So I'm creating this thread to track availability/delivery of the 32 GB version of the Asus Transformer. I pre-ordered the 32 GB version from Amazon 3 am CST on the 26th, and my order indicates the following.
"Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date. You can cancel at any time."
I haven't heard of any 32 GB availability as of yet and thought it'd be good to see when people actually start getting their hands on these units. I've seen on sites like CDW an estimated availability of May 14th?
Please add any info, links or dates you've seen as to when the 32 GB Transformers might start shipping.
Same deal for me. I'm giving them two more weeks to ship, which I think is beyond a reasonable expectation for a model they say launched. If it doesn't come in by then I'll cancel and just wait for the newer tablets coming out in June/July.
I am in the same boat. Ordered from Amazon at 3AM EST. Keeping my fingers crossed that these exist and just didn't go out with the first batch. If I can just get it within a week or two I will be happy, three to four weeks I will be slightly disappointed at the wait, and anything longer I will probably move on to Samsung.
Yea I'm given it till May 13th or thereabouts to get it out. Hoping its just a matter of Asus actually delivering them to amazon/other retailers, similar to the dock at the current moment.
I'd maybe cancel and go to the tab if it has a price somewhere in the same ball park as the transformer. Any other tablets out there that will be coming out in June/July that would compare - samsungs is only one i know of at the moment unless there is some google/nexus tablet annouced at Google I/O.
Samsung, Google and Amazon are the ones I hear about. Of course only the Samsung is solid. Dell I suppose but they seem to be way behind the curve so far. Sony will probably be very late to market and overpriced, nothing new there!
Not many replies, could we be seeing a substantially lower demand for the 32gb?
Does this bode well for us? I mean if demand is low and Asus knows it they may focus on the 16gb and leave us hanging. Alternatively they may push out a bunch of 32gb in the knowledge they'll still move and do so at a more profitable point.
I pre ordered from BnH, but no idea shipping date. I have the Acer, but will most likely be trading that back in before the two weeks at BB. Honeycomb, at least on the Acer, has been a buggy experience. Would love the Acer if it had a 32GB model, but who knows how long until they even arrive from Asus, so who knows.
Also, don't buy a Samsung product like the tab, Samsung mobile products are over priced garbage the last few years. Just ask any honest Sprint salesman. Samsung's Q/A sucks and they have poor quality products'

me too. pre-ordered at TG initially and then Amazon (initially with Target and then subsequently via amazon directly). Have cancelled the Target-using-Amazon and TG. Hopefully this will arrive soon. Else am moving on. It might either be the Toshiba or Samsung.

That's my plan too. I pre-ordered the 32gb from J&R at 1:00pm on the 26th.
I sat and watched people buy the 16gb from newegg. I think I could have got one, but I wanted the 32gb. We'll see what happens.
I might call J&R tomorrow to see if they know anything (but I doubt they do.) From what I've read they seem to be the most honest of the stores selling this thing.
I will report back if I hear anything.

Hello all. Just checking in. I've got a preorder in with Target through Amazon as well. I'll be watching this thread and I'll post something if I hear anything through the grapevine (or the accounts page). I'm thinking maybe a simultaneous "launch" for the 32 Gb and the dock around 5/14? Thoughts?

Wow. Thats awful, I wonder if the 16gb i ordered to replace my xoom will be quicker.
I think Amazon is giving everybody a date in June for anything to do with the Transformer so that they can surprise customers instead of letting them down if something further delays the items. I am personally keeping my fingers crossed for a dual release of the 32GB and the keyboard within the next two weeks.

Sure hope this isn't true. I kinda doubt a Amazon CSR would have inside knowledge as to when they are getting them from Asus. I too passed on ordering the 16 GB elsewhere, and kinda kicking myself now. But with a 32 micro SD sitting on my desk I'll hopefully have a 64 GB tablet in matter of a few weeks!
Saw that the walmart page went live indicating in stock (now out of stock) - thinking it was an error but interested to see if people get tracking #s.

Amazon definitely suprises far more often than disappoints.
I would auto refresh the Walmart.com order page.
It came up twice for me. The first time I was in the process of ordering and it popped up that the item was out of stock during the order process. The second time it popped up the page refreshed when I saw it and it was out of stock.
I think they are populating as they arrive and are being sold. But, it could be a glitch in their system.
Someone else on the other thread was able to successfully place an order.
I just snatched a 16GB one from Fry's. Seems Fry's are getting some 16GB ones at store locations in dribbles now. Gotta check for in store pickup. Might check for 32GB versions there as well periodically.
I'm picking up mine in a couple of hours...Futureshop and Best Buy has limited quantities..most stores are out of stock already....only two futureshop locations has it...excited!
Have they set up demo devices in store?

Lol I tried picking mine up at FS and they couldn't sell it to me despite me having it reserved. Street date is Nov 8th or some BS apparently. The guy had the box in his hand right in front of me. Not sure what Samsung is trying to achieve here by delaying launch by another week. Ugh.

