Hi, does anyone knows an application like Proxifier but for PPC?
If don't know what proxifier is:
http://www.proxifier.com/
"Proxifier is a program that allows network applications that do not support working through proxy servers to operate through an HTTPS or SOCKS proxy or a chain of proxy servers."
An application like this for PPC would be great as we could use cheap unlimited traffic data connections (WAP) but behind a proxy with limited ports to work with any application...
I couldn't find something like this, any advice?
This is exactly what I have been searching for. Let's keep this thread alive.
Thanks for showing me proxifier. I only knew about Sockscap and Proxycap. If only someone would make a mobile version.

ProxyCap now supports WM. It works great, I've tried it. But it's a 30-day trial, and costs $30 to keep.

oh and btw it is preregistered...

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and the world of XDA's, I was given one for Christmas and now I am looking at developing software to extend it, after finding out that MSN Messenger does not work with Pay-As-You-Go on O2 (and other providers) because of the limitation of other ports, I've decided to build a proxy for messenger so that it can connect over the HTTP protocol.
I have a lot of previous experience with Messenger at the protocol level, I have developed many pieces of software which connect to the servers as normal clients would, most importantly I have a good understanding of how the Proxy system works.
I have not developed in many system-level languages before, however. I am mainly a PHP coder and am learning VB .NET at college, however I plan on doing this project in either VB .NET or C++.
What I require help with is how to actually pick-up/hijack the commands sent to the server, before they are sent to the server. Is there any way of doing this without MSN supporting a proxy, I've seen it done on many pieces of software, but does anyone here have the knowledge to help me do that? Once I have the messenger interface the Proxy system will be a breeze to complete.
Would anyone be able to help me out with the above, in terms of a section of code, or a suggestion for a website to look at?
Many Thanks
Andy
P.S. Sorry my explanation is a bit vague but that is the best way to explain it, I could draw a picture of what I mean if anyone requires
I believe what you are trying to do is of great importance for many users..
I can't help in the proraming field.. since my info in this field are really limited..
However.. I would sugget another soulotion ..
why don't try creating an application that works as socks server for the msn messenger...
there many similar programs for the PC.. like www.hopster.com
if you can port it into PPC platform, it will be awesome
Happy holidays
Hi
Is it possible to use the standard web'n'walk for 7.50 a month for MSN messenger?
in the terms and conditions it states its not covered but i was wondering if anyone had some sort of hack for it? to get around the proxy or something
is this possible?
No. Windows Live Messenger Mobile application cannot pass through an HTTP or SOCKS proxy. The protocol differs, and it's not implemented. That's why a hack would not be possible.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316890&page=4
and
http://arctic-things.blogspot.com/2008/01/internet-gateway-openvpn-openwrt-on.html
..but don't expect something easy for the average user, it's more than "advanced". Sorry i cannot explain better than of what i did on my blog (really no time at all...) so good luck!

Ive tried a few things since I wanted to use IRC, and possibly hook the laptop up for normal web....but nothing worked.
In the end ive settled to paying the extra for wnw+....totally worth it for the amount i use it.
hello, i have the touch flo 1.0.1818.3719 and i lost my aim. is there a cab that i can get it back. orrr a cabb for a better aim, that doesnt use the internet plan....cause i have the aim plan not the internet..please reply asap. cause im going to my cousins upstate liek 3 days from now, and they dont have internet up there! thank you all!
I still have the AIM 2.0 for Mobile - however, it is too large to attach here, so, if you want, PM me your email address and I will send it to you. It is the free English UK AIM for Mobile 2.0 if that is what you're looking for. It connects using your active internet connection.
I just wonder if another Messenger application wouldn't be better? Such as IM++ or Agile Messenger?
You can get it off their website or check my signature for alternatives (such as Slick, Jivetalk, etc).
Yeah it is as easy as re-downloading it from AIM.com

Can any one help
I have the best phone in the world and I cannot get Fishtext to work. Keeping on saying cannot connect. Check GPRS SETTING.
I have tried everything
Please help
do other programs work ok over gprs? can you surf the web? (turn off 3g to test )
FISHTEXT
Yes. I can do everything. Internet, skype, straming music.. You name it I can do it.. FISHTEXT. no..
does fish text require you to connect to a special server?
have you emailed fish text support? more likely to get an answer from them than from here.
Ip address
IT does connect to a special IP address. I have thought it my be the JAVA???
I have tried the support. Not very good at all.
just been to their site and they have a special page just for people with gprs problems. did you look through that?(it also means that chances are it isn't the phone at fault)
http://www.fishtext.com/GPRS/
hmmm sorry don't think I can help then. I get free texts in my contract so I've never used a service like fish text. sorry.

I just need the JAVA cabc for windows mobile so I can test them all
Hello friends...
so i came to a link posted here by someone on getting EDGE (T-Mobile USA ) network on out Windows Mobile phone using proxy..
(here's the link http://www.ehow.com/how_4833301_conf...ws-mobile.html)
when i opened Internet Explorer....there were no sites i could open...except it showed me an error message from T-Mobile that i need to use a MONTHLY BASED PLAN...
HOwever to my surprise i opened YAHOO MOBILE(m.yahoo.com) on OPERA 10 beta 2 and bravo.....IT WORKED...that means i could check my emails...
however other sites did not opened and gave the same error message !!
ALso then i opened up a JAVA APPLICATION Called "SNAPTU" ( http://www.getjar.com/mobile/18108/s...-kp500-cookie/ )
it asked me to connect to the internet and i gave permisions !! and it worked as well !! i was able to access FAcebook....CNN...BBC...etc...
but again OPERA MINI 5 did not work !!!
is it becos of the java apps connecting via proxy...if so please tell me some java apps that will work just like SNAPTU....
PLEASE TELL ME !! IS THERE ANY WAY TO MAKE IT REALLY WORK !!
thank you !
Is only T-zones enabled?
Opera mini doesn't support proxied connection because it uses a tunnel through socks or http, that includes the tzone wap proxy. Opera mobile however does. Not sure why Internet explored doesn't work but it sucks so I wouldn't touch it anyways. U need to configure ie to use a proxy before anything else. I believe opera mobile autodetects it
internet2.voicestream.com

agreed. tmobile disabled proxy support.
OP, what exactly are you trying to do?
well ok here's d thing....application like SNAPTU (java application) works.....i can use facebook...and a lot other apps....inside it...so clearly we some how have packet transfer....also Palringo mobile messenger works......absolutely fine.....
now if theres just some way to make opera mini work the same way.....
i saw someone post a opera mini handler...in which a lot of people were able to make mini work....using their own proxy support for EDGE connections......
