I figure it's just a tweak here and there. I haven't noticed anything different.

Man I really hate how Samsung/T-Mo presents the each update's changelog. You can never know WHAT they changed! It's always the same BS...
"Improved performance"
"Enhanced features"
"Better security"
How is this different than saying "So basically a better phone. Later~!". If this kind of thing happened in my field(chemical engineering), the person responsible would get fired on the spot.

Did we ever get the update that addresses those accidental touches on the curved sides that's so easy to do with this phone? I have yet to see a difference with my accidental screen touches.
"Google security update"? That's interesting. June security patches aren't out. Wonder what they mean by that.

My device's Edge sensitivity improved after the last update. This update kept it the same ... for what's it's worth.

Kind of. One user seems to have found a way, but it's not really workable for the community just yet. He's working with a few other devs to hopefully get something releasable. I'm watching the thread very closely.

There you have it!
Taking that with a grain of salt. I read a Moment thread yesterday where Sprint told someone that patch CL14 would be out soon to fix the GPS on the Moment. (CL14 was an Android 1.4 patch for those not in the know)
Did you follow Samsung's link about the Epic? If so, what did it say? And could you post that as a URL instead of an image so we could follow the link too?
The link was something we all know how to do.
http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa...ID=2&PROD_SUB_ID=557&PROD_ID=559&AT_ID=339667
Is anyone else a little worried that both of these images from Samsung contained glaring typos? I can't say I've ever gotten an email from tech support with typos in it, even using the chat client to talk to a Sprint rep online I've never seen typos.
And yet, the last one came from the Supprot team, and this one says "Wer are" in it.

Froyo is not due out this month for the US phones. Only for the international Galaxy S. There is no word at all on when the Epic will get Froyo.
The Sprint Epic Device team is aware of and has identified the issue with the GPS cache on the Epic. It is not addressed in the recent Di07 update. Di07 was on on test and ambassadors starting almost two weeks ago when device team had not even verified the issue never mind a getting a solution from Samsung. Froyo is not expected on optimistically on Epic until sometime in October (advocates/ambassadors have been told this) and the only date Sprint has said is in fact December.
The current workaround for Epic core GPS problem is to enable cold start as default. That is imperfect but ends the cache problem.
An official fix for GPS is not expected for weeks
Look what I found roaming around kernel wake locks on bettery battery stats. I hope this isn't what I think it is back from 2011 but it sure looks like it.

Thanks for the heads up!

It does not seem to be on VZW model.
2 people have confirmed it is not installed on the VS980
It can be removed, right?
I checked my Verizon G2 with three different Carrier IQ detectors and none of the three found it.
I'm surprised that AT&T would revive this PR nightmare... hope it blows up in their face.

Does the T-Mobile version support micro-SD? Says they support up to 32gb!?
Sigh. I thought we were passed this. I'm having a hard time caring though this time around. Not sure why.
If I were to guess, LG doesn't have the market share muscle to say no and AT&T insisted on installing it.

ATT comes standard 32gb, probably on T-Mobile too. No SD support on USA phone models from what i've read. Maybe T-Mobile offers a 16gb and 32gb model for some reason? Thought it ONLY came in 32gb?
Just remove these two files: found in /system/lib libiq_client.so and libiq_service.so
You need to be rooted one you remove these you can confirm whether the service is dining by downloading an iq checker in the play store. Remember it's the carriers not lg that included this.
Upon further testing phone FCS during a call if u remove these files...so will have to figure out whatelse needs to be done.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk 4
On T-Mobile, at least for the One and S4, it asks whether you want to opt-in for Carrier IQ. I really don't see this as a huge deal but I mean I'm not against removing it either though.

Funny that the people that got the soak didn't sign up for it. Equally funny that an apparent Verizon employee on here assured us it was out. Look, nobody "knows" when an OTA will drop. Even those of us testing pre-release versions of ROMs have no idea when they will become "official" (and, since they're test ROMs, they don't usually become the "retail" version of the ROM). Asking when things will be out is just a waste of time, and generally is frowned upon here.
