Problems with flashing SM G900A - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone, after reading about flashing my phone on this site I figured I'd give it a try, but I couldnt get it to work and now I'm having trouble reverting to the stock system.
I've tried reinstalling from the steps at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785363
When trying to write to the phone with oden, the AP fails & the phone says:
Refer 3 > Binary 1
Secure Check Fail : System
(The CP works, and the CSC fails "refer 3 > binary 1, secure check fail : cache")
I've also tried installing other versions of the firmware, and ive tried 3 different cables. All results have been similarly bad
G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar.md5 (failed w/ a similar result, refer 3 > binary 1)
SM-G900A 4.4.2 Firmware (failed w/ a similar result, refer 4 > binary 1)
I'm new to this, so any help either getting my phone back to a stock firmware or getting it on to a different software such as Lineage OS would be greatly appriciated!! Hopefully I havent totally bricked it
Thanks!!!

Looks like you're trying to flash a not-allowed downgrade.
You need a more recent firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/g900aucs4dqd1-odin-update-v6-0-1-t3603897

[Q] [HELP] After Flashing with Odin: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue...

Hello guys,
First of all, sorry for my bad english, I'm brazilian and I will not use any kind of translation tool.
I had installed on my phone Cyanogen but I downloaded the leaked KitKat 4.4.2 for GT-I9505 and for some reason some trouble occoured during the procedure on Odin. Now my phone starts with: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I've downloaded many many rooms trying to flashing but none of them worked.
So searching here and there I found that I should be looking for "STOCK ROMs", but I downloaded few of them and no results at all...Then I noticed that I should be using some files in the MODEM, CSC or CP, CSC (depending on the version of Odin I'm using), but none of those files I've downloaded had those.
The list of ROMs I have:
"I9505XXUFNB8_I9505OXAFNB8_I9505XXUFNB8_HOME.tar.md5"
"I9505XXUEMKF_I9505OXXEMK3_I9505XXUEMKF_HOME.tar.md5"
"I9505VJUEMKE_I9505ZTOEMKE_I9505VJUEMKE_HOME.tar.md5"
"I9505XXUDMH8-PRE-ROOTED-KNOX_FREE-ODEX-FULL.tar.md5"
"I9505XXUFNA1_I9505OXAFNA1_I9505XXUFNA1_HOME.tar.md5"
"I9505VJUBMG3_I9505ZTOBMG3_I9505VJUBMG3_HOME.tar.md5"
I cannot flash any of those through Odin v3.07 or v3.09.
Looking here and there on the internet I found that I should be trying to split the HOME files into 3 files PDA,CSC and MODEM.
I've downladed Cygwin with "tar" "zip" and "md5" packages and SplitFUS2.
But here is an exemple of what happends when I try to split any of those above:
$ ./splitfus2 -s -w I9505VJUBMG3_I9505ZTOBMG3_I9505VJUBMG3_HOME.tar.md 5

I've tried so many ROMs, most of them is official, including the Snapdragon "I9505VJUBMG3_I9505ZTOBMG3_I9505VJUBMG3_HOME.tar"
And I'm downloading now Galaxy S 4 (Snapdragon) GT-I9505 ZTM I9505VJUEMKE from samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9505 to see if it will work.
ZTM is my country and mobile service provider, let's see if I can flash that one or if it will show the same error as the others above.

1. Stop of flash things without know what the **** u are doing.
2. You flashed I9505XXUFNB8 first with new bootloader android 4.4.2 and you cant downgrade ur phone now to android 4.3.
3. You only can download and flash I9505XXUFNB8 again and is all.
As I imagined

Galaxy S5 (AT&T) Stuck on Samsung Boot Logo

Okay, So I was trying to flash stock rom (4.4.2) in Odin and It failed. IT left me with the error, SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 4 > Binary 1
I get this error every time I try to flash. And I tried to do an Emergency Software Recovery and it just fails after it downloads the Update. I am able to access Android Recovery and Download Mode Aswell. I think when I tried to factory reset I deleted The whole OS. I really hope I am not out a brand new phone. I already tried to flash like 3 different stock roms from different websites same error!
Phone was Not rooted.
No Custom Rom installed.
Android 5.1.1 Was installed before.
Also, I heard that some users have been able to flash the pit and fix this, How can I find my Pit File. Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900A

Custom OS: Tried Reverting to Stock and Failed.

