What are the diagnostic ("secret") codes for the G935FD? The codes that I find online do not work for my G935FD, although I've seen them work on ordinary US-region models. My main goal is to find the G935FD analog for the *#0*# code that reveals a diagnostic menu, including a "Sensors" option, which when selected will allow me to calibrate the phone's internal magnetic sensor (which is used for compass-like apps, such as Google Maps). I know that I can achieve the same result by installing a 3rd-party compass app, but I'd like to be able to access the other selections on this diagnostic menu, let alone use the many other diagnostic codes that must exist for this model.
I've tried searching the Internet, calling Samsung-US (three times), physically taking the phone to a Samsung tech inside a local Best Buy, talking to a Samsung tech at the physical location where phones are repaired in Los Angeles, and looking for direct contact information for Samsung-Southeast Asia where this model phone is (supposedly) in widespread use -- all with no luck.
Does anyone here have the codes that work on the G935FD? If not, does anyone have any other ideas how/where I might get them? Thanks in advance!
You can use the compass edge bar. You can calibrate the compass from there
I think it depends on the firmware version. I bought mine in UAE and I can't make the codes like #*0*# to work. When I went back to the Philippines, I flashed stock UK firmware and now all the secret codes are working. By the way I also have 935FD. Actually you can flash the firmware of single sim variant 935f in 935fd and dual sim will still be working and it will still show 935fd in about phone.

I know it's a late reply, but without having to flash it with any other csc firmware or root the phone, you can actually enable most diag codes (including RIL test codes like *#2263# band change, *#2766338378# engineering diag menu, etc) on pretty much any model/firmware/region by simply plugging in a test cable into the phone (the other end doesn't have to be plugged in anywhere, it's just the built in resistor which enables diag mode). Open the dialer, closer the dialer with the Back key (not the Home button!), reopen the dialer and now it should accept most test codes. These cheap test cables can be found on Ebay or AliExpress, just search for "Samsung 523K uart cable" or "Samsung 619K uart cable". Some come as a combo where you can simply switch the resistor values via a switch, but you must try both values, since only one or the other will work on certain models/firmwares/regions.
I've been using this method successfully for many years (currently on my Samsung S7 with the latest 2019 firmware), unfortunately these test cables are only available for micro-USB connectors, so it won't work on the newer USB-C phones even with an adapter (because it doesn't extend the resistor lines, only the data lines). If anyone finds a solution for USB-C, please post a message here.

Bought a barely used S5 off ebay which supposedly was working fine. Everything else seems fine except it only connects in 3G and never LTE, and I live in NYC so it's not a coverage issue. Have gone through the network settings, restore, reset, took to Verizon store and they swapped in 2 different LTE SIMS. Nothing seems to make it want to do LTE. Is there a diagnostic tool or mode for a Verizon model? Seems they have locked out the internal diagnostic screens for the Verizon phones so none of the #* menus come up. Would like to try to get this one fixed rather than return it to the seller as it is a very clean and unblemished phone, but not sure where to start. Verizon store had no idea and since it was bought 2nd hand they couldn't do anything for me. Any ideas where to begin or how to access either a software tool or internal tool to test the radio?

Regarding diagnostic screen, you can use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app or Shortcut Master app, open Menu > 'Secret Codes' and scroll down to these secret codes to launch:
- 27663368378: Service Main Menu
- 197328640: Debug Screen
- 2263: Band Selection
Note: ROOT is required to launch the secret codes. It is due to Samsung security policy.
A friend of mine who works at Samsung gave me an S5 Mini (Samsung SM-G800X). He told me its only good for browsing, it doesn’t have the necessary hardware to use as a phone. It also came with Samsung Retail mode enabled. I’m wondering if it really is the case, that it doesn’t have the right hardware or could it be that I just need to flash it with the right firmware?
The Build Number was KOT49H.G800XXXU1ANG1_LLK
Android 4.4.2
I used the Phone INFO Samsung app and got following Info:
Hardware/Board: Universal3470
Platform/Chip: exynos3/xynos3470
Modem Board: SS222
Hardware Revision: Not Active
I managed to remove Samsung Retail Mode and flashed it with the closest Firmware I could find
G800FXXU1ANL1_G800FBTU1ANJ1_BTU
Before flashing there was not even a Mobile Network option under Network Connections. After I flashed it the option for Mobile networks is there.
But as before the phone will not connect/find a network with a working sim inserted. I know that the sim card slot works, because without a sim card it gives an message ‘No SIM’, this disappears as soon as it’s inserted.
Have I got it wrong, it really doesn’t have the hardware? It seems weird that the Modem Board is reported. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks
My knowledge is that models designated 900X do NOT have the radios to make a mobile connection, but CAN be used as WiFi only devices, so for instance Google voice will give you full functionality, but you'll need to be connected to WiFi at all times.

