My issue originally was I was on cm13 5/24 everything was fine then I upgraded to cm13 5/30 and my fingerprint stopped working. I tried a clean wipe, going back to os 2.2.1 and same my home button/fingerprint wouldnt work, I couldnt register fingerprints. I kept getting "fingerprint hardware not available", I just wiped again and went to oxygen os 3.0.1 and now my home button is working and vibrating but when I try to register a fingerprint I get this new error. It actually lets me enter once and then fails. But I feel it vibrate and home button is working so I'm closer hopefully. What else can I try next to get my fingerprints working again as I dont think my home button is completely hardware failure now.
Wait to gets fixed by itself,
Also avoid humidity, like wet or sweat hands

Alright, so here's my problem. My touchscreen won't response to any finger movement. I could press the hardware buttons like power, volume and talk and it response to that but my problem is mainly trying to get inside my rom. I tried flashing rom via NAND and via clockwork mod and nothing helps. The G Sensor seems to work just fine because it rotates the screen when I'm inside my ROM. I could go back into MAGLDR but I don't think anything there is going to help?
Has anyone else experience anything like this and if so, what did you do to solve it?
had same problem, found a FIX
i have had same problem past couple of days. i was running darkstones SuperRAM_FroYo_V1.5 build with oz 2 cleanex rom. i know that every now and again it would be a pain to unlock the device with the agonising wait for the lock screen to show up but this time the touch screen would not work at all not recognising any movement and not dragging the unlock button across. i would have to take the battery out and restart, even some times touch screen would fail completely when in winmo too, got to a point when 3 days of working then not working and taking the battery out a million times to boot back into android to unlock the device, then touch screen died completely.
FIX- Hard reset
will reset windows mobile. all data on device will be lost.
hold down up-vol key and down-vol key, soft reset button and then power button till it displays formatting screen. follow on screen instructions.
hope this helps.

I have this problem and have found no way to fix it, I have tried everything except possibly going to the clk loader instead of magldr. when i put the phone to sleep with the power button is when i have the issue of not being able to unlock my phone in Android. I have tried task 29, going back to original windows roms, sd and nandroid, it is a hardware issue related to the digitizer as far as I'm concerned. I love my HD2 and really need to fix or find another one. I know this doesn't help, but maybe a little more insite if nothing else
I had the same issue. With my 1st HD2 it started as an intermittent problem, then eventually completely stopped working. With my replacement it just started to happen again. I immediately flashed back to stock tmo windows and the touchscreen would work so long as I did not try and put the phone on standby or wake the phone using the end key. If the phone went to standby on its own, the touchscreen would not work either. I changed the settings so that the phone would not go into standby at all. I then learned that locking the phone from the windows menu and allowing it to go to standby that way somehow averted the touchscreen problem. After 2 days, the problem seemed to resolve itself, almost completely. If I try and wake it using the end key, the touchscreen still wont work, but every other button on wake works. Also, putting it in standby with the end key seemed to not cause the problem any longer.
I dont know if the issue varies per person, but what worked for me was going to stock windows for a couple of days, then starting over with android. I guess it depends on how far along the problem has progressed.
Look at my thread in my Sig about the Unresponsive Screen Solved. This sounds exactly as that. And there are various workaround solutions through out the post.
Hi, I've been using my op2 for 2 months without problems. But yesterday my home button, also fingerprint sensor suddenly became unresponsive. I'm currently on Oxygen os 2.1.2. Still trying to search, but there is no reasonable solution. I wish its not a hardware problem, because returning process will take too long. Any solutions?
Try keeping it away from any water/moisture for a few days. That means no taking your phone in the bathroom while you shower. That's how I temporarily fixed mine, everytime I got moisture on or around the phone it would break for a day or so then work fine. Unfortunately mine is 100% broken now and like you I don't have the time to go through the RMA process. I prefer in screen keys anyways. Good luck!
That's it. I pressed with my wet finger on it. After that it stopped working. I'll try to dry it with hairdryer. Thanks
My home button started working again. I put it in a rice for 12-14 hours. It didn't work again, i was going to return it. But few minutes ago i pressed power button for 10 secs, then reboot it to fastboot mode, then redtart. Voila, home button started working. I don't know which one triggered it, but it works ???
lucky guy