Just a tip to those who live near the border. Amazon USA is selling the white 16gb for $549 plus a free $50 Amazon gift card. Its a pretty good deal and I was able to take advatange of it. Also, you get perks worth $600 upon registering the tablet. I dont think the Canadian model offers the same perks.

Same happened to me..they called me ro pick it up but when I'm paying it they can't do it....I was so pissed I emailed the cust support and they replied and asking for more info....when I got back to work I ordered online at BB...got confirmation email but no tracking number yet...its so stupid calling me to pick it up when its not ready yet..here's hoping BB will send it out in th e next couple of days...
**update...just got my tracking number...yes!

I ordered it this morning after coming back from futureshop empty handed ...I might get it monday...they are shipping through Canada Post...lol I'm at the plant right now working part time and I know i won't receive it tomorrow....

No demo in the store I went to...they have two boxes in the shelve but no signage...oh well at least BB shipping it earlier..
Asked an employee to check the inventory system and apparently at best buy the launch date is November 1

Lol...my BB order is arriving tuesday....I called FS today and told them BB street date is today...he checked it...put me on hold and then told me that they've changed it so I can pick up mine today...he remembered me and my tab is still on hold....now I got two coming my way will return one...
Lol that's pretty funny. Anyway I managed to go pick up my FS order today because the release date magically got pushed up to Nov 1st. Thanks Apple? What ****ty logistics on Samsung's part.

I just bought the last one in calgary today bro!!!
didn't realize it was released until last night at about midnight, woke up this morning and called everywhere. the best buy stores ALL had their stock mis-shipped, so NONE of them got it in. as for futureshop, the only one that had any left was the deerfoot meadows store, which thankfully is only about a ten minute drive from my house. called, got the guy to put it away for me, and tore down there as fast as i could, went in and bought it immediately (after having them run around looking for it because the sales guy didn't put it on hold properly, he just hid it inside the lockup where their normal stock is...so i could have even had it sold out from under me if i wasn't lucky).
i ended up buying the total protection plan coverage because it covers up to two free replacements if i break it, so i figure worst case, it breaks, great i just saved 300 bucks on the second tablet (since the plan cost me 300 instead of its usual 360) and then if i break it again, perhaps days before the end of the warranty and when they only have the next generation note available, then i guess i get it replaced with the new one
also the warranty is over the counter for breakage, they don't make you wait and wait and wait.... you simply bring it in, they see it's broken, and they go get you a new one. if it's just needing repair, like for the battery, which is covered for two years also, then you actually get a loaner note while yours is being fixed...pretty damn cool!!!!
anyways, i just installed the latest australia firmware onto it, since that is the newest of any available, and i just rooted it....starting to really enjoy it now. now i just hope someone comes out with at least a rom or two for it, or i might have to try my hand at making one, although i've never made one how hard can it be? lol...
Ok so has anyone ordered one off Amazon? Specifically the NGP US STORE? They all seem to have great reviews but I don't really put much weight on Amazon reviews. I'd like to know if NGP is a safe bet. A company that I had pre-ordered from kept pushing the release date back from the 3rd, to the 17th, and now to the 24th. NGP claims they have them in stock (and at one point even a specific amount) with no delays. I'm hoping I haven't made a mistake by cancelling my previous order to pick one up from NGP instead (which was also about $50 cheaper).
There was also another vendor from IL whom I called and they claimed that they did have some in stock and will be getting more on Monday and that they've only been getting between 10 and 20 units per shipment.
I'm looking at the some phone on Amazon right now. Kinda looks sketchy to me, I'm looking for a unlocked Note 4 to take abroad and don't want to buy one from a carrier =/

They aren't without some drawbacks though... they're a reseller so there is no warranty and they perform an on/off test on all their mobile phone sales to try and reduce the number of returns. The retail packaging I received was opened by them and the phone had already been through its initial setup procedure. I only had to perform a factory reset and all was good but other than that everything else was mint. Absolutely nothing to indicate any foul play.
That's probably more than enough to turn most people away but I'm fine with it.

Was it an Exynos or Snapdragon? Im not sure wich one they have.
NGP sells the SM-N910U from Hong Kong... Exynos

I'm in the exact situation as yours except I ordered a Gold Galaxy Note 4 N910u. I've ordered mine on the 6th.
I'm still waiting for it and I paid express shipping.
NGP told me that it would probably be shipped out on Friday (today). Here we are it's Friday and still no word from them
when they're going to ship out my expensive toy I hope I'm not getting ripped off from them.

