After i installed a exposed module called Xtouchwiz for the AT&T model and i restarted my phone this keeps popping up on my screen " Service Provider update , Your device will restart to configure features supported by the new sim card" but no sim card is added ? How can i change this ?
I too, am getting this message, but only when my SIM is inserted. It reboots into recovery....
you have to unroot and restore the device to the stock version

Hi @Raz12 and @rodin95.
I have also got this problem after flashing the G930U firmware and later inserting my SIm card. I have also just installed Exposed, so not sure if this could be the cause. Did either of you have any success solving the issue?

Well sadly i just had to restore everything back in odin and not install that xposed module. I'm scared to install anything xposed until it's a easier way to flash without restarting over.
@ghter - As @Raz12 mentioned, I had to do the same thing and restore everything back and not install xposed.
are you guys using the ATT or Unlocked Samsung versions of the S7/S7 Edge? i'm on ATT using a S7 Edge DUOS with the XTouchWiz installed and have not received any message about updates. Thanks
I am having the same issue. I uninstalled xposed and all the modules and cleared cache and I am still getting the notification. I removed the sim so I can kinda use the phone. Is the only way to fix it is to reinstall firmware?

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FACTORY RESET!!
My phone is a Galaxy S7 running the G930U Firmware on Verizon. I also received this warning after installing XTouchWiz. I was unable to use my phone as each time it booted up, it would greet me with the the following message:
"SERVICE PROVIDER UPDATE - Your device will restart to configure features supported by the new SIM card"
....even though I had not installed a new SIM card. Anyways, this is how I was able to regain access to my phone after this nuisance:
Just enter adb shell, and enter the following commands:
adb shell
su
pm list packages -e | grep 'AutoPreconfig'
pm disable com.sec.android.AutoPreconfig

After that, you may wish to go to the following directory and delete the actual apk:
/system/priv-app/AutoPreconfig/
Find the AutoPreconfig.apk package and either delete it, or just rename it to something your Android doesn't recognize. The advantage to renaming it is that if for some reason you do end up needing it, you still have the file and you can just rename it back to stock.

Glad I could help. I remember how incredibly frustrating that was when it happened to me. Glad to hear you're back up and running again.
Sorry to resurrect, but I thought it worth noting that you can freeze AutoPreConfig app with Titanium Backup.
I upgraded from version Q10 to version S05. First stockRom and then I installed rom s05 and magisk 25.2, everything is working wonderfully. I'm having difficulties installing Xposed Edge Pro 7.01. When starting it, the message appears that the module is not active. I installed Lsposed and managed to activate it within Lsposed but when running Xposed Edge Pro 7.01 it still appears that the module is not active yet. Which is to enable it within the xposed installer. I INSTALLED riru-v26.1.6.r527.cdcb9f34c6-release.zip and MAGISK 25.2 shows me that the Riru module is suspended because Zygisk is active. I also don't know if Riru is necessary to be installed and activated to Xposed Edge Pro 7.01 work. Could anyone help me how I can make Xposed Edge Pro 7.01 work on this ROMS05? I'd like also to install and Active the Riru module in Magisk because many modules need of Riru.

When I tried to install a program, the Package Installer was missing from the list of actions.
I flashed back to stock ROM.
It's still not showing up in my actions menu.
When I go to settings/applications/ALL - it shows Package Installer at 0.00B.

