Hey guys, I'm working on porting Liquid Smooth to the N5110 and am gauging interest.
Any volunteer testers?
So far, I've ported a copy based on Note 2 using Sbrissen's CM10.2 as a base.
Here is the link:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23203820527943718
You will need to flash this then gapps.
Please flash at your own risk!
This is a test only.
I am currently trying to get one built from source too.
If I got the time, then I might be willing to test this. I'll inform you later if I'll test this

I'm only working on the n5110 as that is the device I have.
Here is the link that explains how to port. It's actually pretty easy if you're not working from source:

Hi there I have the n5100 when I get a bit of spare time I will try and have a go at porting it for the n5100 maybe in a couple of days I will let you know how I get on

Okay, I may give this a try now
I assume this is android 4.3 and needs 4.3 GApps?
---------- Post added at 06:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 PM ----------
The ROM works great, the Performance control crashes and the first boot when google syncs/downloads the apps you have had synced with google didn't work for me(don't know if it's just me or all the devices), BUT downloading from Play Store works fine. These are probably the only bugs for now, will update when a new bug appears, btw nice rom I love it!

Do you want the logcat, I don't have time for parsing the error parts from it but I can upload the whole logcat in here if you need it
Gonna use this ROM for now-on, I really love it =)
Try posting this in the dev section, I'm sure you'll get more users interested that way. Good job!!

The logcat won't do much good. I'm developing blind. Learning as I go.
Would you mind trying another performance app?
Maybe trickster mod.
Also. I've posted a link to the developer forum just now if you would like to continue questions there.
Thank you!
Charging my tablet in preparation for flashing, I'll probably test this out and post screenshots.

Good luck Devs, make us proud
i want to try launcher it has all the features of custom launcher's available in market lets see how it really work
Sweet! Now can anyone might try to extract the system app files and attach or mirror the apks one by one so we might only choose what we want to use and or port ? Thanks for the link!
I watched the ICS event on YouTube. I'm so excited! And now the XDA Gods have a lot of work ahead of them, so I'm wishing them the best of luck!
Has anyone worked on getting worked on CM7?
Oh MAN I am excited to see what this community can do with ICS.
Happy coding, guys.

Currently the apps are Odexed, so they can't be conventionally installed or resigned. And the current iteration of Baksmali doesn't work with the deodexing process. I'm sure somebody will be able to do so or Baksmali will get an update to work with it. But it'll take some time, a lot of great things coming for Android nonetheless.

Its a good thing I did a search because I was just about to post this too. Looks like they already started the daily updates, the 27th just got released. I am assuming its just like the first release and we just flash both zips to install it. Sounds like its not the initial preview that was released the first day so it might be more functional. Who knows, not sure if I want to risk it right now.

can any1 post any changes they find
I really don't want to make flashable ZIPs every day, but I might as well. I'll make a nightly section today or tomorrow, but I'm really only going to do Maguro for now.

Just wondering, but on the daily downloads page there are zip files similar to the ones that I used to flash when it was first release. Can these be flashed in the same manor? Also notice that one of the them is a zip.md5sum file, assuming that one would need to be renamed to just .zip in order to flash. Not sure, I sent in an email to Ubuntu to clarify because there download instruction page does not talk about the zip files.

They're meant for the Ubuntu phablet-flash as far as I know. You need the IMG file, and that's not exactly flashable in CWM or TWRP right now.

Anyone want to start a thread or wiki who can keep track of changes that people notice. What apps are showing, what works, etc? Maybe a "change log" of changes noticed throughout past week or since the first dailies, if we have enough room. I would do this myself, but do not have the time to backup, flash, document, reload backup, update thread, etc.
But simply if i download quantal-preinstalled-armel+maguro.zip of the day and phablet.zip wouldnt it be enought to flash ubuntu?

I read on the Ubuntu-Touch mailing list that change logs will be implemented next work week (Mar 4th-8th) for the daily builds.
Thanks for that. I flashed the initial Developer Preview and then flashed a slightly newer build from this past Monday/Tuesday. Didn't notice any obvious differences. A change log would be really helpful.

Just finished flashing. I can't see any differences. Same fake tweets, same fake phone calls etc. I'll scratch around a bit more. Maybe they fixed some apps or something.

I am porting KK from Note2 to our International S3 i9300 because Samsung have failed our beautiful device.
Do Not ask for an ETA as all you need to know will already be in this thread.
TO DO:
modify our kernel to work on new KK build. ( 99% Done )
everything else is done And i am Now Just writing a new Update script And modify ramdisk is all to do alter that.
As soon as i have flashed And checked RIL Data And wifi work Ill release in new thread in dev section. Thanks
Wow great news All the very best bro. We are waiting
Awesomeness brother seriously hats off to all your efforts if im not wrong your the same guy who tested it and has also posted videos I really appreciate your efficient contribution and also understand the risk you took up by flashing a different device firmware watched both your videos as of now ril, wifi, storage isn't working and Samsung gave lame reason as ram consumption is high but in your video it ws somewhere around 500mb good going mahn all the best fingers crossed!!! isn't note 2 kk too big to directly install on s3 .?
do we need partition the sd card..?
Will be interesting to see how this goes. The hardware is very similar. Do they both use the same Wolfson DAC?

As i stated before no need for sdcard as my kk build is NAND compatible. I do not port a rom if it can work only from sdcard. This rom is stock debloated Note 2 firmware. All features will be Kept only use Less apps will be lost but most of apps will be flashed to /data so i dont have to remove so much

[UPDATE] Looks like things are wrapping up on the testing, so Deodexed Stock Rom is going to be posted here VERY soon. @tdunham has done amazing work again and he doesn't even have the phone
A BIG Thank You to everybody who has gotten to back to me and tested for us. Definitely couldn't have gotten so far without you guys volunteering your time and phones!!!
And for those who PM'd or emailed me about testing that i didn't get back to, I'm sorry as we already had a good amount of testers at the time. But thank you for being interested in helping out!!!
[UPDATE] Deodexed tests going good, native hotspot also included. Hope to have a good running one here for you guys soon!!! Also Xposed is working on this deodexed version :good:
Xposed Thread is here, save it and be ready
[UPDATE] After a couple tests, seem to be going good on an odexed rom. But would like a bit more help from any rom devs with a Note 5 lurking around here.
So if any of you masterminds are around and are interested in lending a hand, please message me on hangouts and I will get you all connected, it would greatly be appreciated. As @tdunham can only go so far with this since he nor I actually have the Note 5 to steadily work off of.
Thank You
I am talking with the great tdunham in getting together a deodexed rom so we can all get the extra goodies like xposed, (which has been updated to support Note 5), and what not working.
First off we need to get a running odexed rom running, so if you would like to help out in testing, please message me on hangouts.
Thank you for your time

Hello yoAeroA00,
Nice to see that more people become active on kernel and stuff for Nokia X2, keep up the good work!
But on your github page i see you asking people to keep your authorship, it is reasonable and right, but yourself you making squashed commits without respecting original code and commit authors.
This makes you kind of double-face, please respect others authorship if you want
same respect to yourself.
