Anyone still running MIUI6 ? - Xiaomi Redmi 2 Questions & Answers

I think it is best rom on redmi2 so far as it offers overall great experience.
Great performance, battery life!

I cant bare miui for more than 1 day. Its pathetic. The most annoying thing is the settings which are all cluttered in dont know what manner.
By the way, if you use miui for stability than you can try cm 13 snapshot build. Its 99.9% stable

What Rom are you currently using ?

Exciting times are ahead of us, the big Rom developers are already making a Rom and new Roms are coming by daily basis it seems.
In this topic we can talk about what Rom we are currently using and what our thoughts are about it.
I'm still using stock oppo Rom, I had a few problems with flashing a new Rom so I gave up.
I will try again in the future, but I'm not sure what Rom I should install.

The cm10 nightlies!
It works perfectly for me, only issue i have is battery life.... I think its even worse than with stock fw....
But considering how far the developers have come in such a short time one can't complain really
I 'm way happier than with my previous s3!

Just installed PAC-man ROM, and must say i'm very happy with it, fast, nice features and they are updating regularly.
PA all the way! So far I've had zero issues (besides the nonfunctional camera) with the alpha build. In fact, I've been averaging up to an hour more screen on time. Its pretty awesome!

been running CM10.1 for the past couple days.. no problems but no camera.
kinda hope they update so you can adjust the drawer layout. i hate the 4x4 grid pattern
im running stock rooted waiting for cm 10.1 to fix the camera and the battery life. i have aokp on my galaxy s3 so im kind of an anti-stock user.
:victory: happy with Pac Rom , super smooth and camera all working now ( HDR , Recorder , front camera) . I recommend this because It drains less battery than stock . Best rom until FireFly Project done.
CM Nightles. The only rom that has the camera working. My battery life increased considerably. I'm at 12 hours at 10% with screen on for a little over 3 hours. Looked at the battery half way through the day and found a widget NOM NOM NOM on my battery so uninstalled it at 50% so the battery life is even better.
Stock rom has an issue that I can't live with. Submitting a bug report/feature change on OPPO forums to resolve this. On OEM rom and the phone on Tmo, the radio drops DCH/HSPA+42 quickly versus giving it a little timeout period before scaling out. This coupled with semi aggressive power management keep apps like Spotify from streaming consistently without the screen awake and some additional source of data to keep the phone fully ramped up. It does not exhibit this under CM. Love the phone actually enjoyed the OEM software but I use a lot of my battery life for music consumption. Oppo will get it resolved though. TONS of faith in them based on feedback taken and given.

Can anyone confirm if Easy Cover is working as it should on custom roms (tried on cm nightlies and it just wakes the phone but dont lock it)
I just loaded ReVolt last evening and it's quite nice. No major issues thus far either. I am a big fan of CM, and find that this has all the options I miss from a fledgling ROM like Oppo's. In time they'll get there.
PAC Rom nightlys. Woking great so far
Latest firefly "ïnternational" beta
I would call it more like an alpha since is 25% or more chinese, stable enough(few freezes), damn pretty but that's all good things about it.
Oppo still didn't fixed the main bugs on this phone like camera autofocus, poor performance in low light and image stabilization, plus the main functions of the phone that shouldn't be bad from start.
CM nightly only.
CM10.1/Oppo Find 5
I am still on the older stock rom, since the last and final update seems
to deal more damage than good.
Still fighting with myself if I should upgrade to Color ROM. Can you guys
recommend it? I am not interested in the newest features, but an
increase of stability would be very welcomed.

Vote your favorite LP ROM here!

Hi all! The purpose of this thread is to gather a bit of information about the LP ROMS people like the most, and why. As you already know Android 5.0 arrived along the last few months to our awesome phone, the Moto G. However the Moto G is a popular phone, and despite being a bit of an oldie there is still a huge amount of support for it from the community. The proof is that we already have (at least) 22 different ROMs we can flash, and counting. Amongst such number of ROMs being developed at a time, it can be hard to choose sometimes, and that's why I came up with this idea. In the end it is something someone would have done sooner or later, and while I am aware that pretty much all of the projects listed here are under development and still far from a final release, in my opinion most are mature enough for daily use at this point. Therefore, I believe it is about the right time to start sharing our opinions on them!
If this turns out right (hope so, lol) we will have a better knowledge of the current LP ROMs out there, which of them are the most chosen among users, and most importantly the reasons that stand behind. Plus, it will be easier for newcomers to decide which ROM suits them best.
Long story short, just vote for the ROM you like the most. I encourage you to post your opinions on the matter as well, so we can know why you like that ROM so much!
Note: I did my best at gathering all the ROMs available at the moment. If you can't find your ROM in the list just post it here (and tell us what makes it cool). I don't know if I will be able to add them to the poll since this is the first one I do, I will if it's possible.
So tell me, what's your favourite lollipop flavour?
Guess I'll be the first? xD My vote goes to BlissPop. I tried a few other like CM12, stock, Resurrection Remix or Pac-rom, and found BlissPop was the one that most satisfied me in terms of features. I like omni-switch, viper4android integration in settings and bliss interface with all the personalisation options. It also fares nicely in overall performance and battery life, and IMO it is quite stable... hardly any bug and when there is one it usually is nothing bothersome. Still got a lot to test out though, so my opinion might change.
Euphoria OS is really good. Very stable, better performance than stock. although right now I have 5.1 installed.
Pacman and exodus
Optimised stock by @lost101 with xposed, fantastic, just how motorola should have done it.
Pacman and aicp
Stock without any doubt.
Broken is pretty good as well imo.

