Me too,I can not downgrade firmware MF8 because new bootloader has been update by Samsung.it's stupid from Samsung.
How can you guys do this?
The problems with MH8 have been all over the forum. Once you have MH8 on your S4 you are stuck with that firmware. You can't downgrade as there has been no fix released for the brummy bootloader Samsung forced into the newer firmwares( I believe MGG also is a problem)...
Don't try to or your next post will be something along the lines"ODIN failed in flash"....
I am on MGG but dont have sound, wifi or calls. I have tried flashing the MGG modem but it still hasnt worked. I am now flashing the modem with the MGG tar file....Any suggestions?

as far as i am aware there's no going back. just yet. but if you flash older firmwares they wont work . IE WiFi /sound / lots of problems.and you risk harming or bricking your device. hope this helps.

Interesting method there.
So what did you downgrade to after flashing MH8??
I really cant see how this can change your bootloader back though¿?
So you're still stuck with the same bootloader problem...........

Hello!
Please help me...
I just had this phone, Samsung Galaxy S4 SHV-E300L (Korean Variant), a week ago from someone I know. I received this with Kitkat 4.4.2 firmware. So, as I was using the phone, I noticed that it is over heating, then suddenly it will freeze, and the only way to turn it on again is to pull the battery. There's also an instance that the display will have scattered pixels, which I can see when I try to screen shot it. But will disappear after moving the display. After still trying to figure out what thing is probably wrong, I updated the firmware to Lollipop through Samsung Kies 3, but the problem still exist, I don't know now what to do...
Can you help me find out what can be the solution to this? 'cause I like this phone and it's precious to me!
Thank you!
It sounds like it has a custom kernel maybe over clocked. When you bout does it show a security kernel warning to left or is it blank?
Best thing is to go to samobile or XDA and download an Odin flashable firmware for you device. And flash stock then factory reset.
Its very easy you download Odin run on windows and boot into download mode by holding power volume down until you enter download mode.
Open the firmware you download in Odin in the PDA slot. The flash.
Glitchy pixels sound like your GPU is simply overheating

Factory reset will usually fix most issues

Start with performing a factory reset. Make backups of your files before doing so.

I'm looking forward to upgrade my A5 to russian Lollipop via Odin, the problem is if one day for some reason I need to downgrade back to KitKat, is it possible to downgrade? I mean if it is possible then does this recommended (to downgrade)? is there any consequences of this (like loosing warranty, bricked, etc)?
No, i would not recommend to try to downgrade. Several guys including me have hardbricked their device doing so.
also i hard bricked my device after downgrading.so you better dont do it

Be a Man and update it and downgrade it as much as u woold like me; but be smart and follow strictly the instructions. Sometimes, u will face problems that s how we learn to solve em. u ll need luck courage and a mind
I had already said in another post that this phone, more than others, has been a bit "tricky" and problematic.
also because of what has happened to others, do not. not that brick is sure, but is 70%
otherwise, try the new deodex http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/deodex-deodex-thread-samsung-galaxy-a3-t3174124
If you want to downgrade back to kitkat, you need to factory reset you're device including internal storage before you flash 4.4.4, if you encounter issues with no imei/baseband unknown. You will have to flash again.

I disagree. I downgraded both my A3 and A5 from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4 since that the damn lollipop is ubber laggy and keeps on freezing it.
Before downgrading make sure that you do a clear dalvik then wipe cache then go to odin mode flash it twice. The first flash even if its successful will boot loop your device. The 2nd flash will work like a charm. Mine is doing fine again.
hello
your phone doesn’t get bricked unless you try to “wipe data/factory reset” in ClockworkMod Recovery while trying to install a new ROM.

Ehm.... what the hell are you talking about ? Rooting and downgrading firmware is something totaly different.
I'm on the french 5.0.2. lollipop firmware at this moment, i downgraded a few times before from this lollipop firmware to KK (simply because root is only possible on KK, but then i find myself wanting lollipop again).
You want me to explain ? Well its simply firing up Odin and flash the firmware. Very simple. But this in on the SM-700F, not sure if its different on A3 or A5.
You tell me you was on 5.0.2 and you succeed to downgrade to 4.4.4 without brick, only with Odin and original 4.4.4 firmware ? I'm on french 5.0.2 and have SM-A700F too. ..

Yes, i told you that. And it works perfectly. Maybe you should try it yourself if you want to downgrade. Its very hard to brick a device with original firmware. You have to be a total idiot to do that like flashing firmware from another device or something.
But you have done that when the 5..0.2 was available on your country ?
---------- Post added at 10:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 PM ----------
Normally when an OTA or update is available officially it's impossible to return back to an old version

Ah OK I see. 5.0.2 is available here in France and I have done it OTA. So for me it's impossible to go back to 4.4.4.
I got a Galaxy Grand 2 from my friend running on Android 4.3.
I wished to try custom ROMs that can only work on KitKat Based Firmware.
An Application(Info Samsung) referred me to a Firmware of 4.4.2 with Kenya(AFR) Region.
I downloaded that Stock ROM and Flashed through Odin.
Now my phone is Running on Android 4.4.2 but I cannot get Network on my phone.
Can anyone help me for this problem??
you have to download that latest firmware where this phone is belongs to...

Unfortunately your phone may be unofficial or a cline .afraid you have to download a custom ROM or update manually. But I dot advice leaving KitKat to go to lollipop where it sucks out you battery and gives laggment
