Hey guys, I've already flashed twrp and root my e7 once, and I wished to return with everything official just for being able to download ota upgrades.
I downloaded my stock 5.1 and flashed by odin.
Everything is alright but OTA ISN'T WORKING ;-; It says that I've done a "unofficial modification" or whatever.
Maybe cause my binary is "custom", I don't know.
How can I return to be able to download ota upgrades? PLEASE

When you flashed the stock rom was it the ODIN flash rom which can be found and
downloaded from http://SamMobile.com ?
There are a lot of twrp/cwm flashable stock roms but if you want to make your phone stock
so it can get OTA updates the stock official rom must be the odin flash type and you need to
un-install root then do a full wipe before odin flashing the official stock rom.
Good luck!

No.
1. CWM = Custom Recovery. Anything but stock recovery cannot install an official OTA.
2. If you didn't have CWM and had stock recovery, Xposed and Wanam shouldn't matter when doing the OTA, all you have to do is reinstall the Xposed Framework afterwards inside the framework menu.
3. If you want to do this update, you must go back on stock ROM, meaning you will have to flash the current firmware in Odin which would delete all your data and root. Perform the update then hope you can still root, if necessary.

I don't get the OTA update on my VZW S5 , even the fact i am on NE9, tried several times to get it via software update from the device - no luck , not working.
so i thought to flash it manually and need the "how to do it" steps.
I found the 4.4.4 OTA zip file.
Can anyone be kind and guide me with the steps how to manual flash it ?
is it done by the loading the zip file to the S5 and flashing from recovery or it should be done via ODIN ? please advise & guide me how to do it.
Currently i am on the NE9 stock - UN rooted
I'm on NGC stock rooted..how would I go about manually updating to the 4.4.4 update.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55347753
I managed to upgrade to 4.4.4 by downloading the full firmware instead of the OTA and flashed it via Odin 3.09 and it worked like magic
its was as easy just to download the file from the link below , unzip it and get the md5 file and flash with Odin 3.09
I was on stock, un-rooted , 4.4.2 , NE9 and upgraded to NHA
The full firmware can be found here

Thanks
i was able to take part one of the update which i think did something to Root....when I open SuperSU it says cant install binary, may need to re-root. I don't want root anymore. I tried second OTA update and fails.
I'm guessing i just have to odin flash a stock img?...my question is, can i do the lollipop one? or do i have to do kitkat and just take the OTA? also, does it matter which version of kitkat or lollipop?
thanks!
download the latest stock rom from somewhere, and flash with odin or flashfire. That should be all you need to do.
thanks...just flashed one of the lollipops and worked great! didnt have to even kept data and custom went away!
Hello. I have a problem that I flashed the TWRP Recovery (so I could flash the xposed uninstaller, since the xposed framework doesn't work on my armeabi v7a). I was using Flashify to flash it. After I flashed I touched the reboot now button (without knowing that hitting an unofficial reboot button can make my tab on boot to recovery) and booted to the TWRP recovery and flashed the uninstaller. When I hit the Reboot System button, it booted to recovery again! I can boot to download mode, but can't boot the OS!:crying: Can someone help me fix it w/out loosing data? And also, I would like to know if I can update to the latest Android Nougat and have it rooted w/out also loosing data. Please, can someone help me?
UPDATE: I flashed the stock recovery using ODIN and now my tablet is working! :victory: Now, I ONLY need to know how can I update to Nougat without loosing root and data.
If you take the OTA update to nougat you should be able to update your system without losing your data. You may just have to reflash the SuperSU zip through twrp.
Being rooted now, it might not download the OTA update on its own. My tablet when I am on the QD1 MM build, will automatically download the OTA update for use at a later time. In your case you could download the OTA first and then do your rooting.
But I had this same problem under slightly different circumstances.
I used the Widget from the TWRP Manager app to reboot to recovery, and after I used that my Tablet would reboot to recovery and nothing else. I had to reflash the ODIN firmware to fix it.

So, you mean that if I unroot my tablet, then I could get the OTA update from the official samsung server?
Plus, if it's not the case, do you think I can use Flashfire to flash the firmware?

Yes because the OTA Update is only a couple hundred MB versus the 1.3GB size of the ODIN Firmware.
Or you can use the Samsung SmartSwitch PC app to get the official firmware downloaded and installed. But that program will just download the ODIN firmware for you which is over a GB.
Here is a link to the ODIN Firmwares available: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=154234
The build, " T350XXU1CQJ1_T350XAR1CQJ1_XAR.zip" is the Nougat 7.1.1 firmware.

One more question, the OTA detection for some reason it doesn't work. Now, I want to attempt an OTA update using FlashFire and I also selected the Modem firmware (13 MB) and the NON-HLOS.bin firmware (12 MB) and EverRoot enabled to inject SuperSU. Should I flash it like that?

I wouldn't use the ever root option. There is twrp and a supersu zip that can be used for the nougat build.
I'd let it remove root during the update and then re-root afterwards.
Hi, I updated my tablet using Smart Switch. It's working as a charm! Can you send me a link to get the twrp recovery for my tablet with Nougat? Merry Xmas!????
