I bought a Head Unit from A-Sure and i would like to change the firmware. Everyone talks about MTCB and MTCD firmware and devices. However, i have neither the one nor the other ?
Now i dont know what firmware can i take.
Please help me

I have the same one from A-Sure. It says it is a Android 5.1.1. I think they just painted it that way
I would like to flash malaysk image but I am not able to get to recovery.

Considering the MCU has the string "KYD" it does seem to be a MTCB/MTCC/MTCD unit.
Dunno how you can check for sure though, hopefully somebody with more experience with these units can chime in
Where you able to find any additional info?
I have the same unit, RK3188. How can I flash a new image on this??

I bought a second hand head unit off ebay for my Audi but it did not come with any instructions.
Googling the model MCU (MTCB-MX-V2.16) and Model number (S07) has very limited results.
The software and abilities of this system seem to be quite limited so I am hoping to update it. I found the page on here where I downloaded the MTCB-MX-V2.82 firmware update but I do not know how to do it.
Has anyone got one of these models? Can they help me to root/update please?

Hi you should look for the Xtrons PF75ATTA it is exactly the same as mine in my MK2 TT, it comes with Lollipop as standard so what you could do is contact Xtrons Support and say you have a PF75ATTA and you need the Factory Firmware Restore and they will give you it. It works pretty well and the DashCommand is frickin excellent any more info let me know im TTOC member under the username CAGED

I too am looking to root the TM705L. All that I really want to do is replace the startup animation with a custom one that I created to suit my vehicle (although it would be nice to be able to customise the home screen too).
As noobs, I suspect that we simply aren't asking the correct question here :-/

I'm also guessing that XTRONS is just a badge so if there are any alternative names out there or the name of the manufacturer, that would be a help.

As I understand, my unit is a little bit particular. Not as common as others. This is the reason why I try to identify the way to root it. I recently purchased a T3L head unit from AliExpress from a seller called "srnubi". All of their links directed me to another manufacturer called "jansite". However, neither the seller nor the manufacturer can provide me with the MCU and firmware for the unit that I'm looking for.
In addition, I'm also looking for the MCU and firmware for the T3L head unit to have as a backup for future use or for any updates that may be available. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on where to find this information, I would be grateful for your help.
I'm hoping someone out there might have some experience with T3L head units or know where to find information on their manufacturer, MCU, and firmware. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
