I am having signal issues with the n9100 (china mobile). Currently I am in Canada on Rogers network. I have rooted the phone and currently using a custom Rom (Aurora). The firmware is on 5.1.1 and baseband is on the latest. I do get 4G signal but it gets weak when I am inside my house and usually is in Edge mode. The signal was decent when I was in China. I am sure its a modem issue, but is it possible to install a rogers modem onto this without bricking (probably lose dual sim but thats ok)? If not, is there a fix? Can I force my phone to use a certain frequency/band that Rogers uses and see if that helps?
Hi,
I had bought a Canadian s4 on ebay with version 4.4.2, I had root it for unlock the Italian language, and worked fine for two years but without ever receiving the H + and H bands, he was always on LTE or 4G...
A month ago I decided to do an upgrade it and factory reset because te phone had become very slow, so after total wipe I downloaded the stock Lollipop I337MUMUGOH3 Trinidad & Tobago (because unlocked and more native language) and flash it with Odin, but after the softkeys have not worked ... I tried some other stock rom without succes, with I337MUMUFNE2_I337MUUBFNE2_TTT 4.4.2 the touch is coming back to work even if typing * # 2663 # the phone shows fw version is 0x10 and the part's fw version is 0x1a and can't get touch fw update (IC's F/W is higher than Bin's F/W), but I lost LTE bands, now working bands are always H and H+ and never LTE or 4G ....
I tried to install different modems taken from other stock rom, but without success ...and QPST show me all bands enabled...
Maybe i must change the baseband ??? Witch baseband? And how can i do it??
How can I get back the lte without losing softkey? And how can update the softkey fw?
I do not know what else to try :crying::crying::crying:
Thanks in advance..
I recommend not trying to flash the AT&T s4 sgh-i337 firmware to the Canadian s4 sgh-i337m. If you are able to flash the stock AT&T firmware onto the Canadian s4, you will have a locked bootloader.
Did you change your cell provider? Does the sim card get LTE in another phone?
You can flash the stock Canadian LP ROM from sammobile.com to see if the buttons work properly.
I recommend not upgrading the touch firmware at all as there is a chance it will disable all touch functions.
But my model phone is SGH-I337M!!

The sgh-i337m does not have a locked bootloader. The AT&T s4 has a locked bootloader so flashing at&t firmware to your Canadian s4 could result in a locked bootloader or a bricked phone.
There are no stock ROMs for the at&t s4 above 4.1.2 from sammobile.com like there is with the Canadian version.
It's up to you If you want to flash AT&T firmware to the Canadian s4.

I'm confused, I need some advice how to restore lte bands on my phone without broke the softkey, I did not say want to flash the ATT firmware....
Some ideas?
I apologize for referencing the AT&T firmware. I misread your original post.
Have you tried flashing firmware for a Canada. It doesn't matter whether your flash firmware for Rogers, Telus, or Bell as long as it is at least version OH3.

But the Canadian firmware not work properly in Italy, I used it for 2 years without H bands, the TTT firmware is for the same phone but is open, maybe I must change the csc?
I suggested flashing the Canadian firmware to see if the firmware fixes the problem with soft keys. Once that is fixed, you can try other fixes to get lte.
You can flash the stock Canadian lollipop ROM and change the csc by dialing *#272*imei#.
Hey guys, I have a verizon galaxy s7 edge and a verizon galaxy s7. Both are on QF3 U-firmware. I am using the phones on Metropcs but the signal is weak. I'm heard that if i flash tmobile modem on the phones. I will have better signal. Is that right?
Where can I download the modem and how to flash them?
Can I use modem for S7E on S7?
After flashing the modem, will the phone receive OTA update?
Thank You!
Well I am on Tmobile and also using the 930U firmware. When I flashed the Tmobile modem I noticed I had way more bars, however, I went into settings > about > I think sim status and the actual signal # is the same. Dbm or whatever.. So i really think in my case the Tmobile modem was just a graphic chagne, and not really a better signal.
Anyways while running the 930u firmware and Tmobile modem I would not receive OTA updates - I had to flash them manually.
The way to get the modem you will have to download the latest tmobile firmware for your phone (SM-G935T - 935 since you have the edge). Then unzip the package and you want to flash the CP with odin.
If you flash the T-Mobile modem you will actually get carrier aggregation enabled, something I don't notice under the U firmware. Oh and might also have priority on T-Mobile bands .

