Based upon the comments on multiple threads (android police, gsmarena), it appears to be a soak. But it should roll out real soon.

99% of Moto Z owners could have told you that day after it was "released".
Funny that the people that got the soak didn't sign up for it. Equally funny that an apparent Verizon employee on here assured us it was out. And probably the funniest thing of this whole situation is "news" sites like Android Authority, Droid Life, etc. consider a single poster on Reddit a reliable source.

Just like the droid turbo is still waiting for marshmallow. It has said pending partner support for what feels like forever.

Actually, it was probably "next Thursday" now that I think about it. Makes more sense for a movie release.
well... i think that would have to take into consideration where you live. I know usually here for the US, new movies generally hit theaters on Friday's, but new DVD's/BluRay's typically come out on Tuesday.

I've noticed that it depends on the popularity of the movie being released. Popular ones in theaters Tuesdays and dvd Fridays. Lol and depends on the season. Walmart changes release dates in winter to fridays and tuesdays in summer.
It looks like blockbusters are always released on Fridays unless it's released to coincide with a holiday. Maybe it's sometimes considered Thursday because there's a Friday midnight showing for big blockbusters.
DVDs are released on Tuesday apparently so as not to cannibalize movie ticket sales. I'd think Monday would make more sense though.

I think has to do with the tegra drivers and implementation.
As powerful and nice as the tegra chipset is, i'm not buying another phone with it, due to NVidia's closed nature with it. Android hardware should be open source and NVidia is not playing nice with that at all, which is making development for it very difficult

It still isn't clear weather a completed version is in their labs for testing and approval OR Moto's version was submitted to them for them to add bloat, test, fix, test, add more bloat, test, etc. I think once Verizon puts out a soak with their junk on it, then we may be getting truly close.

Sounds more hardware than software related. I doubt they'd hold an event (or waste time at one) to announce a software update for phones released back in '12. They didn't for the newer, more relevant phones, and with no other company calling an event to announce "we've released KK for you on XYZ phone" it would come off as very pompous.
...am curious to see what their next model phone is though...
So possibly the firmware will be released before the new phone comes out?

Everything is speculative with no real concrete evidence to back anything up. We know that it's likely to come out this month, but even that is not 100% certain.

The ones that do not install were meant for lollipop and don't install on 4.4.
That said, no, this is not an indicator for us. Many of these(all?) are meant for those already on lollipop.

I know for a fact when lollipop will get released. Was told directly from a verizon rep and motorola rep.
They stated we will get it when its released for our device ..... Hope that clears the confusion for everyone.

No really... I did read it. You stated that you know for a fact we would get it. Why would we not get it? I can see a galaxy s3 not getting it as of is no longer sold in the stores. So, that being said, why would a new phone, less than 6 months old, not get an update.

Maybe. Two of them were compiled with the lollipop sdk.
The layout changed when I updated the services that was included on the link from android police

What is implied here is that not all will update because some are meant for lollipop. Also yes some may update because it may be able to run on both versions.

Lag? Its not lag. This has been mentioned before its called delay focus. This is a phone with a camera. If you want a good camera buy one that isn't a phone.

Wasn't complaining . just hoping the update added some benefit.. I love the camera and this phone but after it focuses it lags for a second. Don't care what you want to call it and I have read every post on this forum about the camera. I have also used other cameras on high end phones and it doesn't do what the turbo does. Damn dude. that page doesn't always get updated in a timely matter...if you go to the specific Sprint HTC 10 page, it's usually updated before the rom downloads page....and even then, the device specific page sometimes is updated late & sometimes even early.
I would think we would be seeing the 1.9x update soon...if anyone sees the ota, hit me up!

hard to say, I'm not seeing much....still waiting for a changelog...it does have Aug security updates though...

According to my sources, it's already in testing. I think the above post (Q4 2016, possibly January) is a reasonable guess.

I've got the unlocked HTC 10 that I made work with Verizon, and I just got offered the Android 7.0.0 update OTA today, kind of confused if I should take it.
The update was pushed to my device this morning. Hopefully one of our awesome devs will have a rooted version out soon!

You are not on Verizon software, might want to have specified that as 617 is US unlocked. This is the Verizon section for Verizon software . Just thought I would share this before someone thinks it's the VZW update.

Look, nobody "knows" when an OTA will drop. Even those of us testing pre-release versions of ROMs have no idea when they will become "official" (and, since they're test ROMs, they don't usually become the "retail" version of the ROM). Asking when things will be out is just a waste of time, and generally is frowned upon here.
