Splendid app for CM13 - ZenFone 2 General

Can someone port Asus Splendid app for cm13. Or is there any app like splendid app which can change color temperature of screen or can balance screen color??

not so sure if its a good idea. splendid plus cm13. = hottier phone. performance may trumble cuz of heat. but its just bad for gaming.

u got to ask a kernel developer ...it can be implanted in the kernel and use that feature from the kernel aduitor app

Kernel question.

Sorry to bang on and on but I'm new to all this, I'd like to know which kernel to use with CM7 and where to get it, I looked at IR kernel but they seemed a little out of date, what is everyone using with the nightlys? I have searched the forum but found nothing of use. I want better battery life and audio boost if possible.
I want to know what radios are but I'll try a search first.
TIA

Sort by date
IR's newest kernels are only a couple days old. When you are in Mediafire, make sure you sort by date to get the newest kernels to the top of the list. By default, Mediafire sorts by name so the oldest kernels show up first.
Hope this helps!
Thank you so much my friend! Was hard to spot from mobile browser! IR kernel successfully installed. Now what is the difference between them?

You don't know the difference??? And you still flash it... well, I suggest reading a bit more before you flash something... but the main difference between the CM kernel and IR's kernel is the inclusion CodeAurora's AVS (Adaptive Voltage Scaling) code
I was referring to : no boost, wififast etc

Explanation from WildMonk regarding kernels (i've been using his Kernel for half a year and i think the performance & battery life are much more better from CM7 stock kernel):
-What's the difference between CFS and BFS?
See this short post for the difference between Completely Fair Scheduler and Brain F*** Scheduler. In summery, CFS is better for multitasking, BFS is better for user interactions (keyboard, homescreen swiping, etc).
-What's the difference between SVS and AVS?
Static Voltage Scaling will change the voltage based on a set table created by the kernel maker. Example: At a certain speed, say 245MHz, 925mV is feed into the CPU. At 998MHz, 1225mV is used.
Adaptive Voltage Scaling will change the voltage depending on temperature and CPU needs. Personally, AVS is running rock solid for me but I can't say for sure if it will be for everyone so SVS kernels will continue to be made available.
-What is this "No Audio Boost Version"?
Many of the custom kernels posted in this forum and the kernels used by default in the CM6 roms have this feature where it increases the loudness of the speakers during calls. Its been reported that some bluetooth headsets are overly sensitive to the increased loudness and some have reported that it distorts the audio quality even though volume has been lowered by the user. Due to an overwhelming request to make a kernel without this feature, I have included a separate set with each release that does not boost the volume.
Thanx fella excellent explanations!!

If the kernel isn't capable of over clocking the GPU then that option in the app won't work such as Ktoonsez. Also, the faux kernel now has 5 options for the grayscale setting and the app has only 3. I believe his kernel is the only one like that. It's hard to create an app like this when kernel developers are not keeping a standard together. These are the only 2 options that may or may not work as intended based on the kernel.
If you use Faux or Ktoonsez they obviously come with their own app and can work those general features if they provide those options. Regardless, the heart of this app such as anti-aliasing, bits per pixel, and the framebuffer settings all work on any rom or kernel as they work with the file system and not the kernel. All custom kernels give the access to those options in the file system.
Got the app from the market..
GS3 running TW 4.1.2 MF1 custom rooted with LeanKernel 3.2.1 exp..
App loads, and I allowed the build.prop to be modified.
Rebooted selected the 2X and other suggestions for 'better than stock'..
status bar had some tearing / artifacts..
went to performance vs 2x, got rid of the visual problem, but frame buffer and bit depth are 'all selected'
greyscale is natural (default)
gamma is 2.0 (not stock)
- suggestions?
Thanks for the app..

The tearing at the top of the screen is still a mystery. Sometimes it's there and sometimes its not. Still working on a resolution.
I have never seen when all the options are lit. Can you still select anything?

thank you guys for reply
For me, Paranoid Android with MatrixKernel has given the best results.
My Antutu Score is around 3000 (21600 vs 18000 on normal Nexus 4) higher than stock Nexus 4, while still saving an amazing amount of battery.
Matrix chaging your minimal processor clock speed to 192 Mhz to save a lot of battery in idle mode. As well as undervolting out of the box to values that still run the phone very smoothly. I don't know what the other Kernel teams have been doing the last few weeks though. But for me Matrix works
Dude, you should definitely try PA with Franco if you're into modding and stuff. Then immediately change the color profile in Franco Updater app to have the BEST color display )

Shinto kernel! How is the kernel that smooth?

I have been using Shinto kernel for just about a week or so now, and I am spellbound with this kernel's performance! I mean this governor, Precognition, its just like a magic button of smoothness! Everything works so smooth that it feels like sometimes whether I am running Android or not!
But there is a slight thing which I would really like for the kernel to have, that is the Screen calibration feature, K cal app support, to make the default cinema mode even more accurate, so does anyone know how to achieve that with Shinto? I actually flashed some other kernel which has that feature and changed governor to Performance to achieve same smoothness of Shinto on Precog! But I don't want to use Performance as daily running governor! So if anyone has a clue kindly let me know.

Those profiles are for the OP3.
The OP3T is not supported,yet!
Any screenshots with battery stats?
I'm trying it. Flashed the file 2 hours ago and no errors, bootloops, crashes, force closing app etc. for now. Will report battery stats tomorrow because I have to fully charge my phone first. Just to mention : AFK (that for now is only for op3) is coming soon for op3t too
