In pro mode use iso= 50 in better lighting conditions for the netural colors reproduction in image
Use 2 second after click shutter button to avoid noise in image
I really love the motion picture option, makes my photos lively. Now I tap on upper right corner on every picture to get it moving. Not available on my old note 5 though.

Not shutter speed to 2 sec. But he meant 2 sec delay timer (top row of buttons..settings-format-flash-timer-hdr...)

doesnt make any sense regarding noise reduction
"Use 2 second after click shutter button to avoid noise in image"
He meant blur (from shaking) and not noise.
Also getting an overexposed image when using slow shutter in good lightning conditions without NDF is perfectly normal.
+ Tap to focus on your main subject (if there is one) to ensure the camera exposes for it.
+ Make it interesting. For example, if something is tall, get under it and accentuate that fact.
+ Rule of thirds. http://digital-photography-school.com/rule-of-thirds/
+ Stop over-processing your photos in Snapseed, etc. Make whatever edit you think looks good then back it off 50%.

Greetings everyone,
I am running now the 026 Generic firmware and i noticed that my photo quality improved a lot from 020.
Also during night my photos are actually pretty nice.
Here are some photos with the 026.
If anyone can share opinions or facts .. thanks.

You just wanna show off your house don't you.
Lighting is very important though.
They really have to fix this. My k850i makes better shots than this. I hope they fixed the zoom and focus in the update. When I try to make a shot if a document, I can't read it. When it focuses the letters become readable for a second but when you shoot its vague.

Try using the Vignette app for this. In my experience, the problem is less about focus and more about compression: the built-in camera app compresses the images way too much and there's no way to change it. If you use Vignette you can set the images to superfine and things get ALOT better - I can capture small typeface at some distance and still find it legible.
Of course, I would prefer it if the SE camera app worked better itself to prevent users having to invest in a separate app...
Wow... +1 for the Vignette app....
Just done a little experiment...
(Its a picture of my screen, which i thought would show the quality difference more obviously)
I have cropped the same part of the screen in each.

Yep! When you click the images, it says "Vignette" at the bottom.
It's not a bad little app. The interface could really use some work, but, it does its job.
But it is SLOOOW, I have tried that app today and from shutter pressing to saved photo it takes like 5 seconds ! I have puted it on 8 mpix.

Doesn't take that long for me..if you include the time it takes to process the image(which it does in the background) then yeah, it is something like 5 seconds per image
Vignette is super slow here too, that's why I stopped using it. If I try and take a few pics in fairly quick succession it practically grinds to a halt for atleast 30 seconds. Also had a nasty habit of losing images for me.
The se camera does not do this, but, as already stated, it is lower quality. Really need both apps and use whichever is suitable for the task at hand, but this is not a very good compromise.

Why r my pictures always coming out grainy??
Is it me or is it just my phone ?
Every ROM I flash, the pictures r always GRAINY unless taken literally 2 inches away.

1) Check that your back cover glass (the one that covers the camera) is REALLY clean from both sides.
2) Accept the fact that in low light the phone won't shoot good pics.

The only time it will take good pictures is when the flash is right now the object, or if there is 100% sun on the object. As u can see on my example, there was fairly enough light but still came out Grainy.

folks, this has also been answered a few times:
these "lines" are optical interference between the scanning frequency of the CCD and the frequency of some artificial light sources! other cam apps have the ability to enable a suppression for that (according to your grid frequency), the stock cam app of the note however does not have this function (or it has a very poor automatic for that)!
only chance: change the light-source or try to optimize your position!
OR: use a cam app which has a satisfying suppression function!
IF you have that lines also with no artificial light-source and in all cam apps then please take my apologies and replace your device!
Ahh.. I have the same thing on my work.. Guess the fluorescent lamps on the office interfere with my camera or something..
Nothing to worry about..
Hi, the inside camera in my new S6 Edge+ from UAE (G928C) is misaligned Well it looks like it. I have attached a picture for your opinions. Is this a defect? So far after taking 3 or 4 pictures the quality is good as expected.

Mine is the same. Probably isnt supposed to be that way. Minor cosmetic issue. No,way effects functionality.

Yup. Same here.
Same here. Maybe its intentional? Either way my pics come out great so no worries....
we all have that. relax
The camera has hardware image stabilization in such the lens is supposed to be free moving. If you shake the phone you can hear it rattle. Start the camera app again and shake it, rattle is gone. This is due to a floating design that can move the lens to counter your movement so motion blur is reduced and is especially noticeable in lower light conditions when shutter speeds grow longer.

You are absolutely right. One can try shaking the camera in selfi posture and notice that camera hole alignment changes with phone positioning.
Hi guys, I noticed that all the screenshots taken with the "more" option (the one taken with the "+" button) doesn't load well when I tried to open it. Look:

My connection is good. What could it be?
Sended from my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Gold Platinum
You mention that your connection is good does that's mean your photo is now online?
Some photo uploading service will resize your photo maybe that why? Long screenshot is very high resolution and resizing it will destroy a lot of detail in photo.
Also try open photo in other gallery app if you haven't yet.

This problem is only when I tried to visualize an image in Tapatalk. If I download it or if I open the forum with the browser, I see the screenshots just fine.
