Hello, I'm attempting to replace a broken display on SM-A500FU (europe version) and I have a question will a screen for SM-A500F (global version) fit and work on FU model or do I need to get a FU display to work with it? If anyone has some experience with this please share your knowledge.

Yes, F vs FU is location, FU is Europe where as F is global. Screens identical on all a500s

Not sure but I'd say 2014-2015 would definitely be the same as they both use same chip set, I would say new 2016 model to but I'm not positive

Long story short I misplaced my SIM tray for my black AT&T LG G2 D800. I saw a replacement on eBay but it says it's for the LG D802. According to my research the SIM tray should be compatible. Could anyone help to clarify this for me? Thanks so much!
Should be able to pull it off. AFAIK, the differences between the D800 and the D802 are only in the radios and the bands for LTE and that sorta thing. No hardware differences at least as far as I have checked

Thank you, that's what I was thinking as well but I was unsure and needed and extra confirmation. I appreciate it djpeesh.
Hey tokomoto, I was also stuck in the same situation . Could you please update , whether the D802 part got fitted into D800 device.
djpeesh / tokomoto , thanks for replying on this thread. !!!

Hey guys my apologies for not coming back to this thread. The answer is YES it is compatible, they are the exact same size physically. You should have no problem at all. I have an extra for sale if anyone needs one as well. Thanks!
I lost the sim tray too! Care to share where you got the replacement from?

Hello
i just bought new SM G900F phone from ali express
well almost everything look good, im doing some bencmark testing and its seems original phone.
every time i get score between 42000-46000 on my s5 with diffrent roms.
tuday i used CPU-Z to check if the hardware is original or its may be fake, im posting here my results.
is it possible that my Galaxy s5 has 2720mb ram???
i'ts show this hardware info on every app, also in antutu.
the big question, REAL OR FAKE?
Apart from the RAM, every other spec from your screenshots are identical to my G900F
Not sure where the apps read specs from, maybe build.prop has been edited?
Factory reset it?

already did, even burned new software over ODIN, original Samsung firmware to be sure.
after that it did 2 OTA updates.
Maybe you got a test model (Engineering sample) by mistake, maybe Samsung were looking at putting 3GB in the S5, and that phone could well be one of their test models
Lucky guy if that's true
I use this, which comes with a widget that you can enable to show available RAM
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.taskmanager&hl=en_GB
Install that, enable the widget, in settings tell it to show RAM on the widget, see what it says
My best is around 800MB free - if you really do have an extra 1GB, it should show well over 1GB free

its say its refurbish... (the S\N does not match the Manufacturing Date.)
anyway, i installed some roms today, still 3GB ram
my knox is 0X1 (2) - what does the 2 meaning?
i guess its original galaxy s5 because i succeeded to install some galaxy s5 roms, if it was a fake i guess it would brick because the HW is not the same or something...

Then it could be that you have the LTE-A Model, but on the other hand, it cannot be because the LTE-A has as model number "SM-G901F".

Hi!
I'm getting a Note 4 delivered tomorrow, hopefully it turns out to be an N910C like I wanted!
Are there any known hardware faults that I should look for out of the box? Eg screen gap or any wifi issues?
Also, is there a testing mode that I can try out? Any way to know which variant it is (Except for the model number on the box?)
Cheers, and thank you!

There is no known issues with Note 4. This app called CPU-Z will tell you everything about your phone.
Hi. U can dial *#0*# from dialer and check all the hardware inside your phone.
Hello,
I recently purchased a Galaxy s5 SM-G900F on a french website (Eglobalcentral.fr).
Or so they said.
I wanted to root it, by flashing CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f on it with Odin, but it didn't work.
And then I took a closer look on the infos on the screen on the download mode and saw that it said Product Name : sm-g9006v...
Plus, as you can see, the knox flag is already tripped. It was before I touched it.
But in the phone properties, it says SM-G900F. So which one is it ? How can I root it ? Have I been scammed ?
Thanks a lot !
EDIT : wanted to add a screenshot but I can't because I'm new ^^

It's written SM-G900F there. But still, why is there a SM-G9006V in download mode ? And why can't I flash a Samsung Stock ROM on it ?

It seems that the G9006V is the Chinese model. If the product was advertised as a G900F you should contact the seller regarding a fraudulent advertisement. I'm sure even with Knox being tripped they'll be willing to reimburse or exchange it, that's a very shady practice.

Okay, I'm beginning to think I'm cursed.
I purchased another SM-G900F, from a well known french site, full price.
They sent me a SM-G901F -_-
I'm going to keep it, but still, is that common practice ?
Hi there,
i'm from France too and purchased the same weird G900F, from the same site (eglobal). It's also a disguised G900V, with sort of a "frankenstein" firmware, some parts are from g9006v (recovery, bootloader) and some part middle east G900F.
Can you tell me what did you do with it? Did the seller refund you?
The g901F is a beefier version of the S5, with a snapdragon 805. There is a cf autoroot version for it so i wouldn't mind too much. What was the site?
Thanks

I did that myself...four times. Still no answer, three weeks later!
It seems they found a solution to sell the unsold chinese S5 , the model didn't do well in China...but they don't want to ear about it!

Well, I'll wait three days, and then I'll see with Paypal, since I used my Paypal account to pay. They are efficient most of the time

It seems they don't respond to me either. I created a "litige" with Paypal, I give them 'til the end of the week and then I'll change that "litige" into a "réclamation". That's Paypal procedure, first they only forward your message, then they handle it themselves...
It seems like eglobalcentral.fr doesn't care about individuals, I really hope they will care about Paypal.
I'm sorry for you, I'm not sure you'll get anything by yourself...

Fortunately i managed to install Lidroid rom on the device, which is already rooted and includes french language. It's a very good rom (4.4.2, touchwiz with a few tweaks...), and everything works great, network and all.
Conclusion : Never buy from that website.

I'd start first by finding the Language and Input section of Settings then change it to English if you can. Then, I'd go to About and see what exact model it is and then you could probably flash the stock Exynos firmware to get a full retail firmware.