Never heard of that website and it keeps timing out on me.
You're better off using the video linked above to Odin back to stock. This will erase all your data, so either start from scratch or back up your apps and whatnot.
Bad news...I followed the instructions from your suggested video.
Put on SPH-D700-DG27-8Gb-REL.tar
Still...the Program Installer doesn't show up on the ACTIONS menu!
It goes Music, then Phone, the gTalk Settings....
Grrrrrrrrrr.
Any other ideas?
So are you trying to side load an application? Meaning you have "Unknown sources" checked under the Settings > Applications menu, and have an apk file to install.
The phone won't install that apk file? Or are you looking for something else to happen when you touch the file on the screen?
If none of the above, then I'm lost at what you're trying to accomplish.
Correct. I'm just trying to load up some apk's that I have on SugarSync/DropBox/SD Card/etc. Unknown Sources is checked.
When I click on the apk - it gives me the action menu. None of those actions is Package Installer. It used to be there, now it isn't. I've loaded all my programs this way in the past.
I tried Odin again and put on the EC05 tar file. Same result. No Package Installer listed in the actions menu.
Man, I just don't know. This is my first time reading of such a problem on the Epic forum.
Using Odin and that tar file gives you 100% stock Froyo. You can then install apk files once the "unknown sources" option is selected.
Did you re-install any other applications after using Odin or restore your data? That could be your culprit, which would mean you'd have to start from scratch (aka clean install).
Starting from total scratch.
It's a mystery.
The only thing I installed was SugarSync so that I could get to the files.
I even tried downloading ASTRO File Manager and using their installer that shows up on the actions menu. That used to work to install...but it doesn't anymore. It just sticks.
I guess maybe I need to go to the Sprint Store. Good thing I flashed her

Same Problem
I just bought the Motorola Triumph for Virgin Mobile and I have the same problem. Well a similar problem. I went to see if there was an OTA update and it says "Install Package not found". So I went to the All list of applications and my Package Installed is 0.00 also. I did notice that a lot of other system apps are 0.00 also. Here's the list of them:
Account and Sync Settings
Activation Utility Service
Aging Test
Android Live Wallpapers
Android System
Battery Parameter Upgrade
BlueToothTestMode
BTtools
CDASYS
Certificate Installer
DbgCfgTool
E-Compass Calibration
Env_Runin_Vibrator_Tool
Fallback
FM Radio
FQC Program
G-Sensor Calibration
GasGaugeLogging
Gps Deleter
Home screen tips
HTML Viewer
Live Wallpaper Picker
logtools (I had two of these)
Magic Smoke Wallpaper
Media Container Service
Package Installer
Pico TTS
SD Card test
SIM Toolkit
Sound Recorder
System Update
Terminal Emulator
TTS Service
Voice Dialer
VPN Services
Wifi Comman
Wifi Test
It's a pretty extensive list. I did root it, but I know I had the update problem before I rooted it so I don't think that did anything to it. Hopefully we can figure out why they are messed up for both of our sakes. Thanks!

Wow man... I'm glad you were able to assist the people affected, but the attitude/negative tone is unnecessary. I just saw the post requesting me [or anyone for that matter] to share the files.
I stated that using Odin to go back to stock may be best. He/She was discussing a problem with what many would consider a core function, being able to install an application. Finally, CWM often gives bad flashes, so in my mind it appeared to be a logical suggestion to start with 100% stock and work from there to find the culprit.
I did not share the APK files because I got busy, forgot about the post and missed the request.

Just saw this post due to it being on page 1 again. The post above your recent reply contains the files.
Found and confirming a method on how to get the latest version of Xposed Framework working on Note 4 (T-Mobile SM-N910T). Also Wanam Xposed is working fine too inside Xposed Framework.
Step 1:
Insure that Xposed Framework is fully uninstalled from the device temporarily.
Step 2:
Go into Root Browser, or any browser of choice that has root privileges and go to /System/Build.Prop and open it as a text document.
Step 3:
Inside the Build.Prop file look for a line that says "ro.securestorage.support=true" [NOTE: IT IS THERE I PROMISE YOU, a bit hard to find]
Step 4:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Change "ro.securestorage.support=true" to "ro.securestorage.support=false"
Step 5:
Go back into Xposed Framework, install and reboot and you MAY be fine. Most users will need to continue here. If you still have issues there are 2 methods to fully fix Xposed and S-Health
[Option 1: Download a fix module after Xposed re installed after the Build.Prop fix]
[Option 2: Disable S-Health completely]
Thanks to Compusmurf for mentioning about this module
Option1:
Step 1:
Go into Xposed Framework, download a module called "XSecureStorage"
Click Framework and hit Install/Update and you are good to go! If this module doesn't do the
trick, try Option 2. Option 2 is guaranteed to work since you will be disabling S-Health all together.
Option2:
Step 1:
In Settings App>>Application Manager find "SHealth" and select "Turn Off"
That will guarantee for Xposed to work fully fine with no lag. Leave a Thanks if this worked for you and post back if any questions or issues!
Or if u use shealth then don't disable that but install the fix module.
Thanks...I will add that in my post.
Or use the xposed module that wanam made that fixes thus issue plus private mode and shealth
What xspoded lag ?
I had to reflash through Odin to fix the lag and haven't tried xposed since. I'll give this a go
On the Note 4 when Xposed Framework is installed, on alot of peoples Note 4's including mine, in the phones performance it will have randum 3-4 second hiccups everyonce in awhile. It will just freeze anywhere for 3 seconds then resume. Some may not have that issue/notice it. I heard it happens on the GS5 also.
Yea odin doesnt really solve the problem, it just removes xposed framework obviously, but it works for me and my friends with Note 4's tried it and they are confirming it also.
Yes that is another worthing method, but if you dont want Wanam Xposed for some odd reason this works without dependencies on other modules excluding Option 1 in my post.

