plzzzz when i had moved to cm7 i didn't see the control of the Vibrator in the setings/sound : waiting ur solutoins #___#
As far as I observed, although I do not have, neither use one, all vibrators have the vontrol on that round battery cover, where you are putting the two AAA or AA batteries.
Typically it would be red knob to turn on and modify the vibration of the latex part...
I'm only wondering what this is common part of vibrator with SGS

A'ight, so i opened my good old' Prophet today.

However, it might also be the battery, i have two batteries, one is the one that came with the Prophet and one is a cheap battery i ordered from Dealextreme.
I do know that the cheap battery is dead, but the other one (I did some testing with it, it shows up at 1.4V at my multimeter) i'm not sure if it is dead.
The phone has been like this before:
It randomly worked, randomly turned off, it wouldn't work for like 10 days, then when i put the battery in again it worked.
It kept doing that until it died completely.
Any suggestions?
I can't understand on photo. A battery pin is broken? If the problem is broken pin, a watchseller or jeweler can fix it. They have the right equipment to work with small things

You think they will fix this?
I would try to get a new (third) cheap battery.
Or try to re-animate the cheap one (dangerous, forbidden, but works often for me: open battery casing, unsolder LiIon-Cell, reload with Lab power supply to around 3-3.8 V (never > 4.2V!!!!), resolder, put in Prophete, start charging....)
The pins look ok. 1.4V for LiIon is below the deadly shutdown value!

OK, maybe my answer is a bit late...

also the USB slot
and the back speaker (it has a different shade than the rest of the phone)
it's definitely the Tmobile SGS
guy on the left probably saying something in german along the lines - "this xxxking GPS, what a joke", it thought i was in ......"
hahah thats def Galaxy S baby!!!!
The camera lens frame seems a bit rectangular instead of the squarish format of the SGS.
But it might be some aspect ratio distortion on the photo. They might be using the mighty Samsung indeed... especially since no GPS is needed there so a unit without one would still completely satisfy.

"Guy on the left" is Franck Ribéry, one of the best fotball players alive. His German is not all that fluent (coming from France), but may be enough to talk about GPS.
So my power connector has a problem. I can't get it to reliably connect. Just a little jostling causes it to loose connection. If this happens while I sleep, the power drains completely and my alarm doesn't go off.
Any idea how to fix this?
I'm pretty sure the issue is not with my wires because I've tried several - and tried the wires on several devices and they work fine.

It's the piece of (excuse my French)..........sh*t USB port on the phone. Mine has come loose too. Just got my warranty replacement and it freezes and the colors are off (like the whites are actually a light yellow.....wasn't like that on my old phone)
very true, you can attempt to clean out the usb port on your phone in hopes this will fix your issue. otherwise get ready to spend $5-10 on ebay and pick up a new port, of course you will have to solder this in so yeah, its a fun job
Mine has been this way since the day I got it. I actually just bought some Samsung micro-USB cables off Amazon that have a solid fit inside the phone, wonderful cables! Can't beat the price of them either.

You know you are a Redneck if...
I know this is totally tacky on such a beautiful phone...
I have a note 1 and 3 extra Batteries... Now with my Note 2 I am only running with the single battery. I am leaving for Paris in a week and I wanted to take advantage of having a couple back ups, but don't have time to get them in from Hong Kong. So I decide to see if it was hard to custom fit the Note 1. Turned out pretty simple... Just took some rolled note paper to fill the gap and a tad bit of tape to secure the roll (no tape on the phone). Works perfect as a backup!

LOL:good:
nice idea i will do that with my GN2 i have 1 battry for GN1 , but how long the buckup battary work with u ?
OMGGG !! Nice idea !!
I added tape around the 3 non-contact sides. This makes it a breeze to get in and out.
The battery is 75% smaller, so I figure if I get 50-75% of the main battery life as a "back up" then I am golden for now Extra battery fits fine in my Wallet.

Hmm it's a nice solution but I would never dare to try it
Not ideal, but will work in a pinch.

I got bored this morning
Good going. But where did you relocate the vents and heater/AC controls? Or did you just remove them?
You should have posted this in the Accessories section.

Heater controls have been broken for years I live in a mild climate and the car is just for fun anyways not serious cross country road trips. I simply removed them and set it up for defrost with a switch for the blower relocated. I can revert to the stock setup in less than 15 minutes. Maybe I'll set up a replacement rig for climate controls in the stereo location and hide an amp in the dash somewhere for it.
Just recompiled for a500 trying to get gps working again - not really in a troubleshooting mood :S here's a shot of the new pie controls
I made up a nice bootanimation and background (you can kindof see it in that pic) based around my new guage faces that i'm working on
I still have a lot of work to do on the interior I've got the engine pulled and on a stand waiting on some cash for gaskets rings and bearings, while I was waiting I thought I'd get creative
