Hi,
How proximity sensor should work in X10?
Apparently mine doesn't work.
While I talk screen is not blank and I wondering how to enable or adjust proximity sensor to disable touch screen during conversation.
Any ideas?
Cheers!
edit: never mind, i found solution forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=736654
During a phone call any attempt to scroll down from the top of the screen turns the screen off.
This is caused by the proximity sensor, and according to Official Samsung representatives, cannot be disabled.
I have rooted my device.
Now, how can I disable this?
Thanks!
As with most things, a simple Google search finds the answer.
Google search: s5 disable proximity sensor xda

Hello guys,
I cracked the screen of my Nexus 4 and ordered a replacement screen + digitizer from ebay. After waiting 2 months and putting the phone together, I realised the proximity sensor isn't working. I followed some guides and realised I've lost the little bit of rubber that goes in between. Is there something else I can use, or even better, can I disable the proximity sensor entirely as it's not important to me at all?
Thanks
Yes. There is Xposed Framework plugin which allows you to disable it. I use it and it works good. The name of the app is Disable Proximity Sensor.
Is there anything we can do to fix proximity sensor on Cyanogen ROMS? I'm using GT-I9500. Sensor works normal on TW but on CM it's only a black screen and i can not end the call.
I used to pushed home button to wake up screen, but that's the only way I could resolved that problem.
Hey,
since the skype app exists I have the problem that if I'm having a call within Skype an I'm using my headset the proximity sensor is still on.
So if I put my hand over it, and that happens way more often than you think, the screen turns off.
Is there any way to turn of the proximity sensor on our loved S7 edge?
Actually my S7 edge isn't rootet but I'm willing to root it if that would solve my problem.
