Is it good or bad? Coz some people say it's bad as the battery isn't changeable. As when time passes by the battery gets damaged and when it completely does, your phone is broken already.. I want to buy A7 because it's so slim and I really like the design. But that is my concern. Any suggestions? TIA
Edit: I mean unlike removable batteries you can find class A batteries. But i think for A series, you need to buy the original one?

I found a good battery with the same capabilities as the OEM one that comes with the touch pro (1340 mAh). Best of all, it is less than 5 dollars with free shipping worldwide, but it is not the OEM, but looks similar.

Interesting, how's the quality so far? Is it holding the charging well?

I actually haven't bought this battery, but based on the reviews it looks pretty good. I just thought I'd like to share this deal with others.
I would never buy something like that...It is a good find but the price is a bit too low to be credible. I'd say if you want to buy a battery, go for a proper HTC one. I remember in the old days when I had a Nokia, I bought a battery that's not OEM and it didn't last half the time of the original one.
Actually I bought this battery.
To be honest, ... I don't know which is the original anymore.
They look identical and to my opinion just as good as the original one.
I also bought my screenprotector there (as for my other devices) which is very good.
I'd be very surprised if this $5 battery lasts more then 2 months.
There is a reason it is $5...
I also bought this battery. Looks and acts identical to the original. NO problems with it.
Usually, batteries like that start losing their capacity very quickly. I'd suggest going with the OEM battery. I was able to get it for $8 after making an offer to this ebay seller. Highly recommended.

I think the Seido batteries are considered a good brand, right? They are not OEM, but have a good rep and quality.
Are there bigger batteries that I can currently buy for the device?
Something which will extend my battery (by a significant amount)?
If so, I'd appreciate if you could link me where to buy one / the name of the battery.
If not, I assume companies will start making them soon, so is there any information about that?
Samsung has made this one: http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-i9100-power-pack-extended-battery
That gives you a total of 2950mAh. Looks like it's coming out in june or thereabouts.
Buying 3rd party extended batteries can be ok, but they always have much lower capacity than what they claim on their websites.
But doesn't an extended battery mean that it's a case with a battery?
Aren't there going to be any battery replacements that will give you more battery life?

Not without making the phone thicker, which is exactly what this is doing, while at the same time giving you the option to shed that weight and just use the standard battery when needed.

Wouldn't it just be easier holding a spare 1650 mAh battery then?
or an external one to charge the 1650mAh that doesn't make it thicker? one that has over 1300mAh?

That depends entierly on what you want . For me I think the best option would be to have a clip-on battery case that I use if I'm going to be extended periods away from a power socket. For you maybe it's better to have a spare battery, I don't know.
Battery is that small on SGS 1 i kept a spare in pocket .
Waiting for cheap genuine Samsung SGS 2 battery now .

The two options that sound best to me are:
1) Spare battery
2) http://www.clove.co.uk/proporta-usb-turbocharger-5000

Neither of those options appeal to me.
I dont want to be carrying extra separate items with me, it adds bulk and then there's the hassle of having to physically change the battery, and keep two charged.
At least with the extended batteries, your only changing the one thing, and sure it makes the phone thicker, but it also serves as a protective case.
The option that sounds best to me is for Samsung to get their F***ing heads out of their F***ing asses and make the phone 2 moth******ing millimeters thicker so we can get decent battery life!!! I mean seriously, who needs a phone to be this thin??
Ya it's cool to be thin but can I just have a $700 phone that I can use without being neurotic about power settings? Oh ya, and 2mm would have been just enough so that my phone is not resting on the very fragile camera lens every time I put it down.
In every other aspect I'm in love with this phone but you have to be a complete bonehead to make that call on the battery.
I cant speak for everyone but i get great battery life. 2x the battery of my vibrant, I can get a 1 1/2 days easily before it actually dies.
I am interested to see what extended batteries will look like. I think powerskins will make a great battery whenever that happens.

Any recommendations? Mine's almost 2 years old and its showing, having trouble making it through the day. Not interested inhaving to deal with a spare! I know there are a lot of these threads, but just wanted to make my own. I intend to buy one and then report my progress with it. I heard those EVO chichitech batteries were good but didn't fit well?

I use the the Mugen Power 3600mAh. The battery lasts long, how long I don't know exactly. I usually charge the phone every other day.
My guess is that 4 days would be OK before charging. I use a lot of 3G and wireless for surfing the Internet. Email, calendar of course.
The battery cover is made of rather cheap plastic and I was worried the hinges would break of as they did on my previous battery which was some other manufacturer (2700mAh?). This hasn't happened, seems like the cover is sturdy enough but could be made of much better material considering the price.
I recommend this battery.
Thanks! Anyone have a recommendation for one that fits in the stock battery door?

