Just upgrade my phone to stock marshmallow 6.0.1 (XME) ROOTED + CUSTOM KERNEL
The fast charge option is DISABLE (I dont feel the need of using it)
However, whenever my phone shut down and charge, fast charge is activated on its on.
When my phone dies, I plug it in, the fast charge is activated. Turn it on, still activated.
Charging half way with fast charge disabled, turn it off, fast charge activated itself. Turn it back on, still activated!
This problem does not exist when it is on 5.1.1 lollipop.
Anyway I can disable the fast charging option COMPLETELY?
Why samsung has so many problem with their battery!?
Please someone help me.

I've read about ROMs where the charging icon won't turn on during charging, but the battery is still being charged...
Can you turn the phone on to check the battery status properly? It should turn on even if the battery doesn't work, as it'll be powered by the AC charger.

Same situation. My mini S was going bonkers back then as the screen no longer aligns when you shift to using to the keyboard and back. Forgot to recharge it as was frustrated not being able to use it properly and after that it simply won't charge anymore. Did the battery jump-start thing and even bought a new battery plus recharged the internal battery yet it still won't turn on. No LED red light or anything.
Has anyone come up with a solution yet?
my phone was charging. suddenly it turned off. now it wont turn on at all.. i have tried a different battery and still wont turn on.

are you getting the battery charging graphic on the blank screen or not. if not maybe umut offline charging is not supported. remove your battery and charge it in another phone or charger.
maybe you are just out of battery

I have a problem with my s5 in the last few weeks.
When I connect it to charger, it gets really hot. I checked under battery section and it indicates that my phone is always awake while charging (I didn't enable the "always on" option in developer options). The interesting thing is that when I restart the phone while it's on charger, after the restart it stops showing that it is always awake and the temperature drops drastically.
So, I'm guessing that when I connect it to a charger, something starts to use the processor, and after a reboot it stops.. I don't know.. Does anyone have a similar problem?
And of course, I flashed a new 4.4.2 stock rom and did a full reset from stock recovery, so everything was untouched, but it was still warming up. I was so desperate that I even installed lollipop, but the problem still occurs
I really don't want to reboot my phone every time I connect it to a charger, or worry about it charging over night!

I'm trying to charge my phone in slow mode after getting new feature to turn on/off Fast Cable Charging in Nougat update . Even if I on/off slider (enable or disable) nothing is happening. Phone charges fast like before in Marshmallow. It does not charges in slow mode even slider is off. I'm the only one getting this problem? Anyone tried this? Please share.

hello. after the update, sometimes the phone doesn't charge fast. normal and slow charge with cable or with wireless. if i reboot phone the charge come back fast. why this problem and is it solvable? thanks
Hello, when you go settings>device managment>battery>advances settings> the fast cable charging option is on or off? try to change from on to off or the opposite and restart your phone . might you have a custom rom that has that bug , or a custom kernel.
