So I know the phone gets hot but I was watching a flash video on Firefox and the audio got garbled. I closed Firefox immediately and took this screenshot.

Everything else about my N4 is excellent. Well, except battery life. That aside, is this a hardware issue? I hate doing RMAs but I'd hate for my phone to die even more and can't be without a phone.

I'd crack an egg on the back and have breakfast.

How many hours do you get screen on?
You could try a kernel w/ undervolting available and see if that helps.
If your phone is rooted and have busy box installed then I'd recommend Bricked kernel. I used to have issue with heat too but after using bricked kernel I have never seen it goes up past 105. Its even rare to see it goes up to 100.
So this could be a kernel issue then? Hm. I'll think about it then. I wanted to keep the phone stock but maybe I'll try the kernel.

from my experience flash always makes the phone run hot. hell anything that uses the CPU at a high utilization for a long amount of time makes it hot, games like GTA Vice City for example

I check battery usage now and again and since I moved to gb you have the handy dandy graph. However as seen in the attached graph there is very strange drop I can't explain maybe some might help shed some light?

I've seen this once, after turning the phone off and putting in a diff. Battery... Could also be something else.
Would have made more sense if it corresponded to hooking up to wifi. I get over 2 days on wifi on weekends at home.
You have data corruption that's not giving you an accurate read on the battery.

I would get drops in my graph when my phone randomly rebooted or when the modem crashes. Check your uptime when you see those dips, it will probably correspond with those dips. At least it did for me.
Thx for the responses guys. Yea I have noticed both 4g and wifi seem to get a lot better battery life than 3g which was not the case with froyo. I figured that is what samsprint are working on. It might have been a reboot but I can't get data corruption from a reboot when I'm on rfs right? All in all I chalk it up to an unfinished build but I thought I would ask around anyways.

I've had some ridiculous graphs. Open Gaps, 90% battery loss, you name it. It happens lol.

Turn off yur phone then back on again you'll see the exact same thing happen, and obviously since your on gingerbread, it was a reboot, which is common with the leaks.

Yes over 4000 but as you can see i overlocked my cpu too much. Will this value damage my phone?

Not if you just use it for tests if you use it that high all the time it could damage your phone

i used to use trinity 1544mhz on gingerbread all the time, that was my one of my favorite clockspeeds. my phone is still fine and kicking ass. i bet the battery is whats going to suffer the most
but there is always a chance of damage.

well, im on ics now. im using the latest cm9 kang with Trinity T132(at the moment) ics kernel. but i only use Trinity no matter what rom or which Trinity kernel. considering there isnt a Trinity kernel release without being tested on/approved by my phone first, i may be the ultimate Trinity kernel fanboy
Anyone manage to get onlive working on their stock nexus 7, mine seems to hang at the screen provided. Doesn't seem to ever move past this screen... works great on my Galaxy Nexus

Just now tried it, and was playing dark siders on it. Have you tried un installing and reinstalling? I'm sure you did, but just figured I'd ask just in case...

Bump, would love to get this working....
Works fine for me too - must be an issue with your device.

Onlive may not be around much longer. At least not in its current form.

They were bought out and put in a protective bankruptcy status that is similar to receivership. Their investors and the receiver/protector have huge vested interest in keeping onlive around. But settop boxes might go the way of the dodo.
Works for me

ok thanks guys, i will have to restart everything and try again, will post results when i get around to it:
OK
So after locking and unlocking the boot loader again, and restarting from scratch onlive is working great
Hello, I don't know if my battery is dying, but lately I've been experiencing terrible battery drops (70% to 50%, 40% to 20%) using CM10, that started since the 24.09 build. Then I flashed stock and installed the latest nightly build from Quarx, (10.01) thinking that it might fix that way, and I've read that you should be able to have a better battery performance but I didn't. Anyway, I went back to stock, thinking that CM10 might be the reason of those drops, but it happened again.

I would like to know if indeed my battery is damaged, or if I'm doing something wrong or I'm missing something at any installation step.
thanks in advance for the help.

Drops usually mean ur battery is bad, but maybe you should clear battery stats (in recovery) and see if that fixes anything, if not buy a new battery, that's what I did, hovever I even got the 1700 mAh one (original for defy+) and I love it
Buy only original batteries, cause others are usually awful....
Sent from my MB526 using xda app-developers app
I did the "clear battery stats" thing, and did not work at all, still the drops... Then I went for the buying option, and I bought a 1500mAh last week, and it works like a charm! no drops at all ! At least not that big, hehe, anyway, thanks for the tip!
I'm not sure how to describe it, but the last two weeks I've noticed a strange vertical narrow flicker on my Nexus 10. It happens randomly and with no particular app. Just a brief, sudden, very narrow flickering line from the top to the bottom of the screen. It's not continuous and does not seem to happen in the same part of the screen every time. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there's an explanation or fix. Would appreciate any help or insights.

i had some when swiping finger across keyboard on PUB AOKP 5/20 release but now running different rom and works fine.
Experienced that too on my Nexus 10, but after flashing Paranoid Android it was away.
But on my device it only appeared when I was playing a game or when I did something other that needed much power. I think it is a fault with the GPU overheating or something like that.
Yeah, it's really weird and random. I wonder if it's a problem with cm? I've also noticed that it only happens in portrait mode so far.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I get it on both stock and cm10.1, its like a flash of lightening its really bright.

Interesting. I'm curious to know how many people are experiencing this problem and if it's something I should be concerned about. And if the warranty will cover it.