Hi all. I was playing with the different Firmware on my SM-G955U and SM-G950U and found out how to change the boot animation, The SIM CARD IS THE KEY OF CHANGING THE BOOT. I have T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint SIM cards. I have 2 S8+ from Sprint, unlock them on ONLINEUNLOCKS.COM. After unlocking the phones, I installed the G955U1 and G950U1 firmware so that the phones will work better on T-Mobile Network. So I decided I try the (USERDATA), I flash the T-Mobile USERSATA TO MY SPRINT S8+ with T-Mobile SIM card and running on the G955U1 firmware. The phone boot animation was T-Mobile, so I flash back to Stock G955U1 using the modified Odin. Next I switch the T-Mobile SIM card and put AT&T SIM card and flash AT&T USERDATA with Stock Odin. AT&T BOOT ANIMATION came up, next I switch the SIM card to Sprint and do the same process and Sprint BOOT ANIMATION came up.
(1 To flash user data Used stock Odin
(2 put file in AP
(3 to go back to the original firmware for the phone, used the SIM card the phone came with.
(4 Used Prince Comsey Odin with G955U1 firmware
(5 used stock firmware with Stock Odin for US carrier phones, if not it wouldn't go back to the original state.
Happy flashing
Just remember T-Mobile USERDATA, T-Mobile SIM, Verizon USERDATA, Verizon SIM and so forth.
Make sure before you flash any USERDATA, BE ON STOCK G955U1 or G950U1 firmware because its the Base for Flashing USERDATA. I did it 3 times so I know it works 100%
Hey all. Today I did a LTE+ speed test on my Sprint G955U unlock using T-Mobile SIM card, installed with G955U1 Rom and AT&T G955U Baseband. I GOT 231 MBPS DOWNLOAD SPEEDS, 49 UPLOAD SPEED ON T-MOBILE LTE PLUS Network. I couldn't believe what I saw so I did a second Test and the with to 231 mbps. Sweeeet! Screenshot_20170726-092538.png

Just did one too and I got 123mb down and 27mb up not ss impressive as yours but coming from where this same spot used to give me 1-2mb down is a huge improvement maybe something to do with the network updates tmobile has been talking about all year?
That specific area normally like 30 - 35 mbps download speed, when I saw the speed had to look twice. Couldn't believe that was T-Mobile LTE+ speeds, I tweak all my S8 and S8+ for that speed ratio. Speed speed speed

Can I ask, why are you using the AT&T baseband instead of the TMO baseband, if you have a TMO sim?
I'm on U1 right now, about to switch from an AT&T mvno to a TMO mvno, so was going to flash the TMO baseband over U1, with the assumption that this would help with signal strength.

Hey there. I have all for 4 service now, Verizon S8+ works better with its own baseband. My unlock Sprint S8+ running the U1 new AQG2 BL, AP and CSC. Today I had it running all 4 files, BL, AP, CP and CSC. The problem I had was the phone couldn't get Verizon VoLTE, which I already know. So when I got home from work I had to flash back U1 BL, AP, CSC an Verizon CP, full wipe and the phone was working great. T-Mobile S8+ is the only one that runs 90% except for Video calls. The Sprint S8+ with U1 firmware and Sprint service, it works too but Sprint don't have any VoLTE. I got very good download speeds on T-Mobile and Verizon. AT&T so so but way better than Sprint.

Hmm, this didn't work for me...I put my T-mobile sim in, and flashed the Userdata file in AP. Is that correct?
Hmmm didn’t work for you, when you flashing back to stock T-MOBILE, you must first flash U1 latest AQH3 BL,AP,CP,CSC with latest modified Odin v3.12.5 Prince comsey. Next step for stock T-MOBILE AQHD BL, AP,CP,CSC,UMS. Must add USER-DATA in UMS for tmobile or any of the 4 main Carriers, Used Stock Odin V3.12.7. Once you do it right, shouldn't be any problems. Happy flashing ?
