[ROM] Liquid Smooth

Moved to Developer Forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507461
Hey guys, I'm working on porting Liquid Smooth to the N5110 and am gauging interest.
Any volunteer testers?
So far, I've ported a copy based on Note 2 using Sbrissen's CM10.2 as a base.
Here is the link:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23203820527943718
You will need to flash this then gapps.
Please flash at your own risk!
This is a test only.
I am currently trying to get one built from source too.
If I got the time, then I might be willing to test this. I'll inform you later if I'll test this

I'm only working on the n5110 as that is the device I have.
Here is the link that explains how to port. It's actually pretty easy if you're not working from source:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2370873
Hi there I have the n5100 when I get a bit of spare time I will try and have a go at porting it for the n5100 maybe in a couple of days I will let you know how I get on

I'm also trying to port from source-- which had been time consuming.
Here is a link to my github.
Maybe we can collaborate.

Okay, I may give this a try now
I assume this is android 4.3 and needs 4.3 GApps?
---------- Post added at 06:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 PM ----------
The ROM works great, the Performance control crashes and the first boot when google syncs/downloads the apps you have had synced with google didn't work for me(don't know if it's just me or all the devices), BUT downloading from Play Store works fine. These are probably the only bugs for now, will update when a new bug appears, btw nice rom I love it!

Yes 4.3 gapps. Paranoid android gapps work best.
Thanks for testing.

Do you want the logcat, I don't have time for parsing the error parts from it but I can upload the whole logcat in here if you need it
Gonna use this ROM for now-on, I really love it =)
Try posting this in the dev section, I'm sure you'll get more users interested that way. Good job!!
I just posted this in the developer forum:

The logcat won't do much good. I'm developing blind. Learning as I go.
Would you mind trying another performance app?
Maybe trickster mod.
Also. I've posted a link to the developer forum just now if you would like to continue questions there.
Thank you!
Charging my tablet in preparation for flashing, I'll probably test this out and post screenshots.

Do I need to wipe?

Hello. I know this should go in the android development area, but I can't post there since I have not posted 10 other posts yet...I have a nexus 4 and I installed CM10 using the installer that was available for a little while...It worked great, but I would like to update my nexus 4 to CM11 Snapshot M3. Do I need to wipe the device to do this update? I'd really rather not wipe it if at all possible....Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Anyone?

Going from cm 10 to 11 you should wipe. You could try not doing it but you'll most likely have problems.

[Q] Jolla Sailfish OS for Nexus 7 3g (Tilapia) ?

Is there a port of Sailfish OS to Nexus 7 3G (tilapia) model?
There is a ready built alpha image for Nexus 7 wifi (grouper).
Sailfish OS for Nexus 7 wifi by user junnuvi
The alpha version for grouper refused to boot on my Nexus 7 tilapia, while trying it with MultiROM. The installation went succesfully. First CyanogenMod Android and then Sailfish image, but when trying to boot the screen got stuck at Google logo.
Marko on the other hand has a detailed list of instructions in his blog to build a Sailfish OS image to Nexus 7 grouper. I tried to follow the instructions a couple of times but did not succeed. I am too beginner at compiling programs and there are too many variables to adjust when you really don't know what you are doing.

You can flash a grouper version of twrp to a tilapia and then install grouper roms but you will lose 3g ability. The process can be reversed.
And then maybe you could run the grouper version of sailfish.

Sorry to say, but no.
I was trying to install grouper version with MultiROM, so that might be the reason for failure.
Installation itself went fine and I did not notice any errors, but booting with Sailfish got still stuck at Google logo. Waited really long (15 minutes) for that google logo to disappear and then rebooted with power button but no luck this time either.

MIUI 8 Nexus 4- Any Interest?

I've been learning and figuring out how to port MIUI, and I have a general understanding of it, would anyone be interested in a port for Nexus 4? I do not have a Nexus 4 on the ready though, so it'd have to have others testing it.

What's the status?
I'm interested
Past monday I've made one version based on AOSP 6.0.1 from xda
I can't test it yet, because I've only one nexus 4 and it's used on my work.
I've tried to flash but, I can't, get stuck on the begining of updater script. I think it was because I'm on TWRP and I need to change to Clock Work Recovery.
I have no time to flash it beacuse I need to travel out from home this week. All rejects should be repaired.
If some want to test, i'll put a link to my drive. It's a heavy zip about 650 Mb, I think some apk's should be removed like FM that will not work on our nexus 4 but I can't do it today..

It's not a problem with TWRP, it's a rom size problem. Fullota.zip is too big and compatible with TWRP 3.0.2.
I'm reducing his size deleting sounds, apk's inside the zip.
I've made a first version that can be flashed (takes really long long time it's about 550Mb).
Unfortunatelly, boot begins, miui animation is charged, but get stuck with this message in logcat
11-09 07:24:07.017 186 186 E kickstart-qcks: File '/firmware/image/efs1.mbn'
was not found
E kickstart-qcks: Prepend failed.
Seems a problem with boot.img but don't know yet how to resolv this...:crying:
whats the latest news
I love you miui
Efs partition relates to the modem and radio I'm pretty sure are you sure its not that

How to resize system partition of Nexus 7 (2012)?

I would like to resize my Nexus 7 2012's system partition so I can install full GAPPS with a custom ROM, rather than nano/pico. All that comes up when I search however is for the 2013 model. How can I resize on the 2012 model?

I think that tutorial is for the Nexus 7 2013, it is similar to the one I saw on XDA for the N7 2013 and there are no Android 9.0 ROMs for N7 2012 AFAIK.

did you manage to install gapps? i tried with less than pico plus deleting stalk files from linage and still got error 70.
i am new new to installing custom rom. so i am a little afraid about changing system partition... somehow i like my nexus 7 2012 a lot, even though it's close to useless now
