When my device P3600 received call or sms, the device is powered up, and then all the keys are active. If the device in case some key can be press (by mistake) and activate a program on this situation.
Does any one have a solution for that?
Use the Device Lock Feature in your Today Screen.
I do not like to add one more line to the dotay screen
can I use it without add it to the dotay screen?
If you don't want an additional line on the today screen then the other option is to set the device to request a password after only one minute of inactivity (under "Settings", "Personal", "Lock").

10x, but this is not help, the lock is form power up the the device, and the device is automitly powered up when received call or sms
I use a program called "device lock" that can be mapped to one of the buttons, I use button one when you hold for a few seconds. The app locks the phone and turns off the screen, so when you recieve a call or sms the screen will turn back on but the phone will still be locked.
Have a search on the forums here for it, that where i got it from.
Cheers

in this case you can not aswers a call, when received one - because when the device is lock there is no quick way to answer that call.
or I miss someting here.

Yes you can answer a call, the device lock only lets you use the power, answer, and hangup buttons. When the call is finished it is still locked, unless you unlock it.
I use this one. http://www.mr2-power.com/downloads/DeviceLock.CAB
10x, GREAT, this will do the job
it is work fine - 10x

I am glad you found a way to solve your problem but I don't understand why my suggestion should not work. If you set your device to request a pin after one minute of inactivity if you receive a message the keys will still be blocked until you enter your pin. (I am talking about device PIN not SIM PIN).
And if you receive a call the answer button works even without entering a PIN.

Your solution works too, the only thing is sometimes (for example) I'm sitting on the couch using my phone for email or surfing and watching a TV program. I stop to watch something interesting for 3 minutes and my phone has locked itself with the pin lock. I have to enter the code each time this happens. It can get annoying. If I use devicelock, I lock the keys when I need to, obviously when I'm at home and my phone is on the coffee table, it doesn't need to be locked. I set my device pin lock at 2 hours, that should give the phone enough time to lock itself if I loose it...hopefully.
yeah... but when you loose your phone the device lock doesn´t matter. only reinstall a Rom and your phone can be used.

Yes, very true, but at least they won't be able to see all my contacts, appointments, notes etc. That being said, I always use FlexWallet to encrypt all sensitive information which is synchronized to my laptop.
touch screen and buttons can be locked during a call?
I followed up this thread and found it very interesting. But it does't focus all the problem:
when call's come in, your solutions are ok.
But when I want to make a call, I found there is a nasty *****, clicking to call waiting or to head speaker on, opening a note or calling my voice box etc. etc.
Then I found that it was my ear or my fingers, clicking on the touch screen or my fingers clicking hardbuttons.
I think tat during a call on the normal speaker the only buttons to be active should be "hang on" and "loud speaker on". With loudspeaker or BT on, or call terminated,s screen and buttons should come back to full function.
Anybody knows a solution to this?
Regards, and keep on, its a great forum. i love it.

Hmm this is just "device lock" that we can see in HTCplugin. In my case it does not turn off the screen. It just locks my device. Is everyone has "turn off the sreen" functionality?

I lastly tried the on-off button to block screen during outgoing calls.
I never did this before because I thought it would cancel the active call, but it doesn't.
Ok, I see it's more or less doing what I want. But it's very unconfortable. When I hit it bad, or don't hit it at all, or forget to press it?
Isn't there a posibility to have the screnn sensibility off, only sensibility, until the call is either ended, passed to outer speaker, headset or BT? or perhaps simply until I give it free manually?
It would improve safe usage of that phone remarkably, I think.
If not :-( , well, I allways can press the button ;-)
curious for what solutions you'll find on your problems with incoming calls. Perhaps that will give me an Idea.
Chears
I've complained about this on just about every major forum I have found. Hopefully, someone will eventually write an app to allow personalized device locking. I would set my trinity to not wake for ANYTHING and have ONLY the power button active. I would prefer to get audible alerts (or vibrate) to incoming calls, alarms and messages. Pressing power would be the only way to turn the device on. PIN features only annoy me. This would be very useful anytime I am not willing to immediately respond to a notification - driving, having dinner, in a meeting, etc. It could significantly improve battery life. I store mine in my pocket and accidental button press is a problem as well.

You can use hd tweak or advanced configuration tool to set this up.
yes, but you can just activate or desactivate the option (phone option).
I activated it but the screen is not turning on when i end the conversation.
I have the same problem here. The screen goes off when receiving but I don´t get the screen on when I finish OR when I take the phone away from the ear.
I remember this problem before i install programs.
Is it the same for you ?
I don't think hard reset resolve this.
i ve this problem too. any help?
Same for me, and tweaking the HDTweak settings/AdvancedConfig settings didn't change anything.
Maybe because I tested in the evening on the street though...will report tomorrow when I get a call during daylight
UP
Pleeease !
I have big problems when i speak in the phone, almost everytime i hang up a few apps have started. Is there a way to deactivate the touchscreen or something when a call is active?
Simply press the power button to deactivate the screen.
Am I missing something?
I always had this till I realized you could turn the screen off during a call. I have a few programs installed, Inesoft being one of them. I believe it's that which auto turns my screen off when I accept an incoming call.

XperiaTweek has an option for this too afaik
please correct me if I am wrong, but i think the Xperia default setting is that the screen IS turned off during a call!
Xperia Tweak offered the option to switch this off and leave the screen on

Think you're right
Do you know the registry key behind this?
if someone can make a program to relate the light sensor with the screen off, coz when am using my BT headset i dont want my screen to be off and when i dont use it i want the screen to be off, so if has a light sensor we should utilize it saying "during a call when u see light dont go off coz it means he is using BT headset otherwise screen is off" or if we can know from BT activity, again a program saying if ur using phone then off is ur using BT Headset then dont off"
regards

Wouldn't it be easier to tell x1 not to screen off when using a Bluetooth headset? or when wired headset is plugged in? But you idea sounds cool too.
it would only the application that does that requires a restart switching between options which makes it a bit inconvenient

I mean X1 does it automatically with my idea. ??
Wouldn't it be easier to to write a program for X1 to know when there's a bluetooth/wired headset connection then mess with the light sensor?
But either would be cool....if possible.
My X1's screen is switched ON by default when I get a call. Its pretty annoying actually.
FURTHERMORE, I've got a password lock on it. So if I speak longer than 5 mins (thats the limit I put for the password), then when I end the call, it asks me for the unlock code before I can see the today screen again!!
Can someone tell me if there's a solution to this??
Thanks
Hi need help... i am using WM6.5 Onyx rel 5.2 and i need a way by which i can turn off the backlight when a call gets connected. Currently the phone vibrates when the call gets connected.
I also wrote a mortscript for turning the backlight off but i think we can implement it in some other way. pls guide...
there is an option in S2U2 that lets u do it, and u can deactivate all the other things so it wont interfere with ur normal usage (like locking itself, etc.)

Thanks crapula, i already scripted a mortscript to do this but i wanted some other way(inbuilt)... maybe like modifying the phone canvas so that it can turn off the screen like it is vibrating when the call gets connected... just in a similar way.
Hi,
I have a problem that my screen doesn't automatically turn off after a phone call. When my phone is locked and I receive a call it should automatically lock again after the call has finished, right? I think it worked like that in the beginning but I'm not completely sure. Can somebody tell me if it's supposed to work like that and if I can change it or fix it if it's a bug? Thanks
This app can help you.
