Weird, i was thinking that this is one of the Canadian versions avaliable for download http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/72507/N910W8VLU1DPE2_N910W8OYA1DPE2_BMC/
Also i forgot N910T it's not from north america.
This is ridiculous! T-mobile updated all of their scheduled MM updates, except Note 4s and Tab S2! Whats wrong with them!!! I'm soo mad...

This might have just came out after i posted this... but if it will work with your phone as long as the model match then no reason why you can't upgrade....
if you want to download it, just get samfirm and download it using that with model number as sm-n910w8 and either use TLS (Telus) or RWC for Region.
Set the option to decrypt automatically. You can use odin to flash.

Fwiw, it decrypts/ extracts as a .zip file, so won't flash in Odin. I assume it's a zip due to it being a downloadable update directly to the phone. Flash in TWRP or CWM?

Actually the DPE2 firmware is posted as a zip, but once you unzip your download (which is over 2 GB in size, btw!) you will have a .tar.md5 file that you flash with Odin in the usual way.
As for the question of whether you actually _can_ flash the DPE2 firmware for the N910W8 on the N910T, at least one developer, Ovrdrive, who tried it on his N910T said it wouldn't boot, and I haven't seen any posts here from anyone saying they got it to work on a N910T. So - any brave soul who tried DPE2 on his N910T and made it work should post about his success here.

NO it will not work on the 910T. not through Odin anyways as the model number won't match. Sefrcoko is working on a flashable zip and deodexing but at the moment is having issues with deodexing so it may work through flashing in recovery with a MM kernel. We will have to wait and see

I've never used Samfirm. I was talking specifically about the zip files posted at sammobile (link for the N910W8 version in my previous post), which are intended to be unzipped to a .tar.md5 and flashed with Odin.

I assume that since you upgraded to MM, and T-Mobile has yet to ship MM, you have a N910W8 and you installed DPE2. It's the bootloader that came with DPE2 that is the problem. All the custom ROMs, even the MM port ones, are intended for the most recent T-Mobile bootloader, which is DOK2 Lollipop 5.1.1, or the most recent Canadian equivalent, COK3 Lollipop 5.1.1. When and if T-Mobile finally, FINALLY ships their version of MM, the custom ROMs here will probably be based on that bootloader instead. T-Mo and Samsung should be ashamed about how long MM is taking. Verizon has it. EVERY Canadian carrier has it. Looks like T-Mo is shooting for the distinction of being the very last carrier anywhere to ship MM.
Anyway, until then you need to use Odin to downgrade to COK3 (or, at least the COK3 bootloader) before any currently available custom ROMs will boot.

I've extracted the bootloader and modem form the T715 firmware and made them Odin flashable.
Still haven't tested it but It should work on the T715Y
I've also made this Rom with android Kitchen so you'll need a custom recovery to flash it.
So the steps are simple
1. Flash sboot.tar.md5 through Odin on the BL tab
I believe you don't really need the modem
2. Flash the tab2.zip through a custom recovery.
Again I haven't tested this so I don't know if it works

is it an "RQT_CLOSE" error?
that seems to be a security error, it prevents odin from flashing firmware that is not 'original' to the device.

Hi, first let me thank you for giving this a go in coming up with work around to get MM with variant T15Y which seems to be totally forgotten by Samsung as its still rocking LL v5. 02
As much as I want to give this a try my concern is tripping the Knox, flashing through twrp, which from my experience with my Note 5 has lasting effect with high battery drain after upgrading to MM. As far as I know there is no way of reverting knox to 0.
On the Note 5 forum, the N920I variant is the last to be upgraded to MM. Someone has come up with work around using the variant N920G (I believe its the India version) by unpacking the rom into 4 files corresponding the BL, AP, CSC, (i can't remember the 4th one) then repacking if into tar files to flash using ODIN. I have initially upgraded my N5 using this method and worked perfectly without tripping Knox. This method only works between the variants N920I and N920G, my understanding is that because they are almost identical versions. I wondered if this this is also the same scenario with the tab s2 T715 and T15Y, if so I was wondering if you or anyone on this forum knows or better yet can give this method a try. I don't have any experience with rom development but happy to give this a go if pointed to right direction. Ihope we can keep this T15Y thread going. Cheers

The 4 files are simply the factory images downloaded via ota. Same as is in the all in one tar package downloaded from somewhere like sammobile. The problem with the Y version is that for some reason it is picky about its bootloader and will only accept a particular one.
Its probably a waste of time trying to flash any other bootloader until the official one is released.

