first of all i am sorry to start a thread with a problem
i looked the forum w/o similar problem to this (please correct me if im wrong)
i plead to you developers to help me ,im stuck, depressed, and angry from my cruise
here it is :
i have touch cruise that i bought 1 month ago ( ONE MONTH, DAMN!!)
FIRST IT WORKED fine for few days , then the bigbang:
when i have (H) OR (3G) IN RADIO : no calls at all, its like phone is off, everytime i try to call ,the call end and then bleebed twice (end call tone)
cannot receive call either?? ( yes, HSPDA OR 3G is enabeld,, and band settings are set to auto)
when i disable hspda or 3g ( or set band to (gsm only) ,it works fine with G, E, or standard gsm
but not 3G ( NOW FEELING MORE DEPRESSED).
i cannot connect to internet : even in G,E,OR standard gsm
it says : connected, ---> connecting---> opening ,,,,then it get STUCK in 1 kb or 2 kb for ever-----( shows 1st line or two in google page but no more) then an error message ( there seem to be aproblem with your connection,,BLAH,BLAH,BLAH).
- I TRIED AUTOCONFIGURATION AND MANUAL TOO, NO USE ( not a settings or configurations problem)
- note : i tried my chip on my nokia 6680 and it is working like a charm ( internit, 3g, everything) ( not a chip or service problem)
- my friends ( have o2 life and touch dual ) have exactly the same settings and connecting from exactly the same place and service with no problems
- tried to move from area to area (even city ??????<--- desperate huh?)
with no use.
- THEN: I GOT EVIL : flashed new rom (bebe .67) - thanks btw- and newest radio for touch( cant remember the name ( 61 something, but was the best reviwed one)---> guess what?--> no useeeee
tried murata radio --------> you know what. ( by the way the reception strenght is exellant, thats not the problem)
flashed mobiz room ----> suicidal feelings ( yes ,no use)
flaSHED udk ----> nothing, natta
still stuck
returned to original radio---> its like cruise is telling me : GIVE UP DUDE, WHAT ARE U ,NUTS? IM NOT DIONG IT ,OK.
-before that i did dozens of hardreset, softreset ( almost every day or two)
pleeeeeaaase guys u r my only hope ,before i crash my cruise ( i mean it)
- i am ready to pay ( or donate)if necessary ( just tell me how, paypal not supported in my place , just give me another way and ill do it ,
i got sick of this
my brother makes fun of me : pocket pc huh? with no 3g or internet CAVEMAN?

3G H network problem
I upgraded to radio 1.64.08.21 a month ago. Everything works fine for a month, till friday. Saturday my phone was off and I used gps for 40 min. Sunday start problems: I can use phone only in gsm band, in this way I can connect in edge or gprs and make calls, otherwise not call are allowed (two bips and the call is terminated) and no data connection! I have a dualsim adapeter, but with another sim card same problem! I try murata rom but no luck. Same issue! One more thing: saturday my battery was drained to zero, if it means something!
Nobody help us? Do We need to give our TC to htc assistence!?!?!

and yes, i dont want any help from those htc support , all they are good at is repeating your words like parrots
I suggest to put the original ROM and RADIO and after that the original SPL ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1962153&postcount=79 ) and go with it to warranty... if you changed so many roms it means it is not a software problem i think.
Did you took out the battery and put it back in?
downgrade..
downgrade your radio rom to Murata (1.58.21.23)..
don't forget to backup your data, because Murata Radio does hardreset after downgrade..
3G H network problem
I tried Murata and original 1.58.21.23 rom, no luck! I read something related to the sim holder: It could be the cause of our nightmares! In fact I have a dual sim switching two sim, both 3G. The first day I buy polaris it works well switching from first sim to second and viceversa. The second day it doesn't works anymore. I can switch sim only after a soft reset for one times and after first switch only second sim works. Thinking an incopatible dual sim holder I buy another one where the manufacturer say good for the cruise: same result!!!
Now, after the network problem the sim switch without problem!?!? I think is an hardware issue...
P.S. I have changed only radio, Rom is the original italian!

