Hi all,
Been trying to install knox. I get to entering the code and choosing the apps then it says setting up secure space then I get the following error.
Licence failure
Cannot connect to server please try again later.
The phone is not rooted was purchased from the Samsung store and is UK unbranded. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Your phones software has been modified (it says custom) thus the Samsung servers will reject your device.
It may be that the phone has/was rooted and/or the ROM is heavily customized
You can restore your phone to factory conditions if you search the forums for information regarding this.
Be advised to not flash anything that will bring your phone to factory stock android 4.3 or you will or may activate KNOX which will permanently aggravate you.
Plead search the forums for more details.

Hi,
Can't backup to Samsung account because servers are not available.
I checked last week and today - same error.
Removed and added Samsung account- the same. Can't backup/restore/or check cloud storage usage.
Does this feature work?
Maybe Samsung stopped providing cloud backup service?
Thanks!!!
Anyone?

I've been able to use their backup process. Used it yesterday when I wiped my phone to flash MM. After setting up my fresh install I signed in and all my backup data worked perfectly
That's strange.
I asked some other locals and they confirmed that it doesn't work.
Anyway I will check again after update to MM.

Hi guys when I launch the camera is get this message. Is there anything I can do? Is it a common bug?
It worked yesterday but not today, I have the warranty route but it's a pain being with the phone.
Any help appreciated.

OK factory reset fixed the camera.
Now I realise that the device status is custom so I can't download load ota updates. Will a stock firmware flash via odin return status to official and allow ota updates again?
I purchased this off ebay and seller never said anything about this.

I have downloaded the latest BTU firmware, but when I extract it I get 5 files rather than 1. In odin there are only 4 spaces to add files.
In the past when I have downloaded firmware from sammobile and extract it I get just one file that I place in AP slot of odin.
Any help appreciated.

I just flashed my firmware to Spanish AMO and noticed I'm unable to use Samsung Pay because it is region-locked. I was wondering if I can just attempt to side load Samsung Pay onto my phone or am I S.O.L?

Yes you can. Wipe the app data and update via the latest APK on apk mirror.

I am in France and had a friend visit and we decided to flash his t-mobile note 4. Unfortunately I forgot to disable the lock in settings. I tried to find the rom to flash it back to normal and now I either get a boot loop or frozen on the galaxy note screen. I only noticed that the lock was on when I went into download mode and saw activation lock was enabled. How do I fix this. He is leaving to go back to the US in a week. Does he have to go to T-mobile to fix it. It is out of warranty. Any help will do. This phone is not stolen and if need be I he can prove it is bought by him. But it would be great if I can fix this for him

You can do the emergency firmware process in Kies to fix it. The phone will be wiped in the process, so hopefully you made a backup.

I tried that but it keeps asking for the restore code . I never see or know where to find the code. I think I tried it once but it failed at 90%.
