A screenshot of download mode and odin would be better.
Sent from my SM-N920C

That reads as Odin has no connection to the phone .

check the adb shell, open up the command terminal, check for devices (>adb devices) if your phone device ID is showing connected then the issue lies between Odin or a block somewhere such as anti-virus. Make sure that the note 3 is showing connected via usb & not through wifi port also.. they can conflict.

[Q] Odin Firmware Recovery Kitkat failed

Hi,
I am really new to this and basically stuck without a phone (noob move I know).
I wanted to upgrade to Kitkat and downloaded N9005XXUENB4_N9005DBTENB1_DBT and odin v3.09.
I started up in download mode and got the following failure:
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
How do I restore so I can even just start my phone. Currently I only get the error saying upgrade failed- connect to Kies. But I again being noob never setup kies backup before.
PLEASE PLEASE help.
Where do I get a stock firmware recovery to reflash

Flash NB4 again but this time also flash this pit file and check repartition. If phone is getting stuck at samsung logo upon reboot, boot to recovery and factory reset.
Well first what your model, this is n9005
is your download complete, did you have the drivers installed (kies installed but you need to kill it - in order to odin to work without issues)
go through this, page, it has detail procedure in odin flash of the same ROM.

@antz69 , hope that helps.

[Q] Odin All threads completed (succeed 0 / failed 0)

Using Galaxy S5 US Cellular SM-G900R4
Installed updated drivers to PC (Win 7).
Downloaded Odin3 v1.85 & CF-Root for SM-G900R4
I attached a screenshot of what I get when I put it in download mode and click Start.
I made sure USB debugging was enabled, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and tried again.
I get the same message.
Any thoughts?

I'm tring to root my Note 3 SM-N900 with cf-autoroot, but Odin get stuck on cache.img and the phone is bricked.
(usb debugging is ON, reactivation lock is OFF)

cs-autoroot for sm-n900 is for 5.0 only or works also on 4.4.2?
C'mon... There are numerous threads on the web regarding this. Do you even read the instructions, or just download stuff and flash it ?

I had the same problem when I try to root this phone with Odin, I dont know what to do with that and I'm thinking that you can help me
I know that my English is not very good but you have to understand that because I'm from Poland and I'm still learning it
When you are in Odin do you see that it actually shows that there's a successful connection? I mean look at the white status box at left hand side, does it say 'connected'?

Go to developer options and on OEM unlock and then do ....
I came across the same issue.
Solution:
1. Remove all google account from your device.
2. Disable screen lock.

Ocotplus will help me?
Just boot your phone in Download mode ( Power Key + Home Key + Volume Down Key)
Then try to reinstall stock rom on your device..
Stock rom is needed to be same on region..
Install it with help of odin.
It successfully works..

Repeat the install process with Odin,
keep ur fingers on the Vol. Up and Power buttons (not pressing them),
click Start and just before it's finished flashing push and hold those buttons until TWRP logo appears,
release and wait for loading to finish.
Hope that helps
(sometimes u have to also hold down the Home button along with Vol. Up & Power buttons)