Exist and persist! I called htc customer care to send them my tc... I hope it comes back quicly a maybe a new one!

my htc same proplem but i find the proplem in the of ( sim card base ) i send my mobile to warranty then the eng. say me this a defect in factory . then after chang base sim card the 3G is good . but the new base sim card is a different old base

r u saying that u had the same problem, and when u send it back to waranty
they told u : its hardware problem ( in sim card base or something like that)
and they replaced ur device ?
and now its working perfectly ????

My tc now is sended back to assistence. Mine worked well more than 2 months without problem, then it died! Mystery of technology i guess.... I'll notice you when it's back!

The problem occurs (according to the many reports I see here and in other forums) also with other units (like the Kaiser/TyTN II).
I had the problem myself with a Kaiser and they final solution was a change of the mainboard (on which occasion I returned the unit for refund because the mainboards were out of stock and a delay of weeks was announced).
The symptoms you describe point exactly to this problem.

Hi! So did somebody solve the problem finaly? Who manage to get device back fexed and what was the exact problem? I got the same problem with my O2 - mostly same I can tell... Cause in my case just EDGE and GPRS does not work - and it conserns just one operator.... Other opererator's sim cards work properly.... Changing sim cards of my own operator one to another does'n help.
Can somebody confirm that changing simcard base will solve the problem?

Just want to add that problem with my O2 occured in several weeks of using and I didn't change any settings and flashing rom or radio befor - so I think this is hardware.....
I just sent my polaris to warranty ( cellecom)---> pronounced : silly - come!!
im waiting now
im calling daily , they even know my voice now
hope to get my polaris soon .

from other replies , i think the problem is more than just an sim base
it has something to do with mainboard ( very poor quality hardware )- i think some one said (belguim company)
your best choice is to use ur warranty ASAP. ---> dont forget to put back ur original rom and radio and lock device back

I finally gave up and sent mine back to htc
they said it was the main board. they said that they would send back to me 3 to 5 days after they receive it. it took over 2 weeks but when all said and done it works great now and they did say they had to replace the main board. i sent it in right after the murata was discovered. I really wish i could have tried it to see if it would have fixed the problem. but anyways I have a new board to break now hehehe
I Bought My Touch HD last month from QATAR, after two days I discovered that while making a call and after a while ( 2 to 5 minutes) the other party will start to complain that he cant hear my voice while I still can hear him clearly, and then after a while the sound will return to normal and he will be able to hear me clearly again !!!! this is repeated every 2 to 5 minutes during the call !!!!
I went to the dealer and exchanged the device with a new one, what surprised me is I encountered the same problem again after one week and I dont know what to do !!!!! I am currently visiting the family in the states and still have the same problem on T Mobile using a local SIM Card !!!

I bought mine from Qatar, now I updated to ROM 1.19 Black Pearl by Pinosha and still testing as the problem sometimes dissapear and then comes back after few days and lasts for a long time !!! but I have noticed that no body is interested in this problem !!! maybe we are the only people that have it !!!
when i got my new phone i got a new simcard that better supported the 3G functions than my 5year old one.
I had a couple of times people couldn't hear me..
I thought it was caused by the way I was holding the device. The Mic is on the bottom end the phone.. I sometimes put my finger on the mic.
Next time when it occurs again.. check you're not blocking the mic with you finger..

try setting the cellular network on GSM only on the phone, when the reception is bad and 3G doesnt work, i think you have these kind of problems when you are in a call...
just disable 3G

In most cases it is due to people closing the mic with their finger when talking..the mic hole is placed in a bad position...
Same problem for me but i think i have the reason why. I think the change to 3G or EDGE when in call is the problem. I have this problem everytime when i get a new mail. Is that possible? And how to fix it? :confused

Maybe this is the problem, but my device sometimes connect via Edge and I dont know why and when i disconnect it, it will connect again !!! I dont know how to stop the data connection and prevent the device from auto connection !! I want to disable all data connection and keep the MMS working only !!!

as i see, many pepole have the same problem here, as i have too, for some issue no service could be found on Magician or what ever name it has, my own one worked fine for 2 years then stopped receiving service from operator, not stolen, as gift from a friend than travel too much, i give it to him to test it abroad, and it worked fine on some operator and not at all on other carrier, i have now a smartphone but can't leave it with out understanding what happend,
i have tried the last rom from cotulla,
tried rom upgrade, radio upgrade ....
finally i' got an idea, the problem apearseas i remember after switching gprs on from operation, and some times when the gprs can't be detected the divice worked fine back, and by testing, changing band and other network related stuff i finaly got a message that says to turn off the connection data to use the gsm network back,
i don't find a proper way to do it,
if some body would try this perhepse that's the real cause for this damn "No Service" message
PS, with wwe o4 from cotulla, the green light indicator blink again but the phone don't pass calls