My phone was rooted but recently apps randonly started crashing so I decided to return to stock.
I used the following to try to return to stock.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039
When it started downloading it threw an error:
fused 3 > binary 1
Odin threw a:
<Auth Failed>
I am unable to boot it up after "Update Failed Connect To Verizon Software Update to Fix". I don't believe it can even charge at this point.
I am still able to reach the area that is used to flash.
How do I fix?
The Firmwares in that thread are not up to date at all. The bootloader versions are behind what you are probably on right now. You need to download more recent firmware for your handset from updato. You cant roll back to a bootloader older then what you are already on.
The example from that thread for G930V is
G930VVRU2APE1
In this case the bootloader version it is trying to flash is underlined, being 2.
Most up to date firmware is:
G930VVRS4BRA1
With the 4 being the latest firmware. You can check what you are on now by going to settings about phone baseband version. You can flash separate basebands but typically they are flashed as one package together.

S7 Edge Help

My retarded step-brother put a virus on his S7 Edge and I can not flash the stock ROM, it fails every time! I tried to flash TWRP but it was for the wrong device, I tried to use Kies and some other software that the phone recovery recommended but it said the device was not compatible! Now I don't understand how a system recovery recommends a program but then says the device is not compatible! How does that work? Can somebody please help me fix this phone!
- Device: ZTE Axon 7 Mini
- Recovery: TWRP Unofficial
- System: AOKP ROM by tdm

Have you used ODIN to flash the stock rom? If so, please send over a copy of the logs. Where did you get the Stock rom from?

Yes, I have used ODIN. I don't know where to get the logs, the phone says binary fused 5 > 4. I got the ROM here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/how-to/odin-stock-nougat-firmware-s7-edge-t3569834
ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!!!
the firmware link is for the binary 4 bootloader. after reading some other threads you might have a similar problem in that you had already updated to binary 5 and can no longer downgrade to binary 4 roms. sprint is on binary 5 and you will have to flash an appropriate binary 5 rom.
find a binary 5 spr rom and flash all the files together. you should be back on track. however, if this is indeed your issue you will not be able to go back to the 935u rom later. thank sprint for that.
i came to this conclusion by searching your error 'binary fused 5 > 4' and reading similar threads.
you cannot flash twrp for that model, domestic models have a locked bootloader and will only accept signed roms

Tried rooting my S5e following topjohnwu's instructions - security check fail: modem

So I tried rooting my S5e following the "system-as-root" part of the original magisk installation instructions (https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html#samsung-system-as-root), but odin stops short from being finished with "FAILED", and my tablet tells me: "SECURITY CHECK FAILED : modem"
How do I recover from this? Flash an unmodified firmware using odin?
Cheers

solved!
flashed the latest firmware which I downloaded with frija, then went through the process again but before flashing magisk_patched.tar I removed all the extra files from it as described in https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s5e/how-to/galaxy-tab-s5e-sm-t720-root-t3947806, now it works and is rooted.
NO MORE ADS!

1 you have to get the right CSC for your device e.g. XFA
Once I also downloaded a strange ROM. It had file dates (inside the zip) months older than the patches or update level it was supposed to have. In this case I waited several days and got a ROM with dates that made sense and flashed without the error.
2 ??? flash did not go well -> seems to me you are technically on stock which means no root
If you succeed to flash the Magisk patched AP file then you have to reboot to recovery to actually activate Magisk root.