Thanks. I was able to get it to work again. But can anyone else confirm they were able to use the S5 add widgets to lock screen module to work on the Note 4? I read a couple other posts that said it worked. But I cant get it to. I added all the modules, enabled them. But still cant find anyway to get widgets to the lock screen. If anyone knows please let me (and others) know. Thanks
The fixes here in the OP did seem to eliminate the lag I was seeing after rooting and using Xposed. The Samsung keyboard still seems to lag some but I'm thinking that's just the keyboard, because the Google keyboard works great! Thanks OP!
Just disable secure storage in Wanam this fixes the lag as others mentioned
Its Wanam Xposed, under "Security" tab and checkbox "Disable Secure storage" and/ or used XSecureStorage module.
Hello,
I wanted to install Bixby Voice Wake-Up application to my unrooted Galaxy Note 5 (I installed many S8 apps) but i got the package name confliction error, so I decompiled the apk to change its package name. I followed instructions to decompile and edit the package name, it was going alright. When the editing process finished, I needed to compile the files but I do not know how to do it. Now, I'm asking you, how can I recompile the files?
Additionally, I tried tons of ways to accomplish;
I tried to install it immediately after I see the homescreen
I uninstalled the updates of the conflicting app and tried to install the apk
I tried to change the package name of the apk by using APK Editor Pro and it changed but when it's installed, an app shows up and when I open it, a screen with loading bar and "Initializing" frozes (you can see it in the picture)
I tried to change the package name of the installed app, but it didn't really changed in system/priv-app

Did you ever get it figured out? I'm in the same boat.
the reason that bixby voice fails to install is because it must be placed on root on fone and permissions enhanced.
Further detail why bixby must be place on root of fone is because i took apart a wake-up app and compared to s- voice wake up and others. I found that Bixby voice lacked install instruction that s- voice had. There is no plug in direction.

Unless u have some special flasher tool like the z3x i think it is its not gonna happen. I used one of them file explorers, and looked at its permissions and apk installation instructions that are progammed into the apk. I found that when compared to the s voice wake up apk. The bixby voice didnt have the apk installation instruction just the apk name and version. Sooo....... just have to find root for ur device or get the system flasher.
I am having the same prob and I think it might be bad news
Hi....i am having the same issue as you and I have had it before when I wanted to download the Samsung s8 touchwiz to my s7.
Unfortunately to solve that problem I had to back up all my pictures and factory reset the phone.....when setting the phone up again, don't sign in to Samsung when asked to do it. Then I went straight on the web and downloaded and installed the touchwiz no problem then finished the set up and completely forgot about bixby so download a full set of bixby programs. All of them installed but accept the wake up file.
So I will prob have to do another factory reset again and install the bixby straight away with it.
Only thing is I am not actually sure that even if the last bixby file does download will bixby voice actually work. I pretty sure there is something about needing custom ROM and having to download it in a boot loader to actually get it to work. So not sure if it's worth it
Also my wife has am S8 and bixby is great for the for few days but when it becomes part of everyday life you will never use....only time she seems to be on bixby is when she is knocking the button by accident.
By all means I am not saying it's **** or anything like that I just think it's in it's early days and it needs a couple of years yet to get off the ground and by the time it is worth all this work and fuss you, prob have a phone that has it on standard anyway.
I know I went on but want people to know what I have experienced with full bixby on S8 and it's not all si6nging and dancing like people think.

