Hello, im looking if its possible to make a backup of full Rom. Im wanna try install nand android but im afraid to lose all data/settings and everything from my Wm rom.
Sorry for new thread.Peace.
Spb backup, sprite backup, sktools, resco backup.
Do a full backup using SPB Backup, this will save all your settings/SMS/etc onto your SD card. Download a copy of the ROM on your phone.
If you want to return to WinMo, then flash the ROM and run the SPB Backup retore file on the SD Card - this will put all your stuff back into WinMo.
Thanks guys.
Backing up ROMs can take up a lot of space. Is it possible to either backup to USB flash drives or move backups there once created with ROM Manager? What's the best method of ROM backup?
On your PC/laptop. Bluetooth it across

Thanks, okpc. What I'm unsure of is if I need to restore can I access a backup on a USB flash drive or other remote location?
Every now and then, i hook my tab up to my computer and move the folders for every backup except my most recent 2.
I keep an extra one in case there's something wrong with the most recent backup than I just haven't noticed yet.

How do I back up the old one and install this one?
And save all the info like Whatsapp, Facebook, Msn messenger data?
For me the best solution is Titanium Backup. Always does its job

It depends on what type of backup you want. Do you want to restore the apps onto new rom?
You can boot into clockworkmod and do a nandroid backup. This would backup entire nand. You would just simply then flash same nand partition and restore rom back when needed.
If you simply want to backups your apps/app data then you can either do the nand backup and then use appextractor to restore apps from the backup to new rom or you can use Titanium Backup to backup/restore all your apps/app data.

Really?! I've done this before and all worked fine, but I always use Titanium Backup as a failsafe method.

You are probably using a buggy version of CWM and it isn't backing up your app data from sd-ext maybe.
Or he's only choosing to restore sd-ext and not data too.

Thanks for your reply everyone. The issue is I am in the process of changing my sd card as I currently have a 1gb card. And most roms recommend at least 2 gb or more.
Yes indeed I do want to copy all apps/memory into new rom if possible?
Hey,
I want to backup my ROM onto my PC so that I can restore it in a weeks time but I dont have enough space to do it with titanium backup...

You can use adb for backup to pc. Google it. I assume you backing up apps+data.

Does it contain the full rom + installed apps + media ( audio, images, video ) + other data ( calendar, sms, contacts etc.. ) ?? I just took a backup via TWRP of BOOT, SYSTEM, and DATA(excl Storage). Is it ok? What does excl storage mean? TWRP said << Backups of Data do not include an files in internal storage such as pictures or downloads.. So i have to backup them manually?? Why? **** I just read that i doesnt contain internal storage.. So this question solved. ****
Can i restore nandroid to a newer OOS version? For example if i have 4.5.14 nandroid and then i install 4.5.15 can i restore the nandroid or not?
And lastly, how can i take full backup, if i want install OREO?
What is better, nandroid via TWRP or backup with Titanium?
Titanium backup only does apps.
