Hello guys,
I have a big problem with my girlfriend's Nexus 4 with CM11
She left the phone COMPLETELY discharged (0%) for the whole night (about 9 hours)!!
The morning after she put it on charge (with power supply) and when she tried to restart it remained stucked on the boot animation...and then we realized that something was wrong.
I tried this to recover:
1) Wipe cache / Dalvik cache KO (It starts then upgrades applications then remain stucked on "Starting applications")
2) Deleted batterystats.bin KO
2) Full wipe + flash CM11 KO
3) Full Wipe + flash KO Paranoid Android
4) Flash stock (with stock recovery) KO
When I say "KO" I mean that the nexus starts-up but remain stucked on the boot animation (except for the test 1)
I can, however, enter fastboot mode.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore
Do you have some ideas?
Thank you very much!
Is the imei properly displayed?
Flash back to stock 4.2.2 then try flashing back to cm11. Make sure you have a compatible modem and bootloader for cm11.
Do you have the red light?
If yes, look here

Personally, I managed to charge the battery with wireless charger only.

I had the same problem but i somehow got out of it. Don't worry if i can remember how did it solved it i will surely post it.

Use a toolkit to flash the factory image. This should solve your problem. Good luck.

I tried to flash stock 4.2.2 and it worked but unfortunately the nexus didn't recognize the sim card .
Searching the internet I found lot of people talking about a weird IMEI code. Well, I checked mine and it was blank!
Yes, there is no more IMEI code and the phone si actually like a tablet.
Anyway, I contacted the amazon's customer care and they opened me a RMA.
Thanks to all of you for the help
I flashed EMOTION_Lolipop rom, and it worked fine, but I wanted to try something else so then I flashed MIUI v5. After that the phone wouldn't boot, it was booting for more than 10 minutes and nothing happened, also the screen was upside down. I wiped everything, flashed it again, but still the same. Then I tried MIUI v6 rom, now it keeps restarting as soon as it turns on. I can get to CWM recovery, I wiped everything, flashed back EMOTION rom, but when I turn it on it still has MIUI v6 logo, and it still keeps restarting. Screen is upside down even in recovery.
Please help.
Okay, I flashed back MIUI v5, and now it doesn't restart but it still wont boot. Also in MTK Droid Tool I get --- ERROR :dev/radio/pttycmd1 inaccessible , should be Root Shell
--- ERROR : pttycmd1 device NOT found!

i cant understand that "upside down" but flash via spflashtool the backup of stok rom and check that"upside down" if is fixed.
then go back to your lovely rom!

I was getting a "pmt changed for the rom it must be downloaded" error, also some other errors, but anyway after I formated it then I sucessfuly finished flashing with "SPflash tool backup for ZTE Blade Q Vip.rs / Serbia" from "http://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-blade/general/zte-blade-q-spflash-cwm-backup-t2926264".
My original rom was also VIP but for Croatia. When I turned it on I could hear the sound but on screen there were weird vertical lines, so I tried the second one "SPflashtool backup for ZTE Blade Q Maxi (Orange Reyo) / made by @vaserbanix", and now everything looks normal but it's booting for probably ten minutes.
MTK droid tools doesn't recognize it when I connect the USB, but in the device manager it's visible as MTP USB device.
Any ideas?
I wiped everything from recovery, now it finally booted. It's just locked to ORANGE, I'll try another ROM to see if that will solve it.

IMEI was missing, I entered it through engineering mode because for some reason MTK droid tools is not recognizing the device.
Everything works now, thanks.
Actually mobile data is not working since then, do you know how to fix that? I entered APN manually, doesn't help.
EDIT: Nevermind, it's working.
But can I do anything to get the IMEI writen forever, so I don't have to enter it again after I change ROM.
No!

I have the same problem with my sister's note 4 snapdragon... updated to marshmallow and now if you reboot, it goes black screen and does not respond to long pressing power or anything... you have to pull out the batter for a few minutes then restart.
What gives? Did you find a solution?

have you tried wiping your cache?
Press Power, Volume Up and Home simultaneously.
Wait until the phone vibrates and then release Power and Home.
You should now see the recovery screen. ...
Press the Power button to confirm.
Select Reboot System Now and again, hit Power to confirm.
Hi, thanks, but yes, I've done cache and factory resetting several times. I'm trying custom ROMs now...

Yes, that works once, next time I try to shut down, it doesn't shut down properly and goes black screen with no response to power/home/volume long presses. I have to pull the battery for 10-20 mins first.

Take a look over here all signs of the ddi : mm_read fail error more info https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/note-4-freezing-restarting-t3348821
If device is still in warranty go to Samsung Service Centre to get motherboard replaced.

Thanks, nope, it isnt under warranty.
Odin fails
Kies stats downloading emergency fix but then says it lost connection with the phone
The phone will not boot at all now, probably due to flashing stock rom with PIT file.

can we apply it on a non-root marshmallow via odin?
I put my phone overnight charge then disconnected it in the morning 8 am (was working properly) then I noticed the phones battery percentage still stuck at 100% at 12 noon, I restarted my phone: It shut down but could not boot up, now I don't have access to fastboot or recovery, pressing the power button does nothing, whenever I connect charger the LED just starts blinking and does nothing, If I connect it to the PC, the MI flashtool recognizes it(Qualcomm 9008 mode). I flashed ROM in this mode still could not fix it. Need a solution, also there is no service center in my city.
I faced this issue in many redmi phones.
Just open back of phone.
Remove battery wire
And put in charging.
Then connect battery wire again.

I wouldn't recommend opening it yourself. As that will void your warranty for upcoming months.
Got my Xperia ZL replaced two times.
Google search edl cable
Edl cable press + power + volume down
Finally recovery mode and mi flash

Try a Hard Rest
1. Switch off you're phone.
2. Press and hold VOLUME UP and Power Key
3. When MI LOGO appears release them.
4. This is MI Recovery
5. Wipe & Reset
6. For option WIPE ALL DATA select YES.
7. All data is DELETED including the apps you had previosuly installed. NOW REBOOT to complete the operation.
