Text lockscreen - Droid Incredible General

I used the the stock text lockscreen and its not letting me in my phone for some reason. Is there a way to by pass this to get in my phone. So that I can take this mess off. Lol
Dinc

Well. I should've said pin lock screen. But I'm trying to figure out how can I by pass this.
Dinc

Nope, that's the point of the lock screen, you'd probably be pretty upset if you had someone get data of your device because they could just easily bypass the lock screen by pressing the vol - button 3 times then power, then vol+ or some such thing.
The only way I know of would be a factory reset, which, of course, wipes the data on the phone. (SD card should be fine).

If it were me, the only option you have is to reload the PD15IMG. But i'm sure there is a way to get into the phone and remove just the lock screen.apk via ADB but i don't know where it is stored or if it is possible.
Thanks but i FOUND THIS. Here's the FIX: remove and replace battery, but don't power on. Hold down Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power at the same time. When screen appears, let go of all. menu will appear. Select factory data reset using Vol up/down to move and power to choose. Select yes. It'll reset everything!

When you said you did a factory reset i thoughts that is what you did. a wipe via the hBoot screen.
Glad you got it hammered out none the less.
Just throwing this out there:
If you enter the wrong pattern on the lockscreen 5 times, a "forgot my password" option will appear and it will ask you to verify your Google account. This will let you access the phone again without pulling the battery.

[Q] Cant remember password

Hi,
I got a new samsung mobile phone yesterday, and not being very clued up with phones, I managed to set a password on the phone, I cannot remember it
So when I turn the phone on it asks me for my password,
Does anyone know how to reset it back to factory defaults??
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
Theres two possible options that may work.
Go online and login into your Live ID account.
Under devices you should see your phone listed.
There you have options to Find, Trace, Lock and Erase your phone.
Try locking it, then leave it a couple of minutes and see if that lock code now unlocks it fully.
Turn the Phone OFF.
Then switch it ON, by holding the Power Button + Camara Button + Vol Down Buttons. You'll have the option to Format the Phone, this will reset it back to Factory Settings.
You'll have to set it up again, but at least you can use it.

402sh sharp hard reset how?

Hello,
I have a problem with my "sharp softbank aquos 402SH
I setup a pattern lock. Since I have not used the phone for some time I cannot remember the pattern anymore.
I thought an unlock with a hard reset is no problem. But I found no way to boot into recovery mode(tried power and minus button, power and plus button to boot).
Also the device did not show up in adb as a device(Windows 8/Sharp USB driver installed) but was recognized as a storage device.
The user manual says:
"Do not forget pattern, Lock No. passcode or password set for canceling Screen lock(write it down if necessary). If you forget it, visit the nearest SoftBank Shop for recovery procedure."
As I live in Sudan and there are only softbank stores in Japan. So this is not possible for me.
Is there any other way to hard reset the device?
same prob

Are you sure? Have you tried power-cycling the device? (Let it discharge all the way, and charge it all the way.)

Hi there
i have the same problem
my phone aquos 304 there are no available physical volume rocker button
i forget the password pattern
custom cable data with R jumper to ID pin with zadig software cannot flash the twrp
could someone help me out of this
thx
i also have that kind problem also show to many people but no way found of any to recover my bally please do something
As I think this phone did not get that many updates this might still work. I remember early on back then that i somehow managed to make a pattern that I had not meant to so could not unlock. Also quickly found out I could not get into the bootloader. But I found out you could bypass the lockscreen if you went into the emergency call screen. The thing is, you'd have to make a call then you could use the drop down notifications and enter settings app or something like that. I can't remember clearly, but I could atleast get access. And from there i just disabled the pattern. Don't feel I can recommend this though as it depends on how quick you are, and police services are sort of being misused this way. I remember being frazzled and extremely annoyed at that point as I had only had the phone for a couple of days. Ended up spamming a call three or four times to the cops to bypass without connecting a call. They called me back wondering what the deal was ? oops.

Phone Won't Boot

Hello,
So my Nexus 6P turned off randomly and then would not turn back on. It would come on and show Google and sometimes even let me enter my pin to start the phone. But it constantly would freeze during start up and just shut down. I got into the recovery and factory reset my phone and now it won't even turn on. I hold the power and it doesn't do anything. I've tried the boot loader and such but it won't turn on at all. Any ideas on what I could do? Thanks!

Sounds like you may have more than one problem, but many have been able to get a dead phone to start by holding the power button down for a very long time, sometimes 2 minutes or more. If it doesn't start, fully charge it and try the power button again. Assuming you are stock with a locked boot loader.... you didn't mention.
My phone is stock with a locked boot loader. I held the button for over 5 minutes and got nothing. I'm wondering if Google would be willing to help me out. Unless anyone has other ideas
It's hopeless. Don't waste your time trying to revive. Contact Huawei regardless of date of purchase.
If it won't power on it's either not charged, a bad power button, or something with pcm. Which is on Motherboard.
Most common scenario is a bad power button because it's most used breakable part. That won't allow the board to receive power or not enough power if it's shorted.
Dunno if you've poked around the interwebs some more regarding this, but I've been slammed with the N6P bootloop error (which appears might be part of your problem) and I found a stop-gap solution. If you feel like you've got nothing to lose, you can try what I've done: Make sure the phone has a little charge, hold it with a hot mitt from your kitchen, and blast the back of your N6P in the region between the camera lens and the fingerprint sensor with a hairdryer. Doing so will trip the big cluster off, which is the source of the bootloop problem. If you can get it to boot to the Google logo, applying the heat for the right amount of time (maybe not too long.. 2-4 minutes tops) may cause it to make it to the spinning color graphics and beyond.
I've been able to resurrect my phone doing this, but only to back it up and do very simple tasks. The moment I do something processor-intensive (Waze, YouTube, etc) it immediately crashes and bootloops again. The only solution beyond this is to unlock your bootloader, download EX Kernel manager and use it to completely disable the big cluster. Then your phone will likely be reliable, but extremely hobbled.
I bought from Best Buy about 16 months ago, so both Google and Huawei have been utterly useless, which is infuriating. Shenanigans like this are criminal. This is my 3rd Nexus phone and I'm considering abandoning Android altogether after this experience.

Lock screen bug

Just incase anyone else gets it, had a frustrating bug where after using the phone as normal throughout the day, I just went to unlock the phone using the to fingerprint unlock, which it said was unavailable and to use pin to unlock.
Upon inputting the pin it refused to accept the pin, was deffo correct used the same pin for years and years, no way I was getting it incorrect. No matter how many attempts it wouldn't work.
In the lock menu even holding down power I was unable to open the restart or turn off phone options aswell to compond the frustration.
After holding the power button for what felt like forever the phone performed a restart, the phone was able to be unlocked using the pin after the restart.
Had the phone for weeks and this is the 1 and only time it's occured. Just thought I would mention incase it happens to someone else
I can confirm that behavior and also the solution. Had that once as well.
Nearly the same issue here but in my case the power menu to restart the phone "normally" worked.....