Euphoria is definetly one that I want to give a try to. Interested on it's performance and their cm12 theme is one of the best I've seen.

A lot of people are going for stock, this surprises me a little. May I ask what are the benefits of stock? Is it just stability or is there a difference in performance too? Curious.

i guess for some stability and performance. Euphoria OS is a great rom although I am not a fan of CM anymore. they got too big for their own good.

Better performance, stability and everything works as it should.
Also xposed gives you almost all the additional features.
Battery life is much better imo

Is it for dual sim ?
Resurrection
Although I'm on stock optimised by @lost101 great battery and stability.. And multitask is great too..
Stock 5.0.2 Brazilian optimized.
Stability, a couple of random reboots but overall stable.
As it was said xposed compensates the lack of some customization or functions.
Amazing battery performance, about 14/16.

Zenfone 2 Stock ROM vs Official CyanogenMod 13 [Video]

here's a video showing the comparison between Stock Zenui ROM and Official CyanogenMod 13 on Asus Zenfone 2 .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52rL0q2YdgY
Share your Experience on how good the roms are from one another .
Nice comparision.. But im more concerned about battery stats that real performance (ZF2 is actually a fast phone in stock).
Can you tell me how's battery performance between both roms with some stats?
Ty!
CM13 has better standby
From my time of use , I got better standby battery life on CyanogenMod 13 than the stock rom .
It would be really helpful if more people shared their experiences .
Please share your rom experience
Please share your rom experience and let people know which rom is worth it ?
Stock ROM or Official CyanogenMod 13 ?
From personal experience CM13 has been smooth and fast for me. Only downsides were battery life and random reboots. Other than that the rom ran great. But Stock is far more stable and even has better battery life and better battery saver options.
My experience is good with CM13.0 .. Stable, fast and smooth ... I mostly like stock ROM more but Asus doesnt have it more optimized and Android OS drains battery alot ...

Screen flickering ?
Has anyone faced screen flickering on cyanogenMod 13 ?
Any other issues ?
you should compare cm 13 with mm beta stock
nice vid
Just to let you know, with the CM13 official I don't even remember when was the last random reboot.. superbly fast and simple.

As long as CM13 has the mobile signal bug, that forces me all the time to check my carrier signal and to switch on/off the airplane mode, I will - unfortunatelly - stay with the stock. The camera pictures seems to be slightly better with the stock, as well.
In other hand, CM has much better screen luminosity and no bloatware.
Strange... I only had this problem with stock versions. No matter if it was 5.0 or 6.0. But with CM13 this problem is gone on my device.
I wish 3D games performed better in cm13. Critical Ops fps is cut in half on cm13 when compared to stock.
I encountered screen flickering on cm13 and couldn't find a solution .
Let me know if anyone has solution Please .
I've been on cm13 for quite some time now. the rom is good in all departments, however the camera quality is unbearable. ?. anyone know if camera quality is good on the beta mm for stock? and should I go back to stock? I'm using the 2gb ze551ml

Screw'd Android does have a nougat based rom (7.0), check out their Google + page. It runs awesome!!
I am surprised that u guys haven't used uberstock..
It's the fastest a rom on Android can be.. Super smooth and fast
Nitrogen OS has been my bread and butter for a couple months now.
One of my favorite Roms has to be Android Ice Cold Project.
It has so many features that you can mess around with to customize the experience the way you want it.
Probably the only downside to this Rom is that it drains battery much faster than Roms with less features, so if you want features but don't mind losing battery life, then this Rom is for you.
Another Rom I can recommend is jgcaap's custom CM13 builds.
It has a little more features than stock CyanogenMod 13 has but it saves a ton more battery life than AICP.
I've been using this Rom for quite a while now and I've had no problems with it so far.
Hope I've assisted you in some way
Have a great day!
