Internal error s3 neo - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
Recently I rebooted my phone and noticed that it took extremely long to boot. As soon as it was powered on I got a pop-up saying there's an internal system error. At this point I have no hope of fixing it, because all my app data is already gone (for example: whatsapp needs to be set up again, game data lost, etc.) But I do wonder what it means, and if there's a way to prevent it. I also made a logcat, but I'm not sure if it's the correct type (it's really long). Here's a screenshot of the error message: https://imgur.com/zd6kM3z

Do a factory reset if this wouldn't work then try to flash a new stock room through odin.

Thanks, but i know how to fix it. The message already explains it, and since i lost most of my data anyway there was no reason to stay on that rom. I was just wondering if anybody knows what it means and how to prevent it next time around.

[Q] Prevention information

Just received the following notificatin;
" Prevention Information
An application has been forced to stop for unauthorized attempt to access system in your device"
I push the OK -button and find myself in Application manager. No instruction about which application or what to do?
l have ran the AGV virus scan. Clear all the data in the Boat browser. Rebooted my Note 3.
... and the notification message keeps coming back...
any help / comments?
Is your phone rooted as this is a knox warning to tell you that an app that isn't approved to use the system directory is trying to... Look at what you have installed as is(probably) an app you will have installed recently...

I have the same issue. It started about 3 days ago, and I hadn't added any apps in days. My phone is NOT rooted.

Same issue. I have no idea what's causing it. Anyone have any insight on this yet?
My phone is rooted with CF-Auto-Root, I have the same warning.
When I tried the disable "Security Updates" via "Root Uninstaller" the phone will become so slow that it requires a reboot.
I tried using "Freezer" to freeze "Security Updates" and "Knox" but the "prevention information" message still appears.
Research on this topic only shows "ANT+ service" possibly being the application
Same issue here. Started 3 days ago too. I didn't install anything

Not rooted & no new apps installed...
It just started and came from "nowhere"
It appears this problem is cropping up everywhere and isn't necessarily tied to any particular app/service except something with SELinux.

Wasn't Android and Linux supposed to be an open platform?

[Q] Unfortunately, Samsung Hub has stopped!!!!!

Hello guys,
In advance, thank you for your time and help. Here's the deal. I am fairly new to the rooting business. I did a root using Towel Root. I had everything correct on my phone( regarding Super SU). I started messing around with Wan am Exposed and some other rooted apps. Long story short I did something do take auto rotate off of my phone completely unless it was forced through(as it is in the Netflix app.) I started to back everything up with the intent to just completely reset everything and start fresh. Well when I did that, I now get the Unfortunately, Samsung Hub has stopped working. It literally pops up again once I hit OK. It is making my phone completely unusable. I believe I may need to re-flash my binaries but I am not 100% sure. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!! :crying:

I have the same problem and it is extremely frustrating because the popup never goes away, it keeps popping back up making the phone useless. I managed to get it to quit by rebooting several times but eventually it comes back. I have rooted the phone with Towelroot but I don't think that is the problem. I have not changed any of the factory apps but I did install and then uninstall a couple of apps that I didn't want. I've read about this problem on other forums so I know others are also experiencing this problem. Hopefully someone with come up with a solution soon.

Thanks JD,
I've thought about ODIN but not sure what to do with it.
A little tutoring would help.

I think I found an easier way using Titanium Backup. I found Samsung Hub in the list, clicked on it and then hit the highlighted Restore button. It is probably too early to tell if that fixed the problem. If it comes back I will post here.

Since I started having the Samsung Hub problem, my screen does not rotate. I've looked at everything I can think of to change that back to auto rotate. No luck and I'm assuming it is related to the Samsung Hub problem. Restoring Samsung Hub with Titanium Backup did not fix the problem. So either the auto rotate problem is not related or restore did not work. Anybody know how to get my phone to Auto-Rotate again?

Ok the problem is back.
I tried to uninstall SoftCard and the instant it started uninstalling that app, the "Unfortunately Samsung..etc." came back with continuous loops. I rebooted and now Softcard in downloading from play store??? And the Samsung loops are continuing. I am going to take the battery out and see if that will stop the looping. That worked in the past. This is getting frustrating
I know im kind of late but I figured it out. I updated my Samsung Hub app and it fixed that issue. Unfortantly my phone stopped reconizing my gmail aka i could not use my play store. It kept saying that I needed to check with AT&T to add data to my account, although I know for a fact I have data( I am on the unlomited data plan). Even connected to wi-fi I recived this error. To fix that issue I re-flashed my stock binaries. VHOLA!! All of my headachs were gone.

