hi there I'm new here and I've got a question I would like to ask..
There is an app on playstore and some websites called psiphon, now from my own understanding I know it is some sort of VPN apk but what really interests me is that it enables me to have unlimited internet on my network carrier even if I've got no data or credits at all. so I was wondering if any of senior guys could help look into it and explain just how this wonderful apk works..
cheers!!rl
Well i havent heard about using internet through a vpn.I have used psiphon before but never came to this situation. Are you sure your internet is working?

Hi, does anyone knows an application like Proxifier but for PPC?
If don't know what proxifier is:
http://www.proxifier.com/
"Proxifier is a program that allows network applications that do not support working through proxy servers to operate through an HTTPS or SOCKS proxy or a chain of proxy servers."
An application like this for PPC would be great as we could use cheap unlimited traffic data connections (WAP) but behind a proxy with limited ports to work with any application...
I couldn't find something like this, any advice?
This is exactly what I have been searching for. Let's keep this thread alive.
Thanks for showing me proxifier. I only knew about Sockscap and Proxycap. If only someone would make a mobile version.

ProxyCap now supports WM. It works great, I've tried it. But it's a 30-day trial, and costs $30 to keep.
found a working cab
Hey guys I found a working cab of proxycap.... anyone still looking for it please pm me and I will gladly send it to you...
oh and btw it is preregistered...
Also post a how-to -.- i have been busting my head on how this works for ages...
hey guys i couldnt find the response anywhere, but i was wondering if you are able to use tmobile's tzones with the xperia. this will help me decide if i should get the phone or not because 20 dollar data plan is rapage for me =/
thanks ind advance
There is a way, but its not listed here. Go to hofo and search around for it. But to answer your question, technically/offically, no you cannot use the 5.99 plan on the phone.
i'm using the Tzones plan with my X1. There is limits though, they block a few sites. You aren't able to use the Facebook panel through edge but you can use it through wifi. I also can't access gmail through the x1 program but you can get it through the internet.
mine's working with no problems. pm me if you'd like to know how to set everything up properly. it has to be done manually
thanks for the feedback guys. im thinking about purchasing it tomorrow for 500 =)
i am currently using the htc tilt i love that phone but i just want something new. how are the speed of the itnernet with tzones? also when you say its restricted, if i use a hacked/cooked rom, would that unrestrict some sites? because with my tilt, using the stock rom, i was not able to go on youtube, etc. however, i switched roms to a hacked rom and i was able to browse through youtube with the built in widglets. im not sure if the x1 has the same type of itnerface. thanks again guys.
yeah i use the 5.99 plan for everything. even for my google maps to connect. i haven't had any problems at all. its just a matter of telling the device what to do in the right places lol
I have a stock X10i on R2BA020 and I want to connect to the wifi in my univeristy. But according to the tech people there, I need proxy settings to login. Thats why they said apparently, BB users cant connect to the wifi there because with BB you cant set a proxy. My question is... Is there anyway to get a proxy for the x10 without rooting it? like a certain app or anything I can download to get some sort of proxy on the phone? or is it a weakness of Android in general?
So the only viable workaround is the app that tricks your browser but you arent allowed to use any of the apps, youtube etc?
thanks for your help!
PS im a noob with networking jargon so excuse me for being a nub
Ok please forgive my ignorance but how is it that the Mobile AP and wifitether apps let you tether for free. What I mean is, what about them is different from the built-in hotspot app? The hotspot app does not ask you to login or register or anything so how does Sprint know the difference. Is there something in the app itself that notifies Sprint of it being used? And if that is the case wouldn't it be easy to block that outbound communication? I appreciate those of you who are willing to help me understand this.
Do actually VPNs work in India I have tried many apps but indian servers are either absent or in premium cases also i tried to set up vpn manually through settings but the result was zero. In India here we face crisis the data plans are too expensive and by today till 12AM my pack will end please somebody help to get free internet.
I would also like to mention that there are a few vpn apps which need internet connectivity for usage then how will we determine whether we are using packed data or vpn
The following is the list of VPN apps which i've used;
OpenVPN
DroidVPN
FeatVPN
my handset has tun.ko module installed in it and my android version is 4.4.0(build.prop edited)

your android version is not 4.0.4 dispite what you put in the build prop - you can put a version of 100000000 and it will still be gingerbread 2.3.x
I dont understand your use of vpn - it sounds like you are in india and you are trying to connect to an indian vpn so I dont understand your use for it
surely you want to connect to say an american vpn server to access say american playstore content
and please why are you creating so many threads - for lots of questions please use the ask any questions thread first to avoid clutteriing the q and a thread with lots of questions from the same person
also you cannot get free internet by the method you are doing nor would xda condone such things
I would suggest contacting your network provider - since in the uk we get unlimited data for £15 a month