I recommend the HTC OEM EVO 4G Design battery, It fits perfect in our devices w/o any modifying or trimming. It's a whopping 1520mah compared to the 1300mah that comes with stock devices !

Since the back cover is removable, obviously I can see the battery just sitting in there. I know it isn't officially user replaceable but do you think we'll have options in a year or so if we want to get a new one in there? I love the battery life on this phone and I'm just worried about how much it will degrade. I plan on keeping it a long time.
I would think in about a year when the batteries start going south that you could get a replacement... At the very least you should be able to take it to a nearby cellphone repair store and have it replaced.
I know this Is a concern to me because as you flash different roms it really wears your battery.

I would think it trivial to replace in the future. Only question is parts. The smaller korean model battery should be available at least.
Well, is it worth the risk?
It's definitely a solid phone for that price. I'd be concerned about the battery though. The battery on the Nexus 6p has issues as it ages. I had an issue with mine where it would die when the battery meter reached 25%. Google replaced it with another Nexus 6p with an even worse battery. It would die when the battery meter reached 50%. Then they replaced that one with another Nexus 6p with a new battery. (It doesn't die until the battery meter reaches 0 and I checked the battery health with AccuBattery Pro). The phone is still smooth, the camera is still decent, front facing speakers are nice, and it has a headphone jack. I think I'm going to hang onto it for another year.
You will probably need to replace the battery and it's really difficult.
I think there is no 6P with more than 12-18 months and the stock OEM battery still in good state. (With this I mean: shut down at 1% not before and original out of the box battery life or even better in Oreo).

I think the phone is worth it but I will/anyone else will probably have to replace it. I am saving up to take it to a battery replacement place and it's like 80 dollars with warranty and testing.

I did this with my 6P. Bought a used one. Replaced the battery. And I had a fantastic phone for many months. It's still amazing phone.

What battery would you recommend? I am trying to find one but getting very mixed reviews and no concrete stat's about them. I am getting some money soon to do so and just want to get the best battery I can.

I got the original Cameron sino one (that costed like 30€). Was the most expensive and the best one, a few months ago. But today I've read that it changed and it's not the same battery. It's a thinner one without temp sensor and less capacity than the original one.
So i don't know what to recommend. There is a popular thread in XDA 6P forum discussing all the batteries.

I've heard that the original sinos are the best. Would be good to find them again and yes I've read that thread. Just hard to find concrete proof that xxxx battery is good. But I've heard the most stories about the sinos (besides the newer ones) if you hear about a place that sells them still. Please let me know... Or if you hear anything else.
No. 6P is built like junk, worst QC of any supposed top end phone. I've had two 6P bent. Have battery issues. This forum is filled with people getting replacements. 6P is junk. Huawei are crap and their CS is even worse.
You're coming from a Nexus 6? You're going to horrified by how crappy 6P is, it feels flimsy, it feels awful, it feels low quality. It feels like they used the thinnest, cheapest AL they could find, and crappiest plastic for the bezel. Run away.

Switched from a N6 to a 6P this past week. Bought on through Swappa with a new battery for $220 shipped. As much as I loved my N6, the 6P is definitely NOT worse! The camera is much better, the device feels a lot faster and battery lasts longer while charging when needed is much faster.
Given all the problems current flagship generations have, I'd rather spend a LOT less money on a proven model. Just be careful where and from whom you buy! :good:
My battery is totally shot phones 15 months old it has the early shutdown problem $200 is way to much risk at this point for any used 6P.

Early shut down is just because of your battery... Just need to replace it and you will be good to go again. It's still a really good device
It's really an unreliable piece of **** between the battery and bootloop issues yea it's got roms for it but who cares when the phone lasts a year.
Mine bent like a pretzel, yes those stories in the XDA mega thread were real after all. It also went on to develop the bootloop issue and required a Mainboard swap.
And finally the battery crapped out.
I wouldn't touch a Nexus 6p with a 10 foot pole at this point.

Just replaced the battery in my Nexus 6p. Bought this one https://goo.gl/jmYfn9 if you get one make sure it has the fat cable. Also be sure to get a replacement camera glass. You will most likely brake the glass. The camera glass is the only hard part about replacing the battery. Besides that it is easy and takes about 15 minutes.
