Does NFC work with your new battery?
Fake batteries usually don't have an NFC antenna, therefore NFC may not work of it is fake.

I don't know. Maybe 1 year.
If the battery is fake, as mentioned there will be no NFC antenna. The only way to be certain is to peel back the label and look for the antenna. A fake will also not last as long between charges and will fail a lot sooner. As mentioned, you may get a year if lucky.

plzzzz when i had moved to cm7 i didn't see the control of the Vibrator in the setings/sound : waiting ur solutoins #___#
As far as I observed, although I do not have, neither use one, all vibrators have the vontrol on that round battery cover, where you are putting the two AAA or AA batteries.
Typically it would be red knob to turn on and modify the vibration of the latex part...
I'm only wondering what this is common part of vibrator with SGS

I know that there was another fake battery thread before, but it spoke about a different kind... hence the new thread... anyways I decided to buy a new battery because my current one is going crazy I think.. anyways I found this 2050mAh BXT battery.. (could not find much of information on this BXT company or whatever) but anyways.. I am wondering if anyone bought this and knows if it's actually true or fake. Link is below:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2050mAh-HB4...763808?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item416369f9a0
Now my question is.. Should I buy an $4 no name battery, knowing that it's 1500 or should I risk spending $8, HOPING that this is not fake?
Thanks.

there is a person who has bought this battery and left a comment in seller's feedback page. u can ask if you have an eBay account.

Thanks! I looked at feedback before I posted this thread but couldn't find any.. ( I checked on August 23) and this guy left feedback on Aug 30. I sent him a message... now waiting for reply
He replied to my message. He said he will let me know but he hasn't received item yet :/ Dont know why he left positive feedback then!
I'm awaiting one, but don't have high hopes.

this isn't sudden death.
It's a faulty battery.
Take it out of the phone, is it swollen in the middle??

This is a known fault and Samsung have already said they would replace battery for free.
Give them a call and tell them.
I think the serial number on the bad batch of batteries starts with BD but it might not be limited to those.
Good luck

Thanks for your help
hey guys,
i have the wiredest problem.
i've phurched a new galaxy s5 and when i connect it to the charger, a charging icon appears but the battery % dosent go up, only down.
i've downloaded many battery analysing app and theey all seem to think that everything is fine, that the current flows and all, but the % dosent go up!
i switched a battery and a cable and its definitly a phone problem (i can charge the battery in another phone)
some suggested that i sould replace the charging port but it looks completly new and fine, and also cost quite a lot of money to replace.
is there any other soultion?
thanks!!
Sorry I encountered the same problem on my old s3. I finnaly solved the probleme by changing the micro hdmi port. Sorry I know you won't here this but i search everything. I replace myself it's not so hard. I do it because my s3 was in ending life.
It does sound like the charger port.....
The replacement parts aren't that expensive (under £10 off eBay).
Just make sure you get the right one....
Look at the pictures......

These parts are device variant specific......
It would probably be a good idea to match 'rev' versions too.....that was certainly the case with the S2....If the wrong rev version board was put in, it led to signal problems etc......

I know this is a little off topic... But seeing a post for the OP8Pro with a 2022 date on it is refreshing! Been searching for days for information on how to flash a ROM/TWRP and/or ROOT and most posts are from 2020. I was beginning to think the device/projects were abandoned!
While on the subject, if anyone has recently and successfully accomplished any of the things I mentioned, would you please share? I have over a 100 tabs open right now from all the bricking I've had to come out of over the last 5 days!
Thanks!