Absolutely brilliant!!
The only part where I got a bit lost was, installing Kingo on theFactory Image. That can be done by downloading the Kingo for PC version, and rooting the phone over USB.
Be aware that the Kingo software installs a bunch of other crap on your PC that you should uninstall later.
can we convert on custom rom or just only in stock rom?

but my mobile sim tray not supported dual sim
Hi Guys, sorry if this is not 100% the correct thread, but you seem to be able to answer my question:
Can I easily copy the IMEIs from one S7 (SM-G930FD dual sim from china) to another S7 (SM-G930F) and vice versa? Do I need to follow all the steps or is there a easier solution, maybe just backup one phone and restore it to the other?
Any help is appreciated!

Hello, I have a new one plus 8 pro and I am rooted. I also have a Galaxy watch and when I install Samsung pay on the watch it says call customer service device has been compromised even though I have magiskhide for all the Samsung modules. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this working?
Thank you in advance...
I have the same problem. Completely stock. So I wonder if it's a Samsung issue. I had the 6t rooted and I was able to use Samsung pay without any problems
Okay, I think I found the answer. In magisk settings, you need to rename the package to something else. It is the third option down in settings. After I change the name it worked like a charm and of course you have to hide the for Samsung modules in magiskhide...

Is this still working for you? It's definitely not working on my end with my Pixel. The newest Magisk Manager also does not allow you to select any apps to hide, it's a simple toggle on or off for Magisk Hide and renaming the Magisk Manager didn't do anything.
Did you have to reboot after the rename?

UPDATED Post : see next post for my solution that worked.
Hi aaronc_98,
Hope this is actually still working for you on your OP8 Pro!
When you say you need to rename the package, what are you referring to exactly?? The Samsung Pay app or Hide the Magisk App (renaming) in App settings?
Please provide more details on a step-by-step process you did to make it work on your OP device...if still working.
I have OP6T and it has stopped working recently and can't find a way to get back.
My setup:
OP6T, OOS 10.3.11
Galaxy Watch 46mm, latest OS installed (Jun 15, 2021)
Galaxy Wear App, SPAY Watch Plugin up to date. (Jun 15, 2021).
Thanking you in advance!

UPDATE,
Got it all to work!
Preparation:
- Install Galaxy Wearable
- Update Watch to the latest
- Install SP Watch Plugin (do not launch it at all)
Magisk Setup:
- Hide the following apps in MagiskHide: Hit the shield, Hit "MagiskHide" and select the apps:
a) Google Play Services
b) Samsung Health
c) SP Watch Plugin
* You can add banking apps here as well

Next, recommend hiding the Magisk App itself for the setup. Here is how to do it:
- Hit "Settings" (within Magisk App)
- Hit "Hide the Magisk App" (I used MGKSettings).
Magisk will accept it and repopulate itself.
For good measure, I rebooted my device to recovery (TWRP in my case) wiped "Dalvik / ART Cache" and rebooted to system.
Once rebooted, go to the SP Watch Plugin App INFO (Do not launch the App), got to Storage & Cache & Clear Storage & Cache (should be 0 on both) for good measure!
Launch Galaxy Wear and (Strongly Recommended) scroll down to setup Samsung Pay and follow the steps. **(I don't recommend doing the SPay setup through the Watch Plugin.)**
If you get a notice within 10 seconds saying that the device is not secure (can't remember the message), you may have missed something and you need to start over with clean install of the SP Watch Plugin (storage & cache cleared).
Worst case they may have updated the Samsung Pay, Samsung Health Apps & OOS and it's been blocked again. Therefore we would need to restart the whole process from scratch or find another workaround.
PS. Some of you would probably like to restore or Un-Hide the Magisk App, so I went ahead and did it....so far SPay seems to be working. I have not reboot my device neither, which I rarely do. (I have rebooted my device several times since this post)
For any reason, in the coming days, there is an issue of any kind, I will report back here. If not, it's all good!
Hopefully this can help some of you out there!
worked for me, thanks a lot
