Flashing the NK1 firmware onto a T537V with OG1 installed results in an error at aboot.mbn.
On the boot screen i get,
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 3 > Binary 2.
my guess is that this is not possible without a modified aboot.
anyone had any luck with this?

I don't think there is any development on this device. We can only root with king root. Now if any one pointed us to a good guide on what to debloat or even if we can install a romantic from a different device that what would be great? So in a nutshell we probably can't downgrade

I am having difficulties in rooting my device. Tried several types of root for couple of days, non worked. Now I need some help.

I have tried so far on Odin:
CF-Autoroot
Philz Touch
Both returned successful, but when root checking done it says not rooted.
USB Debug, Unknown sources, PC drivers for Samsung all have been checked and setup.
When I tried to flash SuperSU-v2.46, it says "Failed to verify whole-file signature"(i guess this is due to unrooted device)
Please help.

Very strange, I manage to download a firmware from sammobile, which has different PDA & CSC numbers but same model and update my device with Android 4.4.2. using Odin.
I then go on to flash CF Root and it was successful.
So, in my opinion, firmware update will simply clear existing ROM and update with new one which will be able to root. People with rooting difficulties may try this technique.
i'm trying to root an sm-g900a (at&t) that i recently bought. it currently has stock/official 4.4.2 and NG3 baseband/build. towelroot doesn't work. i downloaded the NCE build from sammobile and tried to flash with Odin but that doesn't work either because apparently the bootloader is locked (SW REV CHECK FAIL: [ABOOT]FUSED 2 > BINARY 1)

Attempted to use this process but with SafeStrap to the main ROM slot (due to a recomendation I read elsewhere) and bricked my rooted MF3 S4. Now that I am trying to recover I noticed the ROM download MD5 does not match, downloaded again and the MD5 still doesn't match.
The Knox warranty bit is now 0x1.
Tried using [MK2 ★ FULL ODIN TAR FILES ★ MK2] ★ [UNBRICKED ★ Feb.06.2014] process but that always fails also. S4 says SW REV CHECK FAIL : fused : 5, Binary : 4.
Any suggestions for a direction to head in? It seems us MF3 guys are in the minority.
I'm a highly experienced embedded systems developer. Just haven't had the time to dive deep into the Android development world.
I could not get CMR, TRWP or FF to work. I guess due to the rooted MF3 the stock recovery would not run and now that Goo.im has financial issues I could not find the files I needed there. SafeStrap was the only thing that let me boot to recovery.
I tried updating through Kies but now the phone says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." I can't boot into recovery mode.
I haven't taken any OTA updates but I did flash OE1. Odin will not allow my to flash back to NK2. Every time I try it fails and the phone reads : SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2 > Binary 1. Is there any hope for going back or am I stuck with lollipop?
have you tried going back to ncg? also go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/guide-safestrap-access-odin-t3126686 and download the NI2 flasher and try doing it with that it doesnt matter which kernel you flash

If you took the factory OTA OE1 or OG5 update you stuck with LP. You can't go back.
Hey everyone, after reading about flashing my phone on this site I figured I'd give it a try, but I couldnt get it to work and now I'm having trouble reverting to the stock system.
I've tried reinstalling from the steps at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785363
When trying to write to the phone with oden, the AP fails & the phone says:
Refer 3 > Binary 1
Secure Check Fail : System
(The CP works, and the CSC fails "refer 3 > binary 1, secure check fail : cache")
I've also tried installing other versions of the firmware, and ive tried 3 different cables. All results have been similarly bad
G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar.md5 (failed w/ a similar result, refer 3 > binary 1)
SM-G900A 4.4.2 Firmware (failed w/ a similar result, refer 4 > binary 1)
I'm new to this, so any help either getting my phone back to a stock firmware or getting it on to a different software such as Lineage OS would be greatly appriciated!! Hopefully I havent totally bricked it

Looks like you're trying to flash a not-allowed downgrade.
