Hello guys
I want to say before continuing that I use a translator because my English is bad. I do my best to make me understand.
I recently purchased the Nexus 7 created by Asus and Google. I also Roote this one, and flash ROM XenonHD: android version 4.2.1. I did not know much about android, so that you advise me as ROM and kernel for gamming?
Thank you in advance
I would start by checking out Trinity kernel and M-kernel.

I suggest the M-Kernel too. I'm using it with the SmoothROM and I overclocked the CPU to 1.5GHz. I don't experience any lag and the battery is pretty good.

I use Franco.Kernel R38 with these settings in his app and stock 4.2.1
Get really good battery life with almost lag free gaming. Only game I play where I come across lag is need for speed most wanted.

thank you for your answers, I'll try all your suggestions and tell you how to satisfy me
After several hours of reflection and boot and reboot. I choose SmoothRom M-kernel v4.3. Whether NFS Most Wanted, Rayman Jungle Run 4 Modern Combat, Nova 3 and many others I have no lag or freeze.
thank you very much for your help

Not if you just use it for tests if you use it that high all the time it could damage your phone

i used to use trinity 1544mhz on gingerbread all the time, that was my one of my favorite clockspeeds. my phone is still fine and kicking ass. i bet the battery is whats going to suffer the most
but there is always a chance of damage.

well, im on ics now. im using the latest cm9 kang with Trinity T132(at the moment) ics kernel. but i only use Trinity no matter what rom or which Trinity kernel. considering there isnt a Trinity kernel release without being tested on/approved by my phone first, i may be the ultimate Trinity kernel fanboy
I have the 8gb Nexus 7 and I am consistently scoring around 1,200-1,500 for I/O score in Quadrant. This isn't my first Nexus 7, and all of mine have had this issue. I've flashed kernels of all types but I don't think anything is working. Does anyone else have the same problem/a solution? I've seen people with I/O Quadrant scores nearly quadruple or even more of mine. I know benchmarks aren't everything, etc, but I am just concerned that I have a bad batch of devices.
Thanks!
I just did one and this was me on mine

I had very bad I/O when I was running other ROMs, but now on BAMF Paradigm 2.0 I'm getting really good I/O scores.

Follow the directions, I don't know if this works for all kernels or just Trinity Seven.

Ah, so thats why, they are cheating
What is the TKT app?
and
Why do they do that?
Thanks!
My I/O is only around 1000-1100 on multiple tests...clean boot, etc. Maybe I need to backup and reformat?

So I know the phone gets hot but I was watching a flash video on Firefox and the audio got garbled. I closed Firefox immediately and took this screenshot.

Everything else about my N4 is excellent. Well, except battery life. That aside, is this a hardware issue? I hate doing RMAs but I'd hate for my phone to die even more and can't be without a phone.

I'd crack an egg on the back and have breakfast.

How many hours do you get screen on?
You could try a kernel w/ undervolting available and see if that helps.
If your phone is rooted and have busy box installed then I'd recommend Bricked kernel. I used to have issue with heat too but after using bricked kernel I have never seen it goes up past 105. Its even rare to see it goes up to 100.
So this could be a kernel issue then? Hm. I'll think about it then. I wanted to keep the phone stock but maybe I'll try the kernel.

from my experience flash always makes the phone run hot. hell anything that uses the CPU at a high utilization for a long amount of time makes it hot, games like GTA Vice City for example

Did you change your dpi or put it into actual tablet mode? If so, you need either the modified play store apk or to change your dpi back to stock.

That app are compatible with my nexus 7, like the above comment said check your ppi setting.
Since the latest version of play store changes how it detect device model.

They're right, the same happened to me in paranoid android, just change the dpi settings

Hi to all developers & Users of Nexus 4 device
This is absolutely great that most of the developers working and trying to make a kernel(Super, Great) for Marshmallow. but has anyone figured it out any kernel for MIUI 7 as appears to be that there is no kernel available and no one has ever tried to make it either.
Except Hellscore Kernel which works on MIUI kitkat rom's(Older versions) but not on MIUI 7.
I have tried every single kernel(KK) available till date but nothing worked. Either you get a bootloop or in case it does boot you will have freeze's or reboots.
The only reason to look for a different kernel for MIUI is that:
The rom is great, the UI is brilliant and overall different to the other Rom's available(Marshmallow - AOSP or Cm - "Everyday different ROM with same features" ) on our nexus 4.
but battery life sucks.....
If any one can come with an answer then it will be great for everyone using this Rom and also may be for MIUI developers to use a different kernel for our beloved nexus 4.
Thanks for reading this.
A little bit of information for MIUI lovers. If you want Android Nougat Navigation Bar, please install "NougatNavigationBar" Exposed module.
Cheers.
Do you have a link/OP from where to download it?
Which link you are asking for? For the ROM, kernel or the exposed module.

That's the screenshot from the Miui 7 ROM kernel.
