Issues since moving to s8 rom - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

In have used S8 ports before on my SM-G925F with no issues, however since installing SAC23 rom 2 weeks ago i am unable to call one number (calls but call ends once answered), this follows all S8 roms, but it is resolved once moving back to stock via odin. No issues using helix rom.
Tried all the basics i.e. change SIM swapping to a different phone and the issue follows my phone only. Now.... i believe it could be the fact you verify your mobile number with your Samsung account on the S8 ports but not on normal S7 roms, am i clutching at straws ??
if i try a different SIM in my phone, i can call the number fine, issues is just when using my SIM (number) in my phone with a S8 port.
Any advise would be appreciated as i want to revert back to an S8 port but not possible until i can isolate issues.

Emergency calls only

Hi everyone,
A first time poster here. Please forgive any irregularities on my part.
I have a Samsung galaxy y and have been having "Emergency calls only" problems. I have been receiving this message intermittently. Sometimes I am able to register on the network but most of the times it is in the above mentioned state.
I tried the same SIM in another galaxy y set and it was working fine. I tried different working SIMs with my set, all giving same problem. So I concluded that set is faulty.I concluded that since I am able to receive signals even though only at times, that my antenna and receivers might not be faulty(not sure about this ).
I have tried all methods known to me so far - hard reset, IMEI blacklist check. I have not flashed ROM as I am not sure whether it will help or not, I do not know how to do it either.Any help regarding this would be highly appreciated. :fingers-crossed:
Its some hardware problem .....may b problem in RF/antina switch ....... PlZ contact your Service Center......
Flash stock firmware one time....

Samsung galaxy note 3 N9005 - Emergency calls only.

Hi XDA
So i came across a very serious issue 2 days ago basically rendering my phone almost useless as calling is very important to me.
I have been running purify CM13 rom on my samsung note 3 N9005 Snapdragon flawlessly for 2 months and out of the blue yesterday my phone displays Emergency calls only- then my service provider name, i tried the sim in another phone and it worked i also tried other SIM cards form other service providers in my phone and they all show the same thing but the phone can actually identify the network provider also when i remove the sim it says no sim inserted.
Hours upon hours of googling and troubleshooting and still no luck in fixing this issue whatsoever. I tried a lot of stuff like resting the APNs, manually setting the network, Switching form 3g to 2g and even wiping my device and flashing the newest version of the rom again but the problem still presists.
At this point i have no idea what to do, any help is appreciated.

G935V on Android N 7.0 issues with receiving calls/texts [Total Wireless]

I have been going through a weird issue on Total Wireless. When I use Android 6.0.1 and below, I have no issues with my service at all, everything works as it should. The issue comes into play when I use any Android 7.0 ROM, be it official or custom. Outgoing calls/4G data are fine, but I cannot receive any phone calls or send/receive texts. The only way for me to be able to receive calls and send/receive texts is to dial out once. After this, everything works as it should, that is until I reboot. Then I it goes back to the partial working state until I dial out again.
The issue persists whether I am using CDMA/LTE or Global Network modes. I have tried every single possible combination of starting with a fully working 6.0.1 firmware and upgrading through Smartswitch, with and without a full Wipe performed afterwards, doing a full 7.0 firmware flash. The issue is always present, and I am not sure if TW has issues with Android 7.0 or if there is a problem with my account. Their CS is absolutely useless in helping me with the issue, and our chats always end with if I can make a phone call, then the issue is resolved. They don't understand that the issue is still present, but it only crops up after a reboot of my device.
I have tried 3 different SIM cards and they have deleted and re-added/reprovisioned my device/number to their system but nothing seems to help this issue. APN is the usual TRACFONE.VZWENTP. It's really weird that it happens on two separate devices that I activate with my mobile number.
My only thought as to what it could be is maybe some weird provisioning error with the number coming from Verizon. Total Wireless doesn't have any type of VOLTE capabilities on their network, yet I was able to use a rooted Note 4 device and activate Advanced Calling/HD Voice and I believe Wifi calling as well and use it fine on their service. One oddity I noticed is that when the phone is in the initial 'Searching for Service' state on a fresh boot when I dial out while connected to Wifi, sometimes I will see Mobile Network Type change to IWLAN, whereas it usually says LTE. After dialing everything works correctly.
Any ideas on further troubleshooting steps I can take? If nothing can be done, maybe there is some way I can have a boot up script that makes a ghost phone call to any random number and immediately disconnects so I don't have to remember to dial out whenever I reboot my device?
Thanks
I don't have a solution yet, but you're not alone. I have a stock G935V (running Nougat) with Tracfone service running over Verizon's network. Whenever I start up the phone, the phone will indefinitely remain in a "Searching for Service" status until I initiate one phone call. Then the network instantly switches to "Verizon Wireless" and everything works correctly for as long as the phone remains on.
A long phone call with Tracfone and Verizon yielded no solution: They indicated everything is configured correctly in my account. Various replacement SIM cards didn't change anything either.
This issue happens with both stock Samsung S6 phones and the Samsung S7 phone in my household. All are running Nougat.
Any update here? My girlfriend's phone has the same issue since moving from Verizon to StraightTalk.

