I got an lg g2 D805, i was running resurrection remix newest version for d802 with perfect compatibility, then I decided to move to Cloudy G2 3.3, Installation went fine, but when aroma finishes, I didnt mark the TWRP option. Because Im actually got Philz and I love it, so the phone boot and now i dont have recovery, cuz when I try to reboot recovery it says, boot secure error, but flashify says Philz is isntalled, my phone locked the bootloader again? What should I do to install or boot to recovery?
Thanks pals

I have been trying to do the same, over and over again, I think the only way is to go back to stock, but since the Root method I used required TWRP, that won't help either and that I had to install via ADB, I would love to find an answer to this too
Here is your answer!

Which version of TWRP are yours?
You can download the newest one (2.6.3.4) here
I downloaded the flashable one and then installed CM 11 just fine.
My phone is D802 too.
Hope I can help! :fingers-crossed:
i flashed it with flashify using this copy of CWM
hmm didnt see that you were using the d802...not sure if this will work or not. If you want to try it be my guest. otherwise get on the AndIRC channel and ask around thats what I did.
Also you can replace the recovery from terminal.
Here is the link. Just did it and tested successfully.

try to install philz touch from twrp https://www.dropbox.com/s/tskgz4ei8262s61/philz_touch_6.07.6-d802.zip
After rooting my D80010q with ioRoot24 I decided to install ROM Manager and make a NANDroidBackup before I installed Xposed. The root works but an issue came up after I attempted to boot into recovery (CWM Touch 6.0.4.4). I simply got a dead android icon after the LG logo. After I Googled the issue and couldn't find any kind of solution besides attempting to boot into recovery manually by holding the volume buttons and the power button while turning on the device, which failed, I decided to come here.
Has anyone encountered this before and knows of any kind of solution to boot into recovery? I'm guessing it's because the bootloader is locked but I could be wrong. Didn't plan on installing a custom ROM though.
Info:
Carrier: AT&T
Device: D80010q
Android Version: 4.2.2
ROM Manager Version: 5.5.3.7
CWM Version: 6.0.4.4 Touch
Rooted with ioRoot24
Recovery flashed within the ROM Manager app

yes it should not be a problem but others have reported trouble while trying to flash roms so be careful
I used FreeGee to try to install a custom recovery after root. First TWRP, stuck at performing action. Then CWM. Then the older CWM. Always stuck at performing action. The old CWM worked. Reboot to recovery and get security boot error. Looked around on forums and found a CWM batch install that everyone says works for them. Still recovery boot error. Anyone know what's up? I'm on AT&T D800. Rooted by ioroot25
Also RomManager says I have both recoveries installed. Thinking this might be the issue. How do I delete one or both and get on the right track?
I think I have the same problem. Could u solve the problem?

Safest way is to go back to stock 4.2.2 first, then root with IOroot then install recovery.lok

Thanks again for quick help however I have checked the downgrade process and its too long plus I have to download stock 4.2.2 firmware which is 1GB plus in size..
So is there no easy method to install recovery on already rooted stock 4.4.2 firmware?

No, no easy one, and some might even say none at all, but you can read the rooting thread where they discuss recovery as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887
I have a rooted D802 and I wanted to install recovery. I'd surf and search and tried a few solutions but without success. Everytime It stuck on boot and black screen with some error message about bootloader. I've tried TWRP and Philz, nothing. I have KK D80220B_00 (A6HUBK).
How can I install custom recovery?

This tool downgrade KK bootloader and install patched kernel because KK bootloader can't be lokifiable and KK kernel can't boot on JB bootloader. And that's why you couldn't install a recovery.

Had the same pb. Ended up using autorec app.
I will advise to read the thread first. Some people experienced issue while doing it. I didn't, what I did is I downloaded paranoid android and flashed as soon as I used the app.
I have a D803 but it should be similar.

Hello.
I have a D805 LG G2, flashed with CM 13.0 Nightly. [Running 6.0.1]
The problem is THERE'S NO RECOVERY. [Wait...What?]
From the Start:
-CSE Flash
-Flashed CM 13.0 [using Bumped TWRP from AutoRec]
Now I can't update my CM 13.0, because everytime that boot into recovery gives the SecureBoot error.
I can't loki because of unsupported aboot error. (Some users said that Loki was patched in 4.4)
I found AutoRec type for D855 (MarshMellow) but there's no version for D805 (or D802)
Tryed "dd" but not working.
All the apps in playstore don't work.
There's no way to flash TWRP now? I don't want to CSE Flash again and lose all my data.
[If anyone want some files from D805, pm me. Links for Aboot.img or such.] [I almost started porting D805 for CyanogenMod but got no time to do it.]

Yes. Now I can boot to TWRP, but gives me a bootloop then automatically boots me into TWRP. Must be another way than this.
Well, after work I will flash the Latest CM 13.0 Nightly.

Nah, Normal Flash on KDZ always give me a bootloop.
Why there's a file named G2_Security on Zips with Custom Recovery?

for the bootloop did you installed hybridbootstacks that should get it going. i think
if not make sure you clean wipe, and install hybrid, then go to main menu reboot into twrp from twrp then continue to flash rom and gapps

Okay.
Going to flash it right now.
Another question, Do F2FS gives a performance boost in LG Phones? Because there's this post about a benchmark using EXT4 in one phone and F2FS in the other...
EDIT: G2_Security files seems to do nothing, just stands like a random file in my /sdcard/
EDIT2: Another question, what's better: TWRP or CyanogenMod Custom Recovery?
EDIT3: Ugh, Recovery with TWRP works but "crashes" on startup and goes back to android.

yes it does i guess a little performance but it does.
twrp from blastagator as it has thermal control so you dont heat up your screen and burn it or damaged.
not sure maybe youll need to go back to stock.