Just for future reference and my 2ยข, I personally think restoring apps is bad practice. For the exact reason you had to reflash. Especially ones that you can just download again, then change a few settings.
Thanks for the info. I've restored the Samsung Hub app a couple of times now and I don't seem to be having anymore problems. If it happens again I will update the app from Play Store

(XT1575) Moto X Style February Security Update Problem

Hi all
First I'd like to apologise if this thread already exists but so far I cannot find anything (please link me it if it does)(this is my first post as well)
I bought the phone a couple of weeks back. The phone had Android 6.0 marshmallow on it out of the box. The phone has been working perfectly up until today. This Morning i got a notification to say there was a new security update available. I downloaded the update (6mb) and installed it. I went off to work and when i took the phone out of my pocket it was rebooting. I waited for it to boot and after about 20 seconds of using the phone it became unresponsive, i.e. the screen froze, and a couple of seconds later the phone restarted. The phone rebooted constantly throughout the day when I tried to use it. When I got home I searched online for help but didn't find anything, although a factory reset can solve a lot of problems and so that's what I did. I setup the phone as a new phone but after about mins it froze and rebooted again. I have just turned the phone off and I am using a spare atm. I am considering a re flash of the software, however if any of you have had the same problem and have had an easy fix, please let me know. Any help is appreciated
Regards
TechGuy
It is odd that even after a factory reset it did this. Maybe try another factory reset and put your Google account on the phone but not any of the apps from Google restore. This will tell you if an app that you have installed is clashing with the new security patch or if the phones software is the culprit.

@TechGuy82 ... Go to the "General" thread (if you haven't already) the whole matter of installing the update is being thrashed out there.
Yeah check out the thread in general... Also just wanted to confirm that I'm having the exact same problem you are and have tried factory reset with the same results. I'm currently attempting a complete software flash with the CLARK_RETUS_6.0_MPH24.49-18_cid9_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip using the flash all bat

After the factory reset, the phone is rebooting before i can even set it up.
Same issue. I even rerooted and flashed a different rom and it will do it. going to try flashing back to stock before the update and see what happens.
I have the notice for this update - I am not rooted nor have I installed TWRP (I'd like to, eventually)
What I do need to know:
I don't use the phone like most do - services except for buying apps are not necessary. I have downloaded and paid for large data base nature and astronomy apps which a dumb phone won't run. I like speed on the phone so a program opens faster.
Given that - I have disabled 95% of the social type apps on the phone. I've disabled all the extras from Motorola. I don't use, want or need them. What will happen if I apply this update? I
1. Will it refuse to run if something is disabled?
2. Will it override disable and open whatever it thinks it needs?
3. Will it just install where it needs to?
4. Will it bugger the phone?
I just read through what's in Google services and I don't seem to need that. The only thing would be verification of a bought app from Play Store. I disabled Maps, Location, Hangouts, Photos -- There's better paid apps in Play Store and that's why I need to be sure that Play Services doesn't do the checks to see if you bought the app.
I like the feel of this phone, the performance and I love the camera. I just want to use it my way. If I could carry all my reference books with me, I'd use a feature phone. I like to take nature walks and birdwatch.

I have got answer for my own question.
It happens when before flashing in terminal type "fastboot oem fb_mode_set" , thats kind like bootloader force mode , when you reboot it always boots to fastboot. So after flashing i forgot to type "fastboot oem fb_mode_clear" to exit force mode.
Sorry for too many "reboot" words)
The only way I was able to resolve it was to do a full restore using this factory image. Leave it in fastboot and reflash. I tested before had wiping my sd card, removing my sd, wiping the internal, cache. Figured at that point easier just use a full stock image and see what happens.

Random reboots

I am on Android M right now and sometimes I have some kind of a weird random reboot on my phone... My phone is NOT rooted but the crazy thing is: it is like a soft reboot because after the rebooting process -> apps are still open (atleast in the recently opened apps tab) ... Does somebody have a solution or does somebody have the same problem? Is it a software problem? Thx in regards![emoji16]

The recent thing is just how it works in L up afaik, it just displays apps open even through a powercycle. You mainly need to try and narrow it down and figure out what the realm of the cause may be, then get a logcat, no root needed just setup adb.
