HD2 Keypad lock freeze, cant even boot!

I have SPB Mobile Shell installed, and have never had any big issues until yday. For some reason it did not want to unlock when I entered the unlock code. I am absolutely sure I entered the right code, but it said it was wrong (I am not talking about the pin, but the code for locking the keypad). I tried to do a soft reset, but I am not even able to get to the pin-code screen login, as I have to unlock the device before this. In the beginning it said the password I entered was wrong, but now nothing even happens when I press the unlock button after entering the password.
Any ideas, or do I really have to do the hard reset??
If I am correct you have to slide to unlock and then enter your 4 digit number to access the phone.
I had this issue a few weeks ago and tried every method to unlock it. The symptoms that you are describing are exactly what I had. I know that I was entering the right number but the message that came up was 'wrong pincode'.
I contacted HTC and they couldn't help me and suggested that I do a hard reset. I reluctantly had to do this and it was reset to factory settings. JUST BACK UP YOUR STUFF. All my footprints were lost. Good luck !!
Yes, thats the exact same problem as I have. Guess hard reset is the only way out.. =/ I do have all the contacts backed up in Outlook, and as far as I know the memorycard will not be deleted, so all photos etc will hopefully not be lost. But anyway quite annoying.. =/

Text lockscreen

I used the the stock text lockscreen and its not letting me in my phone for some reason. Is there a way to by pass this to get in my phone. So that I can take this mess off. Lol

Well. I should've said pin lock screen. But I'm trying to figure out how can I by pass this.
Dinc
Nope, that's the point of the lock screen, you'd probably be pretty upset if you had someone get data of your device because they could just easily bypass the lock screen by pressing the vol - button 3 times then power, then vol+ or some such thing.
The only way I know of would be a factory reset, which, of course, wipes the data on the phone. (SD card should be fine).

What do you see when you restart your device with "PIN" Security?

Hey guys, so I just had my new replacement S7 Edge after my first one had screen defect, As soon as I got the phone I de-branded it with APD1.
I only have "PIN" security in, as the screen is still protected by the factory screen protector and I dont want to remove it till I can get it a proper screen protector and this is new to me as I always had "Fingerprint" Security.
When I reboot my phone, I get prompts me to input my PIN in "white" coloured buttons and then after it says "Starting Android", then a Lock animation turning Unlocked, then I have to swipe it or wait.
I've never seen this screen before and was wondering maybe it has something to do with my PIN security.
Yes, its the PIN security, sorry for wasting your time,
thanks

Soft reboot like symptons

Hey all,. I have a Moto g5 plus, and it's having an issue where it seems to almost do a soft reset sporadically. Reason I know this is my gear S3 says it's disconnected, and I go to unlock the phone with my finger print, and need to enter my pin number. It's the unlocked variant through Best buy. On the latest update, no root or anything.
Anyone else experience anything similar?

Is there a way to flash s7 edge from my computer? Black screen of death issue

Hi,
I want to flash my wife's s7 edge from my computer because there's no display on the screen of the phone. The phone is working but there's no display when it's turned on.
I tried to hold down the - volume then power but no luck. I tried the other buttons as well but still no display.
My only hope is to flash it from my computer. Is there a software that i can install on my computer to do this?
I need to access the files on the phone to back it up.
Thanks

Use smart switch to backup your files. You may had a fault in display hardware. Try using odin on your computer but be sure to exit smart switch and terminate the smart switch from processes before flashing.

I tried it but it says the phone is lock. We are trying the finger print sensor to unlock it but no luck. Any other option?

If you had fingerprint it should unlock. But if its a pattern or password or pin, then its useless as your screen won't work. Also when you restart phone, it requires your pin or password the first time you unlock even if fingerprint enabled, so I guess if you registered a fingerprint, then after restarting it will be requiring your pin or password that you set or maybe pattern. If you set a password or pin with fingerprint, then you can try using your luck with external keyboard. But if its a pattern, I don't think there is anything you could do, and thats time for going in a service center.
