swicthes to 3g after call end back to 4g . Try to open android service menu and set lte/wcdma/gsm this might fix *#*#4636#*#* or use shotcut master app using root method

Just swap your sims. Now your 3g SIM is the first one.
My SİM 1 input is broken.İam using SİM 2.

Then try to disable SIM1 in settings, perhaps, it will set SIM 2 as 3g. The case is normally for zenfone 3g SIM is the second one. But in nougat roms 3g SIM is the first one for some reason.
If disabling SIM 1 in settings will not help, then the only chance is to use roms below nougat version: stock, stock mods or any custom rom of 4, 5 or 6 android versions.
Hello. I got a fairly used G530T1 MetroPCs. Calls and data works fine, only problem is 3G(WCDMA) won't work. If i change preferred network settings to WCDMA Only, the network signal goes off totally. I've flashed most stock ROMs and custom ROMs i can find here, but the problem still persists. The SIM works fine on other phones, so it is not the SIM card. I have tried other SIM cards too, still the same problem.
Anybody with a workaround or a fix should kindly help me out. Thanks
My G530T (T-Mobile) doesn't connect to 3G or 4G, only to LTE. I think that's just due to the hardware.

I thought that the MetroPCS version didn't come with WCDMA support. Many devices only support GSM, and because this device was never meant to run on WCDMA networks (Metro is GSM only), you might not be able to have these bands. However, if this is not your main device, and the phone is unlocked, you could try flashing an odin file for another version of the Grand Prime. MAKE SURE that your grand prime has the same chipset as the file your flashing, as some grand prime devices have a different chipset. Also, you might have to use a patched version of odin, which is all over xda.