How can you announce your best phone ever (for both companies) and be so woefully prepared for the demand it might incur? This is my favorite so far. No issues thus far.
Best handling it this way rather than having people refresh the page every second because product went out of stock within 2 minutes of release.(previous nexus releases)

Ordering process yes. However... Shipping order is jacked up AGAIN. Ordered 9/29 within 15 min of link going live. 32GB Graphite. There are people with tracking information that purchased 10/21 and have shipping confimation while mine sits in processing purgatory. Card was final charged 3 days ago. Still hasn't gone anywhere. This happens to me every year.
Almost as bad as a Best Buy launch ....
I don't mind this release style at all. I really don't see what OP concern is. Google has turned a 'quickest to order before servers crash' to 'just order and be patient, we won't charge you'

Disappointment? That would imply I had expectations which conflict with what was promised. I have no such expectations.
In the announcement event, they simply said "later in October" concerning ship dates. During the preorder process, everything was clearly spelled out. How could I be disappointed? My only expectation is that the products I ordered will arrive safely by the time they indicated.
I'm pleased with the order process this time around. As for delays well that is common on pre orders these days. I'm just happy that I got to order, much better than trying to catch a one or two minute in stock window like in the past.
Disappointed, nah. one of the biggest tech company in world can't handle preorder. How the hell do you sell out preorder? Just take the damn order and give a 4-5 weeks eta. Don't tell me you can't get huawei to make your phones in 5 weeks.
I'm rather disappointed that Germany was not a part of the countries that could preorder it first. I simply don't get it...
It's a pain yes. But it happens this way every year. I'm just surprised they haven't fixed it much over the years. I'm waiting on a Frost 64GB - No one has gotten a Frost yet, so we'll see if the ship date is hit, Nov 2.

Like previous people have mentioned. Most (if not all) of the Nexus launches were pretty terrible.
I wasn't expecting much so no .. not disappointed.
I ordered, was given an estimated ship date and it has shipped early. I call that a success.

You do realise that these were pre-orders, right? This is exactly how the concept of a pre-order works.
Dissapointed, yes. The roll out in the US might be not that bad. But there are other countries besides US. In Europe we are still waiting to preorder. Such a slow rollout. Google needs to learn from Apple and bring their **** together and roll out the devices from day one.
I ordered a s7 edge through verizon but I have an issue with the delivery date. They are saying they should hit the stores March 11, but I will be in Texas for my Sister in laws wedding from March 9th until the 12th. So the issue is should I keep my delivery for my home in Colorado or have it sent to Texas.
Do the preorders usually go out early? I would think it would only be fair if people who pre-ordered to get it before people can get it at the stores.
Well for T-Mobile USA they sent the S6 a week early for some users. Verizon tends to be on the dot maybe a day early in most cases.
Anyone know how BestBuy handles pre-orders for online shipping?
IIRC, I pre-ordered the s6 edge last year from Verizon (online) and it came 1 day before the release date.
Follow my preorder thread in the discussion threads, I'll update it as soon as any news about early devices being shipped pops. Verified news, not he/she says.
Last year tmo sent devices a week early so I'd imagine the same again regardless.

Since it is going to other countries and carriers first I should hope there will be some left if I get mine a day late or something. One of the main reasons I ordered it was for the VR gear and I would be super ticked if they ran out!

I think you receive a VR gear based off of what number you are in the pre order list, not whenever you happened to get your phone. If you get yours late, you might miss your shot. But the way they are advertising it makes it seem like nearly everyone will get one. I hope that is the case.

I'm sure there will be a lot of cancellations if this is the case.
My AT&T preorder says shipping on the 7th to arrive on the 8th. Many sites are reporting preorders will be out 3 days early from the official launch on the 11th.
I just talked to 2 verizon reps and the first one said the phone should arrive on the 11th, and the other checked with her manager and said it would ship out on the eleventh and not arrive until the 14th. To me it makes no sense that the people who preordered will get there phone 2 days after the phone comes out in the store.
I am not throwing any fits because it is unfair, but this is a issue for me because I don't know where to have the phone shipped. And like my earlier post said, it seems that they are only giving out around 300,000 VR Gears, so if I am a couple days late getting it, I may lose my chance at getting the VR gear. ?

That's incorrect. You can input your invoice that you purchased a device starting March 3rd on Samsungs website, I forgot where I found this information but if I remember I'll link it

I pre-ordered from Best Buy so they will ship the VR with the phone. Also getting a free 64gb SD card.
My S6 edge was delivered on March 30th (T-Mobile), and (I think) the release date was somewhere around April 10th. So, don't be too surprised if you get a shipped confirmation email in the next week or so.
Also plan on getting mine through BestBuy. Seems like less of a hassle than waiting "4-6" weeks for the GearVR to come in.
That does sound nice, but I didn't really want to fork out 300 and be stuck in a contract. I might contact samsung and verizon and try to get some assurance that there will be enough to go around. Otherwise, I might cancel and hold out to see what the V10 sequel has in store.

That link actually proves that you need the IMEI and WiFi address.
First, they mention in the text on that page that you need to fill out the form and submit a receipt. That doesn't say what info is required for the form so it does not suffice as a counter-example, nor any evidence that the receipt is the only information you need.
Secondly, that page provides a link to the actual terms and clicking through you can see that the section on submitting the claim explicitly lists the IMEI number (3.b.iii) and the WiFi MAC address (3.b.iv) in addition to the receipt.
So, IMEI and WiFI MAC are certainly required to claim the Gear VR...