Hi guys,
I need your help repairing my S100.
I was trying to sell it to a friend who would buy it if it worked with the sim card found in his Vodafone HSDPA/3G modem.Then he inserted the card, found network, then after a few minutes it performed a soft reset.
Then it said(where the rom version is)"bad radio".
Then I performed hard reset, when it said "No radio", then booted up.
Then after a few minutes, it got frozen.
Then I did a soft reset and got a red message"bad radio" and it won't boot.
It only boots up after hard reset, then it can be used as a PDA for a few minutes.Then freezes, then it will not boot again until the next hard reset.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem and accidentally fixed it.
Perhaps I was just lucky, but why not try switching to different SIM card, cleaning it, put it on different mobile phone, and put it back on magician.

what happened here is: I did a master hard reset on my phone samsung giorgio armani B7620.
Now I can use internet through wifi on the phone. all the apps and other stuff works except there is no network signal.
I bought this phone unlocked. It's a GSM quadband phone.

I've been struggling with this no network signal for a week now.
I have AT&T. I was thinking maybe something is wrong with the antena of the phone. so I put my friend's T-mobile sim into my phone. It had signal and worked fine. Then I put my AT& T sim into his unlocked Nokia N97. It worked fine. so the antena is still good. and there is nothing wrong with the sim.
I remember I left my sim in the phone when I did the hard reset.
What happened here is: I had a password lock on the phone to prevent others to use it. Last wednesday I entered the same password as I always did, but the phone did not open up. Therefore I had to do a hard Reset.
so I think most likely, the phone set a sim lock by itself on AT&T simcards while I was doing the hard reset on it. Now when I put my mom's simcard (also AT&T) in the phone, and it doesn't show any signal. No signal, no call, no receiption.
I am trying to flash it with a different radio version. but I don't know how to put the phone (Samsung Giorgio Armani B7620) into the Boot Loader mode.
Please help? , someone help me with this problem.

Same issue here whit my B7610. It's a know problem around the world. I'm afraid that your phone have a serious hardware problem and the only solution is to go to a lab.
My lab report "replaceing soldering elements", i think that all my radio module have been replaced.
So sorry for that. Hope that your warranty is still on.

The phone will automatically go into boot loader mode when you switch the phone off, connect it to your pc and octans detects the phone

This is my first post in this website. Kindly apologize if I have posted it to the wrong audience. But I could not find a separate forum space for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830.
My issue is:
I purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on 14-Apr-2011.
I am facing the issue related to the connection to my phone network. After I switch on the phone, I get my mobile network signal for about 30 minutes and after that the "No Service" icon is enabled and there is no signal at all in my phone.
I checked the SIM card on a difference phone and there is abosolutely no issue in getting the network signal.
I tried a different service provider SIM on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and I find there is no issue either.
The problem seems to occur only with my SIM card on this phone. I changed to a new SIM and apparently that also did not solve the issue.
I am also unable to find the "Network Mode" option under the network settings, which I would normally find in other phones.
I tried with the option "Use only 2G network" but that also did not help. I am not using any 3G service at the moment.
I am now stuck in this situation and not able to use my new phone.
I am from Chennai, India and use Vodafine India post paid service.
Hence seeking your kind advice to help me resolve this issue at the earlier.

Since you just bought the phone few days ago its best to take it back to the place where you brought it from and let them check.
You donot have to worry as you might be covered under warranty.
I would also suggest posting this Q in the question and answer section to gwt more help. This is a SGS II section.

Rather than figuring out whether if its the ROM or doing Resets, it would be best to get it replaced from the dealer.

I think then its a bad sim card. Just taking a guess since u replaced the phone.
Or there might be some setting for it.
I think you might not be getting good signal or no signal so the phone gets reboot everytime.
Again just taking a guess.
Would suggest to take it to.dealer n show the problem.

Well...I tried the SIM card on other phones and it worked fine. Waiting from Samsung to get some info on this now.