I also was afraid to introduce it...
But on the experience, the case of soft brick (if possible in the power-on) can be recovered in most cases.

Now I really want to put Cusrom Recovery, but don't know how?
Flash the A9000-PC2-TWRP-3.02-0405.tar via ODIN
(pls check the PM inbox of xda)
same way as YouTube that you have posted.
In that Video has been flushed to the A9100.
Files that are used to it you will see that it is A9100-PC4-TWRP-3.02-0405.
A9100-PC4-TWRP-3.02-0405 (for A9100) and A9000-PC2-TWRP-3.02-0405 (for A9000) has been build by same person (xiao1u).
There is a newer TWRP file for 9100 "A9100-APD1-TWRP-3.02-0419". Anyway it works fine on my A9 pro. Got google apps on as well.
I want to see official a9100 spec, where to find?
Is it also China localized or not have any app on Chinese ?
Thanks

I have downloaded A9000-PC2-TWRP-3.02-0405 too (not yet tried), but steberg writes that there is new firmware(A9100-APD1-TWRP-3.02-0419). Now I don't know which to flash...
A9100-APD1-TWRP-3.02-0419 is TWRP for SM-A9100 (A9 pro)......
So Scratching their heads I think whether to run this thing on my A9 (not Pro)...
Flashed the CF-Auto-Root and A9000-PC2-TWRP-3.02-0405 to my A9 (updating to A9000ZHU1APD3).
Restarted with flash the A9000-PC2-TWRP-3.02-0405 in a few mins.
(It took a very long time to restart the previous ver. of A9000-TWRP-PA7....)
SuperSU v2.71 that has been introduced in the CF-Auto-Root was unstable in some apps..
So I was overwrite v2.65 from TWRP.
Problem has not occurred now.
TWRP backup, restore, install xposed was OK.
So, I can go with this newer recovery on same APD3 rooted, same as yours?
And how you have updated rooted rom to newer stock?
Thanks

No guarantees it will flash properly. It depends on the size of the hidden partition. I would wait for a debranded firmware like BTU or XEU.

I finally cracked it!!! after about 1700 hours of research amd development on the original Note 7 Snapdragon variant, here isis the firmware tbat will save your note 7 from the last death update. Flash this through odin just like normal and your note 7 will now charge to 100% and will be fully functional. Unfortunatley the wifi and bluetooth are disabled but i am working tirelessly on fixing the wifi and bluetooth and will post the fix on this thread when it is acheived. Feel free to donate if you wish, i spent a TON of time on this and will always appreciate your generosity. Paypal : [email protected] Enjoy!

Not tested with the Chinese model, but it may work. Also on a side note, I have found permanent root for all Qualcomm Note 77s Canadian amd American variants. I'll be posting a huge 'how to do' post on xda somewhere, follow my work.
Link not working please update working links..
Thanks in Advance..

I currently have the U1 unlocked firmware flashed and am trying to flash it back to the original U firmware because of the new bootloader issue. I am receiving an Odin fail error all the time with different USB ports and computers. Is there something I did wrong? Also, I purchased this as a G950U device. I recently got it unlocked through ATT so does that mean it is now a G950U1 device?
The G950U is the unlocked version, so why did you have to unlock it through AT&T?
It should've worked straight off the bat.
This is the U version (For USA, unlocked version) https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s8-8161.php#g950u
And the AT&T version is the G950A.
Ross is confused.
I had this once when PrinceComsy Odin wouldn't work. Use this Odin, it worked when nothing else would, IDK why

Is the bootloader version on the firmware you're trying to flash the same as the one that's on there now? You can't downgrade bootloader versions.

I'm honestly not sure. The firmware was the original stock ATT version and I was running the latest Nougat update. I switched the CSC code back to ATT from AIO this morning using the main guide here, but I am now stuck on that Factory Binary screen. Is there a firmware for v2 bootloader for ATT out there?

Figured it out, I have v2 bootloader software and the unlocked software I am using is v1. Could someone please give me a link to v2 unlocked firmware? I'm honestly drained at this point and I'll just not do any OTAs from this point on.

QL1 is the latest. This is labeled as vzw but it's all inclusive so it installs properly depending on your sim:

I got desperate and rooted due to needing to do an important phone call. Are there any guides that can walk me through this? Also your link gives me some weird hotlinking error.

Hey joe thanks for this! I figured I'd give it a shot to flash back to unroot and it worked! I also checked my warranty in the download mode and it's still at 0x0 and I'm still able to use Samsung Pay/Secure Folder so I didn't even trip Knox.
