Try flashing the stock kernel..
Most likely after you flash it
you will no longer have the issues you are now having now.
Good luck.

If it was my phone I would get the official samsung G938F S6 Edge+ firmware
and odin flash it.
After doing that chances are excellent that you will no longer have rebooting
issues or problems and your phone will work 100% properly.
If that don't work, I would guess the issue is due to hardware failure.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

If re-flashing the entire firmware package using Odin does not resolve the issue, then it may be an hardware issue. If that's the case, then I would advice you to hand in your phone to Samsung to get it fixed.

Hi, I'm kind of desperate here and hope you guys can help me: since about 2 weeks my phone is ramdomly turning off and then it just doesn't want to turn on, does it when it wants or shows the initial Samsung Galaxy S4 logo and turns off again, I mean it just goes dark suddenly, not showing the Samsung boot animation nor anything, it just goes black. Initially it was only when I turned on the mobile data so I flashed another modem but now it is at any moment, Wi-Fi, mobile data... Even in safe mode. At first I thought it was the ROM beacuse I was in Lollipop BTU but I've changed it about a million times with full wipes/factory resets each time and the problem stays. I'm starting to think it's a hardware problem but I can't tell and I have no clue. Thank you for your help guys. I'm currently on Lollipop stock 5.0.1 I9505XXUHOE1-I9505OXXHOD2. I've cleaned cache, dalvik cache, done wipe/factory reset and nothing. Thank you guys, I'm lost here. Sometimes it just doesn't happen and it stays working fine but somtimes it doesn't. It is not related with any app that I've noticed.
If someone with more experience can help be I would deeply appreciate it, really, thanks in advance, I'm kind of about to throw it against the wall, thanks a million.
Did you try another battery? That would be my first guess.

Apparently it was a software issue, I just flashed another ROM after wipe/factory reset and it hasn't turned off, right now it's restoring from titanium. The last time it started turning off after a few days tho...

It could be caused by Knox. If you root make sure to delete Knox.

Hello there xda.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM910F.
So what is happening to my phone is that whenever I am in any random app lets say reddit or even chrome for example. It will like freeze for a minute or two and then unfreeze.
In more extreme cases it will reboot.
So this happened randomly because I flashed a Stock unbloated 5.1.1 ROM from here back in december and everything was working smoothly and stuff. I had xposed installed and all my apps. Then in February it started with this random freeze/reboot. I had not installed anything else apart from what I had for the last 3 months.
So I restarted the phone, changed the battery and stuff to see whether that will fix it. However it didn't. So I formatted the phone (the soft type) just so I can install another ROM. So I tried another ROM, flashed the correct CP and BL and stuff and then just installed chrome and whatsapp. After an hour or two the same thing happened. So this time I factory reset he phone, like a complete wipe and I installed the unbloated ROM once again with few apps. Same thing happened...
So my last resort was to install Cyonagen Mod. After an hour or two same thing happened...
I don't know what is the problem. I read about some peoples phones emmc failing and thus the freezing, but I am not sure yet.
Please could you guys explain what I should do to fix this?
Thank in advance!
I have the same problem. Starting on mid january. I'm on stock 5.1.1 with root and twrp recovery
Tried backup and factory reset
I went back to stock after I factory reset the phone. And still had the same problems.
People say that its a hardware problem... So I guess I'll have to send it back to Samsung soon.
I think I tripped the knox. I just have to unroot and get it back once again to stock and send it back. I hope that they accept it.
i have the same problem. my model is SM-N910W8 and I bought it from 2nd hand, so no receipt and no prove of purchase.
can I still send it back to samsung to fix it?
same problem as you and now my phone died completely .
my phone was 4 months and he has not supported any longer he died naturally lol.
my operator gave me another free under warranty because the phone had a faulty motherboard and after several back galaxy note 4
This started happening to me a week or so ago and my phone just got stuck in a boot loop after it froze and rebooted. I'm on the latest stock firmware. Tried factory reset, reflashed stock firmware, nothing helps. It still reboots (sometimes it almost gets booted completely, other times it reboots after 2 seconds.

Many thanks. This was driving me mad for a few days, I had tried three different ROMS, completely wiping everything. I eventually went back to stock, which I'm still running and it was the same; it would run fine for a few hours and then start to lock up until eventually it would either reboot or stop responding and I'd have to pull the battery to restart it.
Just not selecting fingerprint security doesn't work, you have to force stop "Fingerprints" in Application Manager (All).
just do not setup the finger print lol. I was having those problemes too when I bought the note 4 until someone tell "do not setup the finger print" lol, not I'm a happy user.... I hope that android 6.0.1 solve the probleme

Still having the same issue around the same time everyone else started experiencing it.
I also was rooted and had xposed installed on 4.4.4 before the issue started happening.
Try the solution provided here & report back..

Hi.
I've had numerous nexus phones and generally dont have many issues however randomly today my phone entered a bootloop. I decided to completely flash stock firmware (how i normally solve issues but no matter what I do it just continues to bootloop.
I can get into Fastboot but thats it.
Any ideas or experience of this anyone?
Thanks in advance
Gave up in the end, couldn't fix it.
google replacing under warranty
Just had to do the same thing last week. Using Uber Partner app and when I accepted a "call" phone crashed and began bootlooping. Tried fastbooting stock image but ended with "Phone is Corrupt" message and continuous boot loop before replacing under warranty. I was running August update Benzo ROM. Never experienced anything like this before and I've been flashing for 5 years now. Sorry about your device, the new one in the mail will make it all better best phone ever!
Oh god... I think my device is doing the same thing.... I've tried flashing stock through fastboot twice now. Still saying my device is corrupt. Even tried a different cable, and redownloading the firmware.

This happened to me too the same day out of nowhere. Google sent me a refurb. Battery in this replacement seems much better. I couldn't even get into the recovery.

HI, i had enrolled for developers preview one month ago for Nexus 6P . Initially the device would freeze sometimes or applications would crash or it would reboot itself. However these were very rare and device was working fine.
However when i got official update the issues increased . Device would multiple times restart itself .
Since yesterday the device shuts down and reboots itself and gets stuck on google logo with black screen . Then after 40-45 minutes it automatically turn on and i was able to use phone. This happened multiple times.
I then did a factory reset and deleted all the aaps. Still the problem occurs . Today it has been on google logo screen for more than one hour .
Please advise what should i do?

As you allready did a factory reset i highly recommend to flash a MM OTA/Image to check if the issues persist. If so its probably a hardware issue.

1.) Wipe cache in recovery, see if problem persists
2.) Start in safe mode and use it extensively, see if problem persists
3.) Factory reset
4.) Reflash ROM either via ODIN or do an emergency reset via Samsung Smart Switch
If problem still persists, congratulations, you are victim of a hardware fault (like me, who had exactly the same issues) and need to give the phone to Samsung for repair.

What was the hardware issue? I mean is it the processor? Or a faulty battery?
Mine used to do the same thing..the only thing to resolve it was a factory reset..but after months of random reboots and freezing i left it in for repair..it was a faulty motherboard and since then its been running like it should..?
