Hello. I got a fairly used G530T1 MetroPCs. Calls and data works fine, only problem is 3G(WCDMA) won't work. If i change preferred network settings to WCDMA Only, the network signal goes off totally. I've flashed most stock ROMs and custom ROMs i can find here, but the problem still persists. The SIM works fine on other phones, so it is not the SIM card. I have tried other SIM cards too, still the same problem.
Anybody with a workaround or a fix should kindly help me out. Thanks
My G530T (T-Mobile) doesn't connect to 3G or 4G, only to LTE. I think that's just due to the hardware.

I thought that the MetroPCS version didn't come with WCDMA support. Many devices only support GSM, and because this device was never meant to run on WCDMA networks (Metro is GSM only), you might not be able to have these bands. However, if this is not your main device, and the phone is unlocked, you could try flashing an odin file for another version of the Grand Prime. MAKE SURE that your grand prime has the same chipset as the file your flashing, as some grand prime devices have a different chipset. Also, you might have to use a patched version of odin, which is all over xda.

Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, and I can't get the sim to register on network, on GSM mode, but it works just fine on WDCMA, or LTE, and I need the GSM mode at home, because 3G network is only available outside.. I checked the sim into another phone, it works fine on GSM mode, so it's something about my phone... not the sim... can anyone help me solve the problem ? do you have any ideas?
by the way, I tried with many firmwares by now, 4.4.2 and 5.0 ... and still nothing
Hey everyone. I have installed multiple custom ROMS on my phone including unofficial temasek and xperia cm 12.1 razor ROM and all of them end up with an exclamation point next to my cellular signal. Stock I have to issues with only custom ROMs. I made sure AT&T APN was correct and the preferred network was LTE. I know I have LTE signal because if I install stock it works fine. Any suggestions?
have you tried manually registering on att lte through cellular network setting?

I am new to this forum, so pardon if I made any mistake in posting.
Well, I have recently undergone a remote support session from oneplus team, during which I they have flashed my device with an special software (it was done to address broken fingerprint sensor repair). But unluckily I ended up with no LTE on my phone.
I was using same phone with network provide in the same area on LTE prior to that session, but later on my device no more work on LTE. Kindly help me resolving this issue.
I have tried putting my SIM in other phone, LTE works there, (other phone is Oneplus X, and in same area).
I have tried putting in other sim of same network but still no luck.
I have tried putting in a different network sim card in my phone and it works on LTE.
My understanding is, the the current ROM has locked the band which I was using earlier for LTE. Kindly advise.
I was tinkering with the internal settings which we get by dialing "*#*#4636#*#*" , and i accidentally locked it to USA Band.
Can anybody help me with this?.In 4G only internet works calls dont work.
I have tried factory reset as well as flash the stock rom ,no luck :crying:

I fixed it by first flashing cm-13.1 which also flashed radio for me.
This fixed my band issue.
Then reverted back to cm-12.1 stock rom ,waiting stable MM release. :stuck_out_tongue:

My device work only 4G network,2G and 3G network doesn't work and all outgoing n incoming calls are banned my network is aslo blocked on USA band. Please help me. How I can solve my network problem.
I have the latest Quarx CM11 ROM in this device. I had India Airtel 2G sim previously in this device and it used to work without any issues.
After I was forced to replace my 2G sim with 4g sim, the device is not booting up. Booting animation is very very slow and the device will never come back.
If I remove the sim, the device boots up normally. Even it works perfectly fine if I put some other 2G sim.
I tried to change the baseband after removing the sim from the device. I chose south east asia 343_331. Still the device doesn't boot up if i put back the Airtel 4G SIM.
can anyone help me with the issue? thanks

Same thing happened here, have u found any solution, Airtel 4g sim even work with basic phones, but not in Defy. Since Airtel sim is 128k it has more memory than 64k sim, this is the problem and it is not the bug of Rom because slow boot happened in Stock Rom too.

Sorry I didn't see your response. I have not yet found any solution. I am not using this device as it is not supporting any new SIMs. Even I will be interested to know if any solution exists. Probably ROM developer should be able to provide solution. Hope to get some ROM developer's attention to get solution.

Thank you for the reply, however i bought new phone, defy is in cupboard, probably I use it as FM player, Music player in coming days
So I got my Airtel number ported to a Jio sim card. Put it on sim slot 1. I'm getting to use data services but cannot seem to activate volte/enhanced 4g mode to make calls at all. The option isn't even visible in the mobile networks menu.
I also checked my sim info and it says 'volte provisioned' but there's volte option in the settings.
Since I'm not able to activate volte, each time I try to call from the Jio sim, it fails.
Also, I'm running the stock debloated ROM from Sandy and I'm rooted.
I've used V1 of this ROM before and volte was working fine. I just wasn't rooted at the time. Can root be a problem? Please help guys.
