Flashing Stock Firmware failure - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

So after struggling with abysmal battery life, I decided I needed to downgrade to APC8 firmware in order to achieve optimal battery life, however I am unable to flash in Odin. I receive a SW REV failure fused 3 binary 2. Does anyone have any ideas why I might be getting this failure and is there a way to fix it?

Do you have the very latest ODIN version and are you following the steps in the firmware and other threads?
I hope Samsung hasn't thrown something in its updates that blocks downgrading....

I'm running the latest Odin, yes and I have downloaded the appropriate files for my device and carrier. I've done everything right. It just seems to fail. I'm not sure what the issue is.

I'm beginning to wonder if it may have something to do with when I used package Disabler in the past. Although I have since then factory reset and it seemed then that I got some type of error then too,. lthough it did allow me to reset.

Please told me your phone model and what problem is that? you flash the root file and the firmware gone?
It wont happen like that what have you flash please write more detail
It's a basic question that you should learned yourself before jumping into this.
Always learn what to do before anything goes wrong. Let this be a lesson for you.
The solution is really simple:
Just flash a stock firmware.

What baseband/firmware were you on before? If you had the MJA baseband and firmeware on up you can't downgrade to MF9 firmware

Your odin flashing sequence failed. Repeat the odin flash procedure with that screen up until successful. Make sure you're plugged into at least a usb2.0 port on your computer, and using the original usb cable that came with the phone.
If you're unsure of what baseband you originally had, your best bet is to flash the latest firmware
If you can't get the latest tar to install using odin, try to run cf autoroot through odin. It has been known to fix that error,
The OP should really come back online and let us know of he has been able to fix the problem.

He probably got it fixed or he would still be asking for help. But yeah would be nice to come back and say it's fixed and what he did to fix it

Does the bootloader and modem versions really matter?

Everything is working great, I am not seeing any issues at all.... but I am using Jasmine 6.1 which is based on OF1 lollipop 5.0. I had been running 4.4.2 when I unlocked the bootloader and then installed TWRP and then Jasmine6.1.
I was digging through my phone's status via the Phone INFO app and (not really surprised) that my bootloader was still NC4 and my modem was NK1 (I flashed the OF1 modem when I flashed lean kernel).
Like I said, all is working well... I tend to leave things alone if there're not broken..... SO.... Is there any reason I should update bootloader or modem?
Thanks in advance...
Don

I would advocate the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." approach.
Assuming you archive the various Odin stock releases so you'll have them in the future, you always have the option of rolling forward, but mostly won't have the option of rolling back.*
For earlier releases of firmware than what you are using (e.g. MJ7 and MJE) there seems to be an inability to boot stock kernels from later releases. And even non-stock kernels as well (I can't boot twrp-3.0.2-0-hltevzw-4.4 for instance, even though it doesn't have a "stock" heritage).
But I'm not sure this is a fundamental technical incompatibility or something that is merely sensitive to the kernel configuration options used during their builds.
It is a significant practical issue for folks on old firmware that might prevent them from using a "debloated" newer stock release, however. If folks who are willing to build kernels for us (I am trying OB6 and NK1 kernel builds with zero success at the moment) figure out what the technical issues are we might makes some progress here; if not the practical issues will remain.
But who is to say that something like this might or might not happen in the future to folks currently unlocked on "4.4" bootloaders? Keep those Odin stock bundles archived until you get rid of the phone!
* I realize there are some exceptions.
Yea... For now... That's my plan... Was just wondering if someone knew for sure one way or the other.

NOUGAT IN POLAND!!! DOWNLOADING RIGHT NOW, SO EXCITED!!!
I ve root..can i update normally or i have to download the zip and flash via custom recovery?
Working pretty well, seems to be a little bit faster than MM
Feels snappier now. It also supports the "fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0" command now too, so its the perfect replacement for specialized Nexus 7 installs.
So uh... if I have root, what do I do to get it to nougat rooted?
The stability/cuts with WiFi is better in this new ota?
Flash with full version ota with FlashFire it'll inject root and keep the TWRP recovery all in one shot.
Any idea for release date on LTE no-US model ? (RoW)
I didn't have the update
I tried FlashFire it got me stuck in a boot loop
Got the update notification as well! Downloading it right now!
Full for wi-fi k1 5.0

Need to get back to stock.

Hey all,
I am running one of JKRuze's ROMS and have been for over a year. It's basically a slightly modified, non-rooted version of Android 7.0. My spotify has quit working, and one of the final questions their support team asked me is if I am running a modified OS on my phone. ****. So, I need to go back to stock. I tried following a method on here, but it failed to Odin. Anyone know if there is a thread around here with best method to get back to stock?
ODIN is the only method i know, never failed for me. try downloading files again( personally using U firmware)
Where can I get the latest U firmware? I have not been able to find a reliable link.

Yeah, I went to that link from another post last night, and for the life of me, could not figure out how to download. I hate when sites do that. Hide the download link in some obscure location with a bunch of other buttons with the word download in big letters that just lead you to some other bogus garbage...

Thanks.. That link says it is for SM-G935U. I've got the SM-G935V, will it still work?
Please help. I thought I had installed stock, but now my phone will not connect to cellular data. Data link seems fine.
Update... Never mind, I believe I have it figured out. I did not add the BL, CP, and CSC slots via odin.