Tracfone tried, half-heartedly, to solve the problem by sending me 3 different sim cards. The problem never went away. I just got in the habit of initiating a call to voicemail whenever I restarted my phone.
The problem went away when I upgraded my S7 Edge to Android v8 Oreo.
I have flashed the Nougat "U" firmware on my Verizon S7 Edge. I had VoLTE, hotspot, HD voice when calling someone on Verizon (but the HD symbol doesn't show on my dialer, only on theirs).
Only issue was that. when I introduced the TW SIM, the APN was auto set for Tracfone (and it wasn't working), so I had to manually change it to the TotalWireless one.
Since then I had received the Oreo upgrade and the following security update... and it's still OK.

NO 4G on any sim

Evening all.
I have a Nexus 6P which i used on o2 4G for 2 yrs straight without any issues, when i got my new Pixel 2 i put it away for future use.
I have now come to use the phone as a works phone also on a o2 sim 4G sim but cannot get any 4G on the phone, yet i can make and receive phone calls just fine.
I have tried the works sim in my Pixel 2 which works fine and also tried my personal sim in the Nexus 6P which doesn't work.
I have tried various different APN settings plus as it would be a company sim i have tried various ip addresses as well.
Last night i rooted the phone and loaded TWRP recovery done a backup and loaded resurrection rom but this has not worked either.
Has anyone come across this issue before? if so have you managed to resolve it?
Also
I read somewhere about something to do with baseband modem but cannot find it anymore is this something i should be looking into?
I would appreciate any help there is.
Thank you.

Verizon network issues on AOSP ROMs

I've done a lot of reading on this topic and have yet to find a clear solution. It seems that others have very similar issues, some resolved and some not. There are lots of promising fixes out there but none that I have tried work for me. I'll describe the specific issue below, but first:
What I'd really like to know is if there is anyone out there still using a G900V with an AOSP rom and verizon service? Does the service work reliably? just like on stock LL or MM ? Is there hope for me to be able to use this phone as my daily? Now that I've had a taste of AOSP, I can't go back to MM or LL. The only reason I've held out for so long is that the S5 has removable batteries, is modifiable (thanks XDA devs!), and is now very cheap to replace. But could it be time to throw in the towel...?
The issue is, verizon service on any AOSP rom that I've tried, is unreliable. It works some places and not others. This is not just reception - I'm comparing to the same phone running stock MM or LL firmware, and these are all in metropolitan areas, the service exists for sure and has for years while using stock rooted LL rom. At my house for example, data works, mms, sms, and calls work (although sms are delayed). 4 blocks down the road, I only get data. No sms, mms, or calls can go out or come in. On a road trip recently and I get similar unreliability with the sms and mms. Fortunately, data seems to work most places which has allowed me to continue using RR-7 pie and not be totally in the dark.
It's similar to this issue here (roaming indicator off) and I have tried all of the things on the OPs list with 3 different CID15 phones (G900V): Different ROMs, changing APN settings, restoring QL1 EFS, changing preferred network types, different sim cards, etc, etc

My knowledge of how it all works is limited but it seems to me like there is something about the AOSP roms that doesn't allow the phone to connect to the right bands? frequencies? protocols? As I do get some of the network functionality. If I TWRP flash back to stock MM (which I have done many times) it works perfectly, everytime, everywhere.
