Had the same problem, I just got my play and this error showed up every five seconds. I had to do a factory reset although it came directly out of factory. If this does not help try I using a gmail account for the google services

I had successfully unrooted my son's google nexus 10 (passed over to me after he had the same problem given belowoin the rooted version) , using the tricks in one of the postings in this forum, flashed android 4.2.2 JDQ39 update and brought back to OEM lock state using fastboot.
After this android boots and i am able to login with my userid. Problem is, Google play is not accessible after unrooting, message is: 'unfortunately google play has stopped'.
Camera is also not working, it stops with an android message 'no external storage available' and another gray bar message at the bottom of the screen: 'mount USB storage before using the camera'. Why is this happening even after bringing back the OS to original state?
Could any of the experts give a solution to this? Without any apps to install and camera, (email, chrome brower and a few basic apps work), it is as good a paperweight now.

Best way would be to download and flash the factory image from Google and then everything will be back to normal. Perhaps clearing the caches and/or data of the non working apps might work?

Thanks for your quick reply. Tried what you suggested, reinstalled factory image from google, erased userdata and cache from fastboot, but the problem is still there.
Hi everyone, Just wanted to post this as I have found it to be useful for me.
I am sure some of you have seen this issue before or are experiencing it now. I have included a link to the youtube video.
what is the issue?
Recently after downloading the newest play store I started seeing an error message about unfortunately the process gapps has stopped working .
this was happening whenever i tried to add an account and when opening some of my apps including the browser and play store
.
it was annoying me but it would go away and the app would immediately open for me after so it was not that big of a problem.
I tried to solve the problem first by uninstalling updates to the play store in application manager
,
then by flashing roms and factory resetting
, however this did not help at all.
l
. finally last night at work my phone had three random reboots . my phone has never done that before
. I searched on google and found a very easy fix and once again my phone is like new
.
the fix.
settings/ application manager/scroll to left until you reach the all applications screen/ touch menu screen left of the home button/ reset app preferences.

Just wipe the data and cache, then flash rom and flash a new gapps package...there you go...:good:
Sure if you want to do a factory reset and are using a custom rom... I guess I didn't make it clear that this was for stock rom without having to wipe data. But to each his own whatever works

Hi,
trying to install blacked out play store, I have made a major damage to the original app and now it won't open, no matter which version I'm trying to install. Every time I press the shortcut, it crashes with "unfortunately this application has stopped working" message. I haven;t been able to find a proper .apk or .zip, any help?
Thanks!
If all els failed factory reset should fix the issue.

I am really trying to avoid a factory reset.I spent 16 hours in the last 2 days trying to install 4.4 kitkat and set up the tablet, I am sick of these things right now,
I need at least two things, the Google play services and the Google play .apk, i don't know if I'm missing something else.
If you can't do the time then don't do the crime ?. Always do a backup before testing new stuff or be a dear devil like me and start all over again ?
Please ignore my spelling mistakes, English is not my native language and i hate on screen touch keyboards.
Factory reset did not work, so I had to reflash and start all over again. Everything worked OK, until I decided to uninstall Play and install the blacked out version. This version worked for about 5 minutes and then it crushed. Since then, there is no version that is working.
I don't know what to say. May be version issue or may be the themer didn't only inverted the colors but changed some thing els that is breaking it or simplly new plsystore ur trying to use is not completable with your rom. Provide more info plz.
Please ignore my spelling mistakes, Thank You.

Well for me over on T-Mobile I either uninstall the update centre apk with titanium backup or flash a custom stock rom. But only problem is that say if something goes wrong example if you uninstall system keyboard and get forced to do a reset. On booting up you won't have the keyboard and might be in a jam especially when you need 1 to enter wifi password and mobile apn lol my t mobile g2 got an error and even tho I flashed back to stock the keyboard and a Lotta stuff I deleted are still not there and the phone senses it as an error and reboots after every 20 seconds upon booting okai good luck.

if you are able to flash roms then make sure you do a full wipe which is system/dalvik/cache/data. then install the rom. this should give you everything you have with stock including your keyboard.
Or you can just long press the notification go to app info and uncheck the show notification box

Hi everyone,
Recently I rebooted my phone and noticed that it took extremely long to boot. As soon as it was powered on I got a pop-up saying there's an internal system error. At this point I have no hope of fixing it, because all my app data is already gone (for example: whatsapp needs to be set up again, game data lost, etc.) But I do wonder what it means, and if there's a way to prevent it. I also made a logcat, but I'm not sure if it's the correct type (it's really long). Here's a screenshot of the error message: https://imgur.com/zd6kM3z

Do a factory reset if this wouldn't work then try to flash a new stock room through odin.
Thanks, but i know how to fix it. The message already explains it, and since i lost most of my data anyway there was no reason to stay on that rom. I was just wondering if anybody knows what it means and how to prevent it next time around.