Are you sure that the button is actually dead? I've read of a lot of people having the issue whereby the home button stops responding, and I've actually had it happen on my OPT twice myself and it's not been the hardware...
Two quick things to try (if you haven't already)
1) Try a force reboot of your phone (fixed my issue the first time it happened to me) - by this I mean press and hold the power button for ages, until the phone eventually just powers off immediately (without going through the shutdown process) and then power the phone back on.
2) Not sure if you have rooted your phone, or have a custom recovery (TRWP) but if so try wiping the Cache (not the Dalvic / Art Cache, but the other Cache) and reboot (fixed my issue the second time it happened to me).
Hope this helps.

If you have followed all the software solutions, still under warranty then RMA.
I faced this issue once, fixed it pushing around the sensor with my finger nail I did push really hard until it change to home screen it was 6 or 8 week's ago, haven't failed since

None of above have worked for me. I've a rooted A2005 running unofficial CM 13. A couple of days back it just stopped working. I thought it's a bug in the ROM. Changing and clean flashing the ROMs didn't fix the issue. Then I realized it's something serious as I remembered that it may have got some moisture when it was inside the chest pocket of my shirt and I got sweat due to some physical hardwork. I'm still not sure though as to what caused the problem.
I would really appreciate if somebody comes up with a solution. Yes, pressing hard the home button has not worked for me either.

could really be the moisture like u said.

Recently i was using my OP2 which has completed 11 months and 23 days. And now i'm receiving a very weird issue with my home key. Whenever i touch home button it keeps on vibrating and keep on continuing press home button even after the my finger is released from the button. For instance.. i pressed my home key and gone in settings the home key will vibrate and automatically bring me back the my homescreen, No matter where i'm or which app i'm using the home button keep on getting pressed automatically and repeatedly ! i have already tried doing clean flash (Full Wipe), flashing OOS 2.2.0 and OOS 3.0.2, and some other roms, but sadly none of em work. It's definitely not a software issue. I thought it may be something grounding issue, but no matter even if i keep my phone on a flat surface but it was same as before, getting press repeatedly. Please someone help me!!
You probably should replace the home button, seems to be a hardware issue...
But first, even if your home button isn't dead, this might help http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-oneplus-2-home-button-dead-t3324321

But I dont have a service center here in Pakistan
There is a serious touch issue problem in this version
Its a software related problem
Touch process go in deep sleep and will not wake up from sleep function unless you trigger it by switching wake up by fingerprint wake up and power button with pin unlocking couple of times.
Now what drives me crazy its that clean hard reset doesnt matter this days. I came to conclusion that clean install from andriod version will actually do a real clean install. Switching between android versions will do a real clean install. From android m to android n back and fort. Now im not sure if touch issue is a left over from b06 to b11 to nougat b02 by ota. Thats why im saying that hard reset doesnt matter now days. I will also test if issue is between light sensor and fingerprint sensor. My observation is from switching between wake up states fingerprint from black screen power button pin entry and power button fingerprint wake up states. It works every time when touch stop working. For hard reset part it will not work one hard reset but couple of them. Which is also a contradiction because touch process doesnt have any settings after hard reset. This is a logical observation.
I use poetic case with screen protection built in and this is also a possability that touch is not calibrated like it was in andoird M.
I will appriciate if someone could tell me service mode code so i can test touch in service mode like there is for some other phones

This is not related to B02. This is just a problem that you have in your specific platform. I believe that the only surefire way is to use MiFlash and flash the Russians' B10 (or Nougat, whichever you like) build from EDL. that way you'll get a working Android on your phone.
I updated to Spanish b05 and it works fine. No issues anymore with touch. Did also a hard reset. But you are right. Flashing with Miflash is more appropriate clean install like any other flashing tool for other respective devices