Ok, thanks for the Info
I recently messed up my GS4 pretty bad playing around in the hidden menu and clearing my EFS because my GPS was not working. Anyways I got my IMEI back, GPS, Domestic SIM unlock etc but the CDMA portion of phone won't connect to towers anymore. Turns out I also cleared the RF calibration that phone requires in process. I need somebody who has a working Sprint S4 & knows their MSL/SPC code to help provide me the calibration data so I can get my device up and running again on CDMA networks. I will also need somebody who is willing to participate in a TeamViewer session to get the RF cal info from the device because it requires use of specialized software licensed to me.
Please if anybody has a working sprint S4 and some time I would really appreciate it. I know it may be a lot to ask but it's only way I can think to fix mine & It may also allow me to repair others in future. In return I can remotely SIM unlock your Samsung device depending on the model for free. I use a licensed app called Chimera for Unlocks and Repairs which is also the reason I need the participant to install TeamViewer on their PC. There is no risk to you, your PC or the device I just need somebody who is willing to trust me and essentially loan me their PC with device connected for bit.
Requirements Needed to Help:
1. A working sprint S4 activated or not but at least able to receive cellular signal. Preferably one that nobody has meddled with in DFS, QPST, Hidden menus, etc.
2. Device in diagnostic mode using ##3424# > Qualcomm USB Setting > DM+MODEM+ADB
3. Device SPC/MSL code
4. Hangouts or similar
Thanks guys! I hope somebody comes through!
In have used S8 ports before on my SM-G925F with no issues, however since installing SAC23 rom 2 weeks ago i am unable to call one number (calls but call ends once answered), this follows all S8 roms, but it is resolved once moving back to stock via odin. No issues using helix rom.
Tried all the basics i.e. change SIM swapping to a different phone and the issue follows my phone only. Now.... i believe it could be the fact you verify your mobile number with your Samsung account on the S8 ports but not on normal S7 roms, am i clutching at straws ??
if i try a different SIM in my phone, i can call the number fine, issues is just when using my SIM (number) in my phone with a S8 port.
Any advise would be appreciated as i want to revert back to an S8 port but not possible until i can isolate issues.
Hi guys,
Been into android modification since 7 years but gave up since my last 2 phones. So i got this unlocked at&t galaxy s7 in uae and it worked like charm, the network and coverage. I then started usingthe phone in pakistan too and it worked well even here. So one day i connected to gear vr so that i can initiate the oculus data installation as first time setup but the gear vr kept on disconnecting automatically. I have used it before too but never had problem. Then i rebooted the phone and i find that i have no signals at all even though my sim contacts are being displayed and there is no “no sim” message on statusbar even. But dont have any signals at all. I then inserted my sim to iphone and it was working perfect. Then i inserted different carriers sims to s7 but yet they werent working even. I then cleared the cache, factory reset, cleaned the sim slot and the sim , but no success. I left ky ohone turned off for days andeven drained battery 100% many times to calibrate and perform hardware reset but no success. I then sent the phone back to uae for repairing from my friend as i thought that the antennae were the one’s responsible but before he even thought of disassembling the ohone, he inserted uae sim and it worked perfectly. Call and data were working perfectly. Any idea what is the problem? Kindly let me know pleaseeee. Is there any problem with frequency? Like gsm or cdma? But the phone worked before. I tried to enter the settings of manually selecting networks but there was error popup “No service and signal”. Signal strength 0asu -113dvm

Forgot to tell, my phone has never been rooted, i even tried to enable/disable “Enable hd LTE features” but no luck. Its on 7.0. Dont recieve OTA. Not blacklisted either. Pakistan doesnt have CDMA. I have even noticed it recieving weak signals compared to my iphone when the phone was working ok. And my radio is showing to be off and when i turn it on from the dial code menu. It doesnt keep turned on and it turns off automatically. I still have the imei amd baseband version. Dunno what the issue is.
Kindly reply guys

Settings>connections>mobile networks> apn settings or access point names
Manually enter your carriers information you'll have to ask them or look it up online sure its easy to find they might even help you in store
Its not good for you to buy these US phones outside of the US because changing CSC to INS/INU/PAK could prove to be difficult being it was never supported by snapdragon G930A model but only exynos G930F although it's not impossible
/system/csc/others.xml is where your answers are waiting for you unless you update to oreo then it'll be in /system/omc/cscfeature.xml and cscfeature_network.xml
You will need a root file manger to be able to see what I'm talking about then you will have to figure out what those "strings" mean
Unless you want to mod and figure out make your phone awesome just flash other US firmware that uses gsm network only i think ATT only uses gsm and you can root to debloat ect.
Here's a method for rooting
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616/amp/
I'm sure there's people in your surrounding area that are into androids and rooting that understand and can help you figure things out if you know any one woth a G930F/G935F INS/INU/PAK thatd be awesome. If your imei number is truly gone from your phone its should still be on the back of the phone
I know this isn't the best help but you aren't the first post I've seen of Pakistanian with US S7 tryjng to figure it out.. idk if he ever did but if you learn you can help others as well
*note: when I say change csc I don't mean flashing firmware in odin, that is impossible. I mean porting it yourself with root like in the link below this one
*another note: I am not saying use the link below as anything other than an example because again that link was developed for Eynos phones and not your snapdragon so it probably wouldn't work but just so you have an idea of csc
forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-30-t3392957/amp/
