Titanium Backup - Android ID - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Admittedly, this feels like a stupid question. With MM, TB changed the method with which we restored the Android ID. It was allegedly fixed months ago whereby you can restore the system settings instead of using the menu item.
It's never worked for me. What am I missing? Many thanks in advance.

Your question is not clear... you seem to be talking about 2 different things here

Fair enough. I'll run ADB for it. Plugging in my phone is hard, y'all.

We used the smart card & s58 file to disable the chip, not the Jtag interface.
Why would you post this in one thread:

Although I agree the bootup animation is from older versions of Android, It's clearly 2.x+ as shown at 1:20 by the lwp, phone app instead of dialer, and a few other apps in the drawer.

Sorry, I bought some tablets for staff. One of the users of the latest upgraded Tab to 1.4.4 says that her tablet buttons don't respond very well after the update.
She is the only one on 1.4.4, the rest are on 1.4.2
Are there any long fingernail issues? And beliwve it or not, some people are button-challenged. I would definately observe her.
Edit: Adinis78 mentioned his search button didn't work correctly in 1.4.4 -- maybe this is an issue for some.

As rangercaptain said, some people use their nails to press them like they had to on old touch screens. Try downgrading to 1.4.2 and see if that helps.

No it isn't a usability issue as she was using stock rom with no problems before. I guess I'll switch her out to 1.4.2 when I see her next.

I don't think you can use the upgrade version of 1.42 - you will have to do the wipe version, or the problem will still be there. If she has many apps, etc. remember use titanium to back up her apps and their data, but no system data.

The idea for 'zombie infested Gingerbread/Desire' was because of the zombie image Google included into the Gingerbread build.

Yeah, this was on the portal yesterday (maybe today? I forget) At least we don't have this.
Even if we did have that on our device. You can delete the file so you don't have to worry about it

Yes, but what about the users who wish to be unrooted (or are to oblivious to know out exists?) They are hugely vulnerable.

I think the ones in older Sense devices just logs crashes in apps though, while the one in new Sense devices logs everything, giving the old one less important info, and leaving the new one far more vulnerable.
Isn't this where droidwall or the like comes into play? Removal is always best but blocking those unwanted apps from accessing data should be commonplace.

I removed it from my wife's stock 2.2 shift and it caused a force close loop which I had to pull the battery to fix. Once the phone rebooted everything was fine though and the logger was uninstalled.

I tried this but it's a bit transparent in the quick settings. I only tried the base theme in the first post. Make a backup first and then flash in SS.

That's a bummer, you might be able to fix that by deleting some folders in the zip file from the priv_app and app folder. I'll mess around with it tomorrow some and let you know if you want.

I actually just deleted the incallui.apk folder and it worked great. I am using now. I had to adjust some stuff with xposed and wanam because the new theme breaks it. Lol
