MIUI 7 Kernel Question? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to all developers & Users of Nexus 4 device
This is absolutely great that most of the developers working and trying to make a kernel(Super, Great) for Marshmallow. but has anyone figured it out any kernel for MIUI 7 as appears to be that there is no kernel available and no one has ever tried to make it either.
Except Hellscore Kernel which works on MIUI kitkat rom's(Older versions) but not on MIUI 7.
I have tried every single kernel(KK) available till date but nothing worked. Either you get a bootloop or in case it does boot you will have freeze's or reboots.
The only reason to look for a different kernel for MIUI is that:
The rom is great, the UI is brilliant and overall different to the other Rom's available(Marshmallow - AOSP or Cm - "Everyday different ROM with same features" ) on our nexus 4.
but battery life sucks.....
If any one can come with an answer then it will be great for everyone using this Rom and also may be for MIUI developers to use a different kernel for our beloved nexus 4.
Thanks for reading this.

A little bit of information for MIUI lovers. If you want Android Nougat Navigation Bar, please install "NougatNavigationBar" Exposed module.
Cheers.

Do you have a link/OP from where to download it?

Which link you are asking for? For the ROM, kernel or the exposed module.

hopefully someone on here can port it
Well get to work! You can port it as there are no more devs working on the D2

smh
Looks very interesting, i would love to give it a try. My current rom is miui 2.2.10 and its pretty much rock solid, everything works. I'm still hoping someone is working on cm10 for the d2. Can't wait to try JellyBeans.
If the hardware tweaks that got the camera and everything else working for CM9/MIUI V4, etc work on this then it should be doable to make it smooth but I don't know that there's enough interest for people to get at it. The last few issues with both previously mentioned Roms still need to be cleaned up.
Anyway, there are two or three tutorials on porting Roms to any device so as said above if you're liking what you see why not go for it yourself? =D
That actually looks so good. Especially for the outdated D2. Plus that Meui MX(?) Phone in the vid was nice. Loved the changing dot capacitive buttons. Very ingenious. I want it. I wish i knew how to port something like this, but saidly I dont.

[Q] Best Rom & Kernel for gaming

Hello guys
I want to say before continuing that I use a translator because my English is bad. I do my best to make me understand.
I recently purchased the Nexus 7 created by Asus and Google. I also Roote this one, and flash ROM XenonHD: android version 4.2.1. I did not know much about android, so that you advise me as ROM and kernel for gamming?
Thank you in advance
I would start by checking out Trinity kernel and M-kernel.

I suggest the M-Kernel too. I'm using it with the SmoothROM and I overclocked the CPU to 1.5GHz. I don't experience any lag and the battery is pretty good.

I use Franco.Kernel R38 with these settings in his app and stock 4.2.1
Get really good battery life with almost lag free gaming. Only game I play where I come across lag is need for speed most wanted.

thank you for your answers, I'll try all your suggestions and tell you how to satisfy me
After several hours of reflection and boot and reboot. I choose SmoothRom M-kernel v4.3. Whether NFS Most Wanted, Rayman Jungle Run 4 Modern Combat, Nova 3 and many others I have no lag or freeze.
thank you very much for your help

Just go into hybrid settings and go to apps and change the apps setting back to 320/360

Go into system and disable dual panel mode

I also don't have anything mentioning dual panel mode
I dont think this is possible on cm but i could be wrong
Use xposed framework
Here the thread for the framework apk
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
You need xposed app settings as module, but for now the site seems out.
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/forums/xposed_framework_mods/
N4 - Aospa +3 - Hellscore Kernel
Just switch to PA...?
The only way I know of to do it in CM would be to change your global DPI.

[Q] Nexus 4 Android 4.3 Superuser Built In?

I just flashed Android 4.3 Stock onto my Nexus 4 and before i was running CyanogenMod 10.1.2 I noticed that superuser was built into the settings app in many other custom roms like Cyanogenmod. I was wondering if there was a way to do this on stock android instead of installing SuperSU as an app?
The attachment is a picture of what i mean.

Hence, the reason for custom ROM existence, is doing wicked-cool stuff like this.
TL;DR, nope. Custom is your friend (and only friend) for things like this.

Where can i read more about implementing this into my own custom Rom i am familiar with making roms.
Would it be possible to just have this in by modifying stock ROM?

Yeah, if you know what your doing you can decompile the settings apk and add in a superuser option. As long as it doesn't involve framework changes

CM10.2 + custom-kernel

I'm running CM10.2 on my Nexus 4 and I tried to install the franco-kernel (downloaded .zip from the FKU) but after reboot my colors were inverted/messed up
Also tried Faux123 -> same problem
How can I fix that?
Did you flash the right kernel for cm (caf)?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I have had the same problem with CM. After some investigation I found that the CM team has some different format that will not work with most kernels. Below is what I found. I do not take credit for it.
Yes CM have moved toward CAF and away from AOSP. As such Franco Kernel etc will not work with nightly builds after 01102013. There is a workaround but I'm not sure how long it will last!
Copy liboverlay.so from /system/lib from a working nightly ie 01/10/2013 and replace the version in the non-working nightly. Then install your custom kernel.....take a nandroid first!!!
I installed hells-core kernel which has a CM-version

I tried to switch to cm and had this craps so gave up.Yes I used CAF kernel. It's buggy and ...well should not put them down. They do a lot of work that filters to other areas but it was one big head ache. The red was missing totally I used an official Rom with their kernel....
